If you live by the sword you shall die by the sword.  What Jesus is talking about is any weapon of your choice.  The sword can be anything that is capable of doing bodily harm to another person.  I remember when I was much younger, I used to carry a gun or a knife.  This weapon was used as a means of protecting myself.

I remember during the 1980s, Dayton Ohio used to have a gang problem.  Therefore I had to protect myself from other people.  I had a gun permit in Dayton Ohio and Toledo Ohio during the 1980s and the 1990s.  I was working all of the time.  Currently, I am not eligible for a gun permit because I suffer from Schizoid Affective Disorder.  I tried to kill myself because I was hearing voices that were not the Holy Spirit.

Finally, I want to inform all of you that I am do not carry weapons anymore.  My grandparents told me to get rid of my guns.  I did what I was told to do.  I know that I have my hands to fight with.  I am reading this Bible verse as a means of comfort.  I know that God is watching me and protecting me as well.
