What is a small moment from your past that you still think about years later? Honestly, I have three moments from my past that I still think about years later. Moment number #1. I still think about the moment when I officially got baptized for the 9th time in 30 years. I remember one Sunday morning February 15 2015; I got baptized by Pastor Jon at Fort McKinley United Methodist Church located on 3731 West Siebenthaler Avenue Dayton Ohio 45406.
It was 8 below zero on that day. I walked across the street during the time that I was living at Wentworth HiRise Apartments located in Dayton Ohio. I really did not sleep well the previous night because of some problems that I was dealing with from the apartment complex. However I achieved my goal by getting baptized at an United Methodist Church βͺοΈ π π π π. Afterwards I spent time with my AA SPONSOR after church on that Sunday Afternoon by going to the Waffle House restaurant.
The second moment from my past that I still think about is on Saturday June 17 1995: I graduated from the University of Toledo located on 2801 West Bancroft Street Toledo Ohio 43606. I remember that day because I spent the night at the Clarion Hotel located on Secor Road in Toledo Ohio Ohio because I caught a cab from the hotel to the University of Toledo campus because I had to report to the Glassbowl Stadium at 8:30am. Anyway, I saw my mother and my sister at the graduation. It made me smile because my family members did attend my college graduation. My boss and my colleagues at the Jerusalem Outreach Center were there as well. My friends also were there at my college graduation. My family members and friends had a party for me as well.
My family members spent the night in Toledo with me inside of my house. The first time that I graduated from the University of Toledo; my mother aunt and my two sisters attended my college graduation. My nephew was a baby and he was there as well. I didn’t want my family members to spend the night at the 126 Rosalind Place house because the neighborhood was bad.
At least they came to see where I was living at back in 1993. The year later; the house caught on fire with all of my stuff inside of the house. I was devastated about the house getting burned down. I was crushed emotionally and psychologically because all of my stuff got burned down completely.
The 3rd time is when I went to the United States Marine Corps Bootcamp located in Parris Island South Carolina for bootcamp and it was a very difficult experience for me. I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps for a very short time. Frankly I should have stayed in college at the Central State University in Wilberforce Ohio because I was doing so well in school. Even though I got fired from my job working at the YMCA and I didn’t have a place to live; I made a decision at the last minute to enliste in the United States Military simply because I didn’t have a place to live.
Therefore I ended up going back home and renting a room at a house located at 925 Porter Avenue Dayton Ohio 45405. I stayed at the Porter Avenue Location for 18 months from 1988 through 1989. I ended up getting involved in a relationship with an older woman. My relationship with her only lasted less than one year. I ended up having surgery on Friday May 4 1990. I also spent time with my relatives until I went to drug and alcohol treatment on June 1, 1990. I stayed at the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center for three months. I received treatment for a substance abuse disorder. I also had gonorrhea from having sex with my ex wife, and I didn’t know it.
On Friday September 1 1990 I left Dayton Ohio and moved to Toledo Ohio for 5.5 years. This is also during the time that I graduated from the University of Toledo and I was working part-time at the University of Toledo William Carlson Library as well as the Jerusalem Outreach Center as well. I really had a lot of fun living in the Toledo Ohio Area by spending time with my AA SPONSOR and my professional colleagues at the University of Toledo and the Jerusalem Outreach Center until I graduated from the University of Toledo back in 1995 for the second time.
I attended classes for another year until I relocated back to the Dayton Ohio Area on June 14 1996 due to a misunderstanding with the landlord at the 526 Highland Avenue home. I ended up moving back to Dayton Ohio and staying with my relatives again until I left Dayton Ohio on June 12th 1997. This is when I officially decided to move to the Charlotte North Carolina Area for 12 years. I stayed in Charlotte North Carolina from June 15, 1997 until January 5, 2010.
From January 6, 2010 until now; I was living from place to place during the first year until January 5, 2011. From January 5, 2011 until January 21st 2025 I lived at Wentworth HiRise Apartments located in Dayton Ohio. I got evicted evicted out of my apartment after 14 years of living there due to a fight with another resident. I am glad that I do not live there anymore because Wentworth HiRise Apartments has a very serious problem with bedbugs.
This apartment complex also have a very serious drug infestation problem. Currently I am living inside of an assisted living facility right now. It is a whole lot different than living inside of an apartment complex. I have been living there as of today 10 months. I have been clean and sober for 36.5 years now.
I am still in constant contact with God and Jesus Christ as well as my AA Sponsor and close friend on a regular basis. My constant contact with God and Jesus Christ are very important to me. I am definitely staying out of trouble. I got my criminal record expunged and I had written three books as well. My books are called: Essays My Grace is Sufficient for Me and The Best of Anthony Hopkins. My book publisher is Authorhouse Publishing Company located in Bloomington Indiana.
I am a 61 year old man who has a lot of common sense. I am sharing this information just to answer questions on a daily basis. Thank you for allowing me to answer this question to the best of my ability. In Jesus Wonderful Name I Pray Amen and Amen π π π β€οΈ.
Β Lord God and Jesus Christ; It is through Your Grace and Mercy that I am still here today π π β€οΈ. Thank you Lord God and Jesus Christ for keeping me clean and sober today π.Β Β
