7 Different Types of Prayer from the Bible

There is no one right way to pray. Throughout the Bible, we see several different types of prayer used. A strong prayer life incorporates various prayer types, which will help you through the many different situations you will face in your life. Here are seven different types of prayers for you to learn and master to take your prayer life to the next level.

1. Adoration

The first of these seven types of prayer is adoration. Adoration is praising God for who He is. God is the Lord of all and deserves our praise because of that alone. Psalm 99:5 encourages us to exalt the Lord because He is holy. Recognizing the Lord’s power, mercy, love, and more in your prayer life is good. Check out these three prayers from the Bible as examples of adoration:

Psalm 104:1-4

“Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty, covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent. He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters; he makes the clouds his chariot; he rides on the wings of the wind; he makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire.”

1 Kings 8:22-24

“Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the assembly of Israel and spread out his hands toward heaven, and said, ‘O Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above or on earth beneath, keeping covenant and showing steadfast love to your servants who walk before you with all their heart; you have kept with your servant David my father what you declared to him. You spoke with your mouth, and with your hand have fulfilled it this day.’”

Nehemiah 9:5b-6

“Stand up and bless the Lord your God from everlasting to everlasting. Blessed be your glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise. You are the Lord, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you.”

Application

Which of God’s characteristics do you admire and adore, and which inspires you the most? Make a list of as many things as possible about who God is, and keep them at hand when you pray. Each time you pray an adoration prayer, pick a few things off your list and tell Him that you adore those things about Him.

2. Lament

The next prayer type is the lament. God wants us to bring our fears, doubts, and despair to Him. In 1 Peter 5:7, we are told to cast all our anxieties on Him. We see countless examples of lament in the Bible, where faithful followers of God wrestled with doubts, difficulty, and even depression. An entire book of the Bible is called Lamentations, after all! Check out these three prayers from the Bible for examples of lament and sorrow and how we can approach God while feeling that way.

Psalm 88:1-7

“O Lord, God of my salvation, I cry out day and night before you. Let my prayer come before you; incline your ear to my cry! For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draws near to Sheol. I am counted among those who go down to the pit; I am a man who has no strength, like one set loose among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, like those whom you remember no more, for they are cut off from your hand. You have put me in the depths of the pit, in the regions dark and deep. Your wrath lies heavy upon me, and you overwhelm me with all your waves.”

Lamentations 5:1-5

“Remember, O Lord, what has befallen us; look, and see our disgrace! Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers, our homes to foreigners. We have become orphans, fatherless; our mothers are like widows. We must pay for the water we drink; the wood we get must be bought. Our pursuers are at our necks; we are weary; we are given no rest.”

Psalm 13:2-3

“How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death…”

Application

Has your heart been heavy and burdened lately? Do you feel anxious, depressed, angry, or grieved? Know that God’s arms are a safe place, and His listening ear is there for you. How can you tailor these laments to fit your current situation, feelings, and needs?

3. Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is the next type of prayer. Like adoration, thanksgiving is praising God for what He has done. God has done so much for each of us, not the least of which was sending Christ to save us from our sins. When praying, think of God’s actions in your life and recognize Him for that by giving thanks. This will also help you build an attitude of gratitude in your daily life. Check out these three prayers from the Bible for examples of thanksgiving.

Daniel 2:20-23

“Daniel answered and said: ‘Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. To you, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for you have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we asked of you, for you have made known to us the king’s matter.’”

Luke 1:46-55

“And Mary said, ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts; he has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of humble estate; he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his offspring forever.’”

1 Samuel 2:1–10

“And Hannah prayed and said, ‘My heart exults in the Lord; my horn is exalted in the Lord. My mouth derides my enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation. There is none holy like the Lord: for there is none besides you; there is no rock like our God. Talk no more so very proudly, let not arrogance come from your mouth; for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed. The bows of the mighty are broken, but the feeble bind on strength. Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, but those who were hungry have ceased to hunger. The barren has borne seven, but she who has many children is forlorn. The Lord kills and brings to life; he brings down to Sheol and raises up. The Lord makes poor and makes rich; he brings low and he exalts. He raises up the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and on them he has set the world. He will guard the feet of his faithful ones, but the wicked shall be cut off in darkness, for not by might shall a man prevail. The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; against them he will thunder in heaven. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth; he will give strength to his king and exalt the horn of his anointed.’”

Application

When you look back on your day for all the things – big and small – that God has done, you may be surprised! There are so many things that He does that we are unaware of. Sometimes the things we are thankful for create an overwhelming list! It may be helpful to write down your list of things you are grateful for in a journal or try this fun activity:

Take a jar, box, or other container and decorate it any way you would like. Next, write down on scraps of paper things you are thankful for, fold them up, and add to the jar. Be sure to add one thing a day, minimum. Then, when you are praying, pull out a few paper scraps and thank God for those things. Let Him know you see and appreciate His hand moving in your life.

4. Petition

The fourth type of prayer is petition. Petition is what many people imagine when they think about prayer. It means asking God for something, whether for yourself or someone else. And God certainly wants us to do this! Philippians 4:6 tells us to let our requests be known to God. But prayer is not just about asking God to do things for us – it’s just one of the many ways that He wants us to communicate with Him. Check out these three prayers from the Bible for examples of petition.

Ephesians 3:14-21

“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

1 Timothy 2:1-4

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

Genesis 18:22-32

“Then Abraham drew near and said, ‘Will you indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked? Suppose there are fifty righteous within the city. Will you then sweep away the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous who are in it? Far be it from you to do such a thing, to put the righteous to death with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the wicked! Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?’ And the Lord said, ‘If I find at Sodom fifty righteous in the city, I will spare the whole place for their sake.’ Abraham answered and said, ‘Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord, I who am but dust and ashes. Suppose five of the fifty righteous are lacking. Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five?’ And he said, ‘I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there.’ Again he spoke to him and said, ‘Suppose forty are found there.’ He answered, ‘For the sake of forty I will not do it.’ Then he said, ‘Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak. Suppose thirty are found there.’ He answered, ‘I will not do it, if I find thirty there.’ He said, ‘Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord. Suppose twenty are found there.’ He answered, ‘For the sake of twenty I will not destroy it.’ Then he said, ‘Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak again but this once. Suppose ten are found there.’ He answered, ‘For the sake of ten I will not destroy it.’

Application

In Mark 10:51, Jesus asked a blind man, “What do you want me to do for you?” God knows our every need and the desire of our hearts, yet He wants us to have a conversation with Him and ask Him for those needs. What needs and desires do you have that you can ask Him for today? Come to Him with a thankful heart, and write down what you’ve asked Him for after you’ve prayed. When you receive an answer to that prayer (whether it is yes, no, or wait), write it down. You’ll be amazed when you look back at how Jesus comes alongside you and answers you.

5. Deliverance

The next prayer type is deliverance. Prayers of deliverance are similar to prayers of petition. They are requests made to God to save us or others from challenging or dangerous situations. But they also acknowledge that we can do nothing apart from God and that He has the power to save. These prayers are all over the Bible – especially in King David’s Psalms. Check out these three prayers from the Bible for examples of prayers for deliverance.

Psalm 3

“O Lord, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; many are saying of my soul, ‘There is no salvation for him in God.’ But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy hill. I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the Lord sustained me. I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. Arise, O Lord! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to the Lord; your blessing be on your people!”

Luke 22:39-42

“And [Jesus] came out and went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him. And when he came to the place, he said to them, ‘Pray that you may not enter into temptation.’ And he withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed, saying, ‘Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.’”

Jonah 2

“Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish, saying, ‘I called out to the Lord, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice. For you cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the flood surrounded me; all your waves and your billows passed over me. Then I said, ‘I am driven away from your sight; yet I shall again look upon your holy temple.’ The waters closed in over me to take my life; the deep surrounded me; weeds were wrapped about my head at the roots of the mountains. I went down to the land whose bars closed upon me forever; yet you brought up my life from the pit, O Lord my God. When my life was fainting away, remembered the Lord, and my prayer came to you, into your holy temple. Those who pay regard to vain idols forsake their hope of steadfast love. But I with the voice of thanksgiving will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed I will pay. Salvation belongs to the Lord!’ And the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah out upon the dry land.”

Application

Think back to a time when you were in a dangerous or difficult situation and needed help. Did you cry out to God for help? How did He answer? Are you in a situation now that feels hopeless unless He intervenes? Are there things in your life from which you need to find freedom? Struggles you have from which you need deliverance? Ask Him for what you need and set it before His feet. Trust that He will help you and ask Him to speak to you.

6. Contrition

The sixth type of prayer is contrition. Contrition is the feeling of remorse and the desire to repent of sin. You are probably familiar with prayers like this, which ask God for forgiveness for things we have done. They are essential prayers that allow us to confess our wrongdoing and reconnect with our forgiving Heavenly Father. Psalm 51 tells us that when we mess up, God desires “a broken and contrite heart” from us. Check out these three prayers from the Bible for examples of prayers of contrition or asking for forgiveness.

Psalm 51:1-4

“Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment.”

Luke 18:9-14

“[Jesus] also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: ‘Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Psalm 32:1-5

“Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,’ and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.”

Application

It’s often difficult to admit that we have made mistakes or sinned. God already knows every nuance of you, your day, and what you have thought or done. When you bring those things to Him, He offers you forgiveness and freedom from them. Take a few moments to think through your day and week. Are there things for which you need to ask forgiveness? Are there unresolved things from your past that you want God to forgive?

7. Guidance

The last of the types of prayer that we will cover are prayers for guidance. Similar to prayers for deliverance, these conversations with God allow us to acknowledge God’s sovereignty. We can express that He knows best and that we trust him to direct our lives when we ask Him for guidance. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us that we should not lean on our own understanding, but instead trust in the Lord with all our heart. Check out these three prayers from the Bible for examples of prayers for guidance.

1 Kings 3:4-9

“And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place. Solomon used to offer a thousand burnt offerings on that altar. At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said, ‘Ask what I shall give you.’ And Solomon said, ‘You have shown great and steadfast love to your servant David my father, because he walked before you in faithfulness, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart toward you. And you have kept for him this great and steadfast love and have given him a son to sit on his throne this day. And now, O Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of David my father, although I am but a little child. I do not know how to go out or come in. And your servant is in the midst of your people whom you have chosen, a great people, too many to be numbered or counted for multitude. Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?’”

Psalm 25:4-5

“Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”

Jeremiah 10:23-24

“I know, O Lord, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps. Correct me, O Lord, but in justice; not in your anger, lest you bring me to nothing.”

Application

God sent His Holy Spirit to live in your heart when you asked Jesus into your life. He promises that if we ask for wisdom and guidance, He will give it generously (James 1:5). Where do you need guidance in your life today? Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you, give you the knowledge and wisdom you need, and provide you with direction. You can create a fun visual of the directions God gives you by creating a map. Start where you are and draw a path where His Spirit leads you as He guides you. Drawing a map can be a fun way to detail the journey and a way to look back on how He navigates you through life’s twists and turns.

The Lord’s Prayer

Remember, a strong prayer life will regularly incorporate these seven different types of prayer in your conversations with God. For an example of this, look no further than Jesus’ prayer in Luke 11:1-4, commonly referred to as the Lord’s Prayer:

“Now Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he finished, one of his disciples said to him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.’ And he said to them, ‘When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.’”

Can you identify the different types of prayer included in that single prayer?

Hopefully, by identifying these different types of prayer, you will be able to strengthen your prayer life!

Your Turn!

Hopefully, by identifying these different types of prayer and putting them into your own words, you will be able to strengthen your prayer life! Take the time to work on each kind of prayer and go through the application activities to help you deepen your time speaking to the Lord.

Remember that a strong, healthy prayer life requires a conversation with the One who loves you the most. Take the time to speak to the Lord every day, as often as possible, and watch your relationship with Jesus grow!

Hope for Broken Lives

You and I live in a world filled with brokenness. And with all the hurt and heartache and brokenness in our world, it can be easy to start wondering, “Is there any hope?”

Not unlike us, the prophet Jeremiah lived in a time of great hopelessness. God’s people had turned away from Him, and Israel and Judah were in shambles. The nation faced political upheaval, many Jews had been sent off in captivity to Babylon, and the temple had been destroyed.

Brokenness, heartache, and pain were everywhere… sound familiar?

It’s in this context we find a living illustration of hope for broken lives. Jeremiah 18:2–6 says…

“Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will let you hear my words.” So I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was working at his wheel. And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do. Then the word of the Lord came to me: “O house of Israel,  can I not do with you as this potter has done? declares the Lord. Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.

Pottery is one of the oldest, most ancient arts. It remains virtually unchanged from its earliest conception. If you went to a potting shed in the Middle East or even in this country today, you would discover that pottery is made virtually the same way as it has been done year after year, generation after generation.

The potter puts a lump of clay on the wheel and turns it and shapes it to makes a vessel. This is where God sent Jeremiah. So what do we learn from his visit to the potter’s shed?

Failure is not final when you put your life in the Master’s hands.

Your failure – your brokenness – is not final!

Because just like the clay on the potter’s wheel, you are in the Master’s hands!

The divine Potter sovereignly breaks us, shapes us, and makes us into the persons that He desires us to be. God is the master workman, and He has a plan and a purpose for your life.

The Bible says you are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). The handprint of God is upon every life, the echo of God is in every soul. And His design… His desire is to make a beautiful vessel for His glory… will not fail. You are made to be valuable and beautiful and useful.

The clay represents you and me. Now something to know about clay is that it is colorless. It’s basically worthless in and of itself. There’s no beauty in the clay itself.

But when God gets His hands on the clay and begins to shape it and make it and even break it and bend it, He makes something beautiful out of your life.

So we have God as the potter, and you and me as the clay. And then we have the wheel. The wheel represents the daily turns and twists of life.

It is directed by the Potter, turned by the hand and the feet of God. Life is on God’s potter’s wheel. And so when we, the clay, are tossed onto the wheel of life and begin to turn, the master craftsman begins to shape us with each turn and twist. Sometimes rapidly speeding up the wheel, sometimes slowing it down to an almost interminable level.

This is not blind fate or chance. It is life directed by the divine Potter. We’re not simply going round and round in circles. According to Ephesians 2:10, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, you are “his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand.”

And you can be certain that none of your experiences will be wasted. God is sovereign over all of the twists and turns in your life… in tragedy, in sorrow, in grief, in pain. He knows it all and He’s working in it. And when you go through one of those times in life when the pressure is on, remember the words of Romans 8:28… “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

There’s one more thing I want you to see at the potter’s house. It’s the spoiling of a person’s life.

Look at verse 4 of Jeremiah 18… “And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand.” Spoiled! Marred. There is a defect that shows up! You can imagine the frown on the potter’s face. And the wheel slows, and his hands cease moving as he finds something in the clay that is resistant to the work of his hand. A stiffness, a brittleness, a defiance to the potter’s plans.

Maybe you are resisting the work of God’s hands in your life. Some secret in your life that is stiffening you. Some impurity in the clay of your life. A brittleness, a bitterness. And God cannot do what He desires to do in the design of your life to bring about the beauty and glory He has planned because you’re holding back, pushing Him away.

Thank God that’s not the end of the story. The master craftsmen has a tool up his sleeve – grace. When the vessel was spoiled, what did God do? Did he throw it away? No! He reworked it… He reshaped it into another vessel. He didn’t simply mend it. He made it anew into something beautiful and unimagined.

Second Corinthians 5:17 tells us “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” You don’t just get a fresh start. No, you get a brand-new life in Christ!

Our God, the divine Potter… is the God of the second chance and the third and the fourth and another and another. It’s that marvelous grace, that majestic, magnificent grace, that remakes you from the inside out.

So my friend, be encouraged today. The divine Potter making all things new! And He will do that in you because failure in your life never has to be final when you put your life in the Master’s hands.

Verdic Reading 2

Now… let’s dive into the heart of your reading, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

I want you to take a close look at your strengths and imagine all the ways you can harness them…

And as we proceed further…

Look at your challenges with an open mind so you can understand how to rise above them.

I’m about to reveal a game-changing secret that will help you with both, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com, but first…

Let’s explore the essence of who you truly are…

Which is revealed in your unique and individual birth chart…

Your Overall Reading:

Your Vedic Sign is Gemini: Mithuna (June 15–July 14)

Welcome hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com! Your sign is Mithuna, the second sign in the Vedic Zodiac.

You’re naturally curious and vibrant…

Full of life…

And always on the lookout for new experiences.

You are constantly absorbing information, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

Because that’s what you do best.

You have a youthful energy that makes you the life of any gathering…

And your mind is always buzzing with fresh ideas and thoughts.

Your ability to communicate is unparalleled…

That’s why you are excellent at articulating your thoughts and feelings…

Those that others might struggle to express.

This skill also makes you a wonderful storyteller and conversationalist, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

Everyone enjoys listening to your funny tales and exciting insights.

You’re adaptable, able to flow from one situation to another with ease…

Making you a natural at navigating changes and new environments.

But this Vedic sign doesn’t only make you outgoing and adaptable.

Your dual nature means you can see multiple sides of an issue.

You’re torn between choices most of the time…

Which can sometimes make you seem indecisive.

However…

It’s your ability to understand diverse perspectives that defines you.

Relationships with you are never boring.

Your partners and friends value your intellectual approach and your constant quest for growth and knowledge.

However, they might sometimes find it challenging to keep up with your ever-changing interests and passions.

You need space and variety.

Physically and emotionally.

The thought of routine scares you, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com, doesn’t it?

You crave freedom and enough room to explore.

This can sometimes make you feel restless…

But it’s just your nature encouraging you to seek out the new and undiscovered.

Your Mithuna traits make you incredibly versatile…

And your constant need for intellectual stimulation helps you stand out from the crowd.

You’re a whirlwind of thoughts and charm that brings light and energy into the lives of everyone you meet.

Your Health Reading:
Mithuna And Health

Your Mithuna Vedic sign makes you naturally drawn to everything that brings excitement and variety to your life…

Which can really shape how you manage your health.

You love being on the go, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

And this constant motion keeps you physically active.

But sometimes, in the thrill of it all…

You might forget to slow down.

But your body needs those quiet moments to rest and recharge…

Just as much as your mind loves new stimuli.

Speaking of your mind…

It’s always buzzing, isn’t it, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com?

Ideas, plans, conversations…

They all keep turning in your head.

This mental energy is one of your superpowers…

But it might make it tough for you to switch off and relax.

This could stir up some uncomfortable sleep issues…

Or make you feel anxious if you don’t find ways to unwind.

Simple exercises like a few minutes of deep breathing…

Or a short walk can be incredibly grounding and help calm your busy brain.

Now, let’s talk about your eating habits.

With your love for new experiences…

Sticking to a regular meal schedule might seem a bit dull.

However, your erratic eating can throw your energy levels off balance.

Try to mix healthy eating with your need for variety, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com.

Experiment with new recipes or exotic ingredients to keep mealtime exciting and nutritious.

Your sign rules the lungs and arms…

So activities that get you breathing deeply and moving your arms are perfect for you.

Think swimming, yoga, or a quick jog.

These will not only boost your physical health…

But can also help you manage stress effectively…

Which is crucial for someone as lively as you.

Balance your dynamic lifestyle with periods of calm and rest.

This will keep you healthy and ready to tackle your next adventure with that signature Mithuna zest.

So, embrace your need for variety…

But remember to pause and care for yourself amidst all the excitement.

Your Wealth Reading:
Mithuna And Wealth

As a Mithuna, your approach to wealth and finances is as dynamic and versatile as your personality.

Your innate curiosity and sharp intellect drive you to explore all kinds of opportunities…

Which can be a great way to increase your income.

You’re not one to shy away from modern or unconventional methods of earning, saving, or investing.

This makes you well-suited to thrive in environments that others might find too risky or volatile.

Your quick wit and adaptability allow you to make smart decisions on the fly…

Especially in situations that require strategic thinking.

However, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

Your love for variety and new experiences might sometimes make you a bit…

Impulsive.

You enjoy the thrill of making new purchases and investing in new experiences…

Which can sometimes put a strain on your finances if not kept in check.

Balancing your budget might feel like a mundane task…

But trust me, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

Creating a plan for your financial adventures can ensure that you don’t end up in tricky situations.

Setting aside funds for your exploratory desires while maintaining a safety net is key.

Think of managing your finances as another puzzle to solve…

A game that requires both creativity and logic…

Skills you possess in abundance.

Your ability to communicate effectively is another strength in your financial toolkit.

You can negotiate salaries, pitch ideas, or network…

Everything that involves using your words can open the doors for new opportunities.

Also, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

Consider partnering with someone who can provide consistency and depth to your breadth of interests.

This can boost your finances in ways you don’t expect.

You are not here just to make money…

You are learning how to make smart, informed choices that reflect your dynamic nature…

And sustain your lifestyle over the long term.

Your Love Reading:
Mithuna And Love

Mithuna is your Vedic zodiac sign…

Your love life is likely as vibrant and dynamic as you are.

You bring excitement and curiosity into all your relationships…

And are always eager to explore new things with your partner.

This makes you an engaging and unpredictable lover…

And there’s never a dull moment when you’re around.

Your gift for communication means you’re great at expressing your feelings and thoughts…

Which is a huge plus in any relationship.

You thrive on deep conversations and playful banter…

And you need a partner who can keep up with your quick wit and ever-changing interests.

You’re not just looking for a lover…

But for someone who can truly be your intellectual companion.

However, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

Your need for variety can sometimes make you restless or indecisive in your relationships.

You frequently ask yourself what else is out there…

Even when things are going well.

But it’s not that you’re fickle!

You just crave stimulation and excitement…

And fear being stuck in monotony.

Being aware of this can help you recognize when you’re genuinely dissatisfied…

Or just craving a new adventure to keep things exciting.

You’re at your best with a partner who respects your need for independence and personal space.

Clinginess or too much emotional intensity can make you feel trapped…

Leading you to escape ASAP.

A relationship that balances intimacy with personal freedom can be ideal for you.

To keep your love life fulfilling…

Find ways to inject new experiences into your relationship.

Think about traveling together, trying new hobbies…

Or simply having spontaneous dates.

Remember, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

The key for you is to be with someone who loves the chase and the adventure as much as you do…

Someone who can make your heart flutter with just a word and who always keeps you guessing.

This will keep the romance alive and kicking…

Just the way you like it.

Now, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com, I’m SO excited to share a secret toolkit with you that will turn any ordinary day…

Into an extraordinary one.

Your birth chart is not like any other I’ve seen in my decades of experience, and I can’t wait to share more with you, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

However… I need your permission to continue because what I’m about to reveal is INCREDIBLY sensitive and deeply personal information…

I thought I had seen it all, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

But your chart really impressed me.

It’s amazing how the universe works in mysterious ways…

This meeting we are having is not by chance.

When you understand what I’m about to show you…

You’ll be empowered to fully embody your most authentic, successful, abundant, and magnetic side.

And create a life filled with health, joy, and unconditional love.

YES! I give you permission to share this secret with me, Violet! >>

Vedic Astrology Reading for hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com

Born on June 24, 1965

hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com, I’m shocked at what I saw in your reading!
When the universe puts these kinds of synchronicities in my path…
I can’t help but get goosebumps, no matter how many times they happen.
But first, I want to tell you something.
I know the past year hasn’t been a bed of roses.
Things have been tough for you, right?
And it almost feels like you are not allowed to complain…
Everyone is just so wrapped up in their own story, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com.
So you just keep things to yourself…
And carry a burden that’s impossible for anyone to carry…
But somehow, you’ve gotten used to it.

Well, this is NOT what you are here for.

And I don’t want you to get used to this kind of stress and call it “life.”
I refuse to let you settle for less than the breathtaking destiny you were born to experience.
That’s why I’m SO happy to share this with you.

You see, the cosmic influencer Rahu…

Could explain why you feel like you’re constantly swimming against the current.

hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com, if you’ve experienced more than your fair share of setbacks…

Or if everything in life has felt a little harder than it should…

I really want you to understand that it’s NOT your fault…

NONE of it!

Rahu is known in Vedic astrology for
its powerful and disruptive energy.

If it is negatively active in your chart… It can feel like every step forward is met with two steps back. That’s why you feel like you’re paddling upstream without a paddle. This shadow planet is here to test us… To push us to our limits, to help us grow… And find our true path. But, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com, it sure doesn’t make the process feel easy! Let me explain further. In Vedic astrology, Rahu is not a physical planet. It’s the North Node of the Moon.  It represents our karmic path and the lessons we have to learn, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com.  But it’s also known for its shadowy nature.

Rahu magnifies the characteristics of
the zodiac sign through which it transits…

Always aiming to help us grow through the challenges it presents.

On October 30, 2023…

Rahu made an important shift from the fiery, action-oriented Aries…

Into the deep, introspective waters of Pisces.

And it will remain there until May 18, 2025.

Now, this transition has made us approach life differently.

It has moved from a sign that takes bold action and focuses on self-assertion…

To one that requires us to dive into the depths of our subconscious…

And embrace our spiritual path.

Now, some people were hit harder than others by this transition, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com.

I just looked at your birth chart and yep…

Unfortunately, this had a bigger impact on you than on most people.

When Rahu is expressed in its negative side…

You may feel:

  • Confused and unable to connect with your inner compass
  • Pessimistic and unlucky
  • Blind to the opportunities that are right for you
  • A prey for others to take advantage of

However, Rahu has a positive side, too.

There is a shadow and a light side to all planets and zodiac signs.

And, unfortunately…

You’ve only experienced the “dark” side of Rahu.

I’m so sorry for that, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com.

But I have FANTASTIC news!

All of this can change.
At this exact moment.

When Rahu expresses its bright side in your life, you can:

  • Heal from past wounds and dissolve old patterns
  • Effortlessly connect with your intuition and inner wisdom
  • Feel a sense of oneness with the universe
  • Unleash your creativity and use your talents for the greater good

These gifts can feel like unlocking a new level in a game…

Where you suddenly have access to hidden maps and secret tools.

What if I told you…

Today can be the last day you have to deal with the oppressive effects of Rahu’s dark side, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com?

This is your chance to leverage ALL the lessons you learned in the past year…

And apply all the inner wisdom and strength you’ve acquired to make a HUGE transformation in your life.

The odds are back in your favor, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com!

FINALLY!

However, for this shift to happen, you must…

Get to know yourself on a deep, spiritual level

Maximize your strengths

Discover your blind spots and overcome your weaknesses

And have the exact guidance you need to make HUGE changes in your life

Vedic astrology is like a treasure map to your true self.

It doesn’t just predict what will happen in your life…

As if you are not the one steering the wheel.

It’s a tool that guides you to your deeper purpose.

Connecting with your inner calling is like finding your own personal “Felix Felicis”.

Remember the magic potion from Harry Potter?

That gives the drinker a perfect day where everything goes right?

When you align yourself with your inner calling, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com.

Every single day has the potential to be EXTRAORDINARY.

You have a unique mission to fulfill, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

Something you’re here to do.

Discovering what that is can help you align your actions with your soul’s desires…

Life will flow more smoothly.

You’ll find that obstacles dissolve and doors open almost magically.

That’s why I was so pleasantly surprised when I looked at your chart today.

You are on the verge of something truly incredible…

But again, you have free will…

And it’s up to you to unlock the wonders that await you.

Absolutely EVERYTHING happens for a reason, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com.

If you are reading this, know that you have been brought here by a power greater than we can imagine.

This is your opportunity to turn your life around for good…

To stop struggling and start flowing with EASE…

To stop feeling hurt and start being loved unconditionally…

To stop feeling weak and powerless and become invincible.

Your future is INCREDIBLE, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com!

I saw it in your chart.

But it’s still in its potential phase.

This transition period of Rahu is a critical time.

You have a window of opportunity to adjust your sails and catch the wind.

If you miss this opportunity, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

You may find the coming months and years just as challenging…

If not more so.

This is EXACTLY why I created this free Vedic Astrology reading, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

I know that, with the right knowledge and direction…

You can turn the tide.

It’s time to turn your challenges into stepping stones, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

And your struggles into pathways of growth.

In your reading, your life looks AMAZING, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com…

But only IF you make the right choices today.

ARE YOU READY, hopkinsanthony33@gmail.com?

YES! I’m ready for the rest of my reading, Violet! >>

THUR 20 FEB 2025 _*"FREEDOM FROM SIN"*_ _*If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)*_ The word confess in the verse above is translated from the Greek, _*“Homologeo.”*_ It’s a verb, which means to make declaration. But in the context of our opening verse, it means to acknowledge. If we acknowledge our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Let’s also read Romans 3:24; it talks about God’s righteousness and the forgiveness of sin: _*“Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness, for the remission of sins that are past…that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”*_ God is righteous, and in His righteousness, He puts away man’s sins and justifies him. Can you imagine that? It doesn’t say God justifies the one who confesses his sins and asks for forgiveness. He’s not so much after you getting forgiveness as He is after the real reason for forgiveness. Forgiveness is from the Greek word “Aphiemi” and it means freedom. The Father’s focus is freedom from sin. Already, you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus! You’re the expression of His righteousness. Acts 13:38 tells us something remarkable; it says, _*“Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man (Jesus) is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins. And by him7 all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the Law of Moses. Justified means to declare not guilty, acquitted, free—freedom from sin*_.

When we say freedom from sin, we’re not talking about freedom from the bondage of sin but freedom from sinning. Freedom from the bondage of sin refers to Satan’s dominion which has been broken. But freedom from sin means the ability and possibility to live righteously and not to do wrong. Is that possible? Emphatically yes! It’s what Jesus came to do; otherwise, it means His purpose wasn’t accomplished. But thanks be unto God; He fulfilled His purpose. He was made sin so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). Now sin shall not have dominion over you (Romans 6:14). We’ll learn more in our next study. *PRAYER*

Dear Father, I thank you for the freedom from sin that I have through Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that through His sacrifice, I am justified, cleansed, and sin-free. I walk in righteousness and manifest your glory in all that I do, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Thank you.
God Bless You 🙏.

When Gratitude Leads You to Accept Less Than You Deserve

Summary.

It’s no secret that practicing gratitude offers numerous benefits that can significantly enhance both individual and organizational performance. But excessive gratitude has its pitfalls….more

It’s no secret that practicing gratitude offers numerous benefits that can significantly enhance both individual and organizational performance. Research shows that it leads to increased engagement, higher productivity, and better retention rates. Gratitude can also be a tool for long-term success, fostering a positive mindset and leading to increased job satisfaction.

But what if we told you that gratitude also has its pitfalls?

We’re an unlikely duo—a gratitude and well-being scholar (Lan) and a CEO and executive advisor (Mike)—who connected on LinkedIn and engaged with each other’s content. During our discussions, we both reflected on our career journeys, realizing we shared a common regret: not having been more proactive in self-advocacy throughout our professional lives. This common ground stemmed from our humble beginnings, which had instilled in us a deep sense of gratitude for even the smallest of opportunities or acknowledgments, often at the expense of asserting our own worth and potential. As we delved deeper into the subject, we realized that an imbalanced approach to gratitude can have negative effects on our reasoning and decision making.

If you have ever accepted a modest raise, taken on a lateral move, or agreed to an additional project despite your full workload—all while feeling grateful for your manager’s recognition, yet silencing your true ambitions for fear of seeming ungrateful—you have experienced one of the pitfalls of excessive gratitude, without even realizing it.

But this isn’t as uncommon as you think.

Three Pitfalls of Excessive Gratitude

Falling into a gratitude trap could make us complacent and hinder professional development by creating a barrier to effective self-advocacy. Failing to balance appreciation for what we have and the drive to improve our circumstances can possibly lead to a career where your contributions are praised but the eventual outcome is missed opportunities for professional growth. As you embark on or continue your gratitude practice, be mindful of these three pitfalls—and learn how to avoid them.

Pitfall #1: Becoming content with the status quo or settling for less

Let’s say you get a chance to contribute to an important project. While it’s an exciting opportunity, it’s not exactly what you hoped for. You really aspired to lead this project. You might think to yourself, “I should be grateful I’m on the project. I’m better off than those who didn’t get this chance at all.” This is a classic example of downward social comparison, wherein gratitude can lead you to compare your situation favorably to others who may be less fortunate. While this perspective can be valuable at times, it can also be a barrier to self-improvement and advocacy.

How to avoid this pitfall:

To avoid complacency and missed opportunities, understand that self-promotion is essential for career growth, and recognize that aspiring for more does not negate gratitude for present circumstances. In fact, aspiring for more reflects a healthy ambition and a desire for continuous improvement.

In a situation like this, engage with your manager to discuss your professional journey by highlighting your capabilities. Affirm your commitment to your ongoing project’s success. Then, clearly articulate your aspirations using “I statements” (e.g., I feel prepared to lead…).

“I statements” allow you to express your perspective assertively while helping listeners understand your viewpoint without feeling attacked, facilitating clearer communication. They also enhance emotional intelligence by increasing awareness of your own emotions. For example, instead of saying “You don’t give me enough stretch projects,” reframe this statement: “I feel ready to take on more challenging assignments that expand my skill set, and I’d like to discuss how I can contribute more to the team.”

This reframing avoids blame, centers a proactive mindset, and invites collaborative dialogue about growth opportunities.

Pitfall #2:  Avoiding critical conversations

An overemphasis on gratitude can make you hesitant to voice legitimate concerns, potentially missing opportunities for improvement. For instance, you may feel hesitant to broach topics such as racism, sexism, or discriminatory behaviors with those in positions of authority or influence, such as managers, donors, founders, or board members because you feel it is expected of you to be grateful for the support they have given you. Or you might hesitate to tell your manager that you might be experiencing burnout fearing you’ll appear ungrateful for the opportunity to work on important projects.

The fear of being perceived as ungrateful for opportunities “given” to you can create a barrier to open communication, where valid concerns are suppressed, perpetuating a cycle of silence around important issues that need addressing.

How to avoid this pitfall:

Expressing appreciation for opportunities or support doesn’t preclude addressing uncomfortable topics, including systemic issues. One way to avoid this pitfall is by adjusting your mindset to focus on what you have earned (“I’m grateful my manager recognized my high performance and assigned this project to me”) more than what you have been gifted (“I’m grateful my manager gave me the opportunity to work on this project”). This shift in mindset can help you feel empowered to have difficult conversations with your manager.

For example, to address concerns about equity, you can try to frame necessary reforms as commitments to shared values rather than personal attacks on any individual or the leadership team. You could say, “Thank you for fostering a culture where feedback is valued, and we feel heard. To embody our commitment to inclusion, I’d like to work with you to address how promotion timelines disproportionately impact caregivers.” This approach creates a foundation of goodwill that can facilitate challenging conversations while aligning your concerns with the company’s broader mission, increasing the likelihood that your suggestions will be well-received and acted upon.

When discussing workload concerns with your supervisor, present concrete data demonstrating how your capacity has been exceeded. For instance, if you are experiencing burnout risks due to competing priorities, you might say: “I aim to maintain high-quality output on our key projects; however, my current workload is creating conflicting demands. I have three project kick-offs over the next 10 days. And each requires a prep of at least three days. Perhaps we could review organizational priorities to identify tasks that could be temporarily scaled back or reassigned, ensuring that I focus on the most critical areas and perform at high standards without experiencing burnout.”

Pitfall #3: Masking negative emotions

While gratitude can be a powerful tool for well-being, an excessive focus on positivity can sometimes lead to emotional suppression. This phenomenon, often termed “toxic positivity,” occurs when gratitude practices are used to bypass or minimize legitimate concerns and negative experiences. Research also shows that individuals may experience cognitive dissonance when they feel compelled to project positivity despite experiencing negative emotions. By constantly seeking silver linings, you may unintentionally avoid confronting difficult emotions or addressing the underlying issues that are contributing to them.

Say, you’re entrusted with every high-profile project on the team and that makes you feel proud, accomplished, and valued. But you also feel frustrated and overwhelmed at the sheer quantum of that work. You work weekends and nights to get through your to-do list. But you choose not to voice this because you’re grateful for the immense flexibility your manager has extended to you, which has made it easier for you to manage work and life responsibilities.

How to avoid this pitfall:

Remember that it’s normal to have a multitude of emotions and that all emotions are valid and serve a purpose, even the uncomfortable ones. Having the courage to feel negative emotions can be empowering—it can be the fuel you need to push for change.

Setting boundaries is an essential part of this process and it involves clearly communicating your limits and needs to others. For example, in the situation above, you can express your appreciation for another opportunity while transparently outlining how you feel about your current workload. You might say: “Thank you for considering me for another exciting opportunity. I’m eager to start, but I’m also committed to excelling in my current work on [projects]. It’s been challenging managing the competing deadlines for these three projects, and I was wondering if you could help me figure how we should we sequence this new initiative?”

By acknowledging all your emotions and setting clear boundaries, you create a healthier environment that supports self-advocacy.

Gratitude is vital for mental wellbeing, but it is also important to be mindful of its pitfalls. As you navigate the complex landscape of modern business, it’s crucial to recognize that gratitude and self-advocacy are not mutually exclusive. In fact, when approached mindfully, they can be powerful complementary forces driving both personal satisfaction and professional success. By cultivating empowered gratitude, you can build the confidence and growth mindset needed to advocate for yourself and your organization effectively.

Forgiveness 490 Times

Is It True That We Have To Forgive Each Person 490 Times?

By: Anthony Joseph Hopkins Praise The Lord Everyone!! Praise The Lord!! How are all of you doing today? Fine, I hope. I have a very important question to ask all of you. Is it true that we have to forgive each person 490 times? The answer to this question is yes. We have to forgive everyone for what each person have done to you.

I used to have a problem with forgiveness a long time ago. This is because I used to get abused and neglected as a child as well as an adult. I want to let everyone know that it is not very easy apologizing and accepting apologies from other people. I feel good right now because I have learned how to forgive others while attending church as a child. At first, I used to get upset when others have hurt me. I used to run away from God. It is very serious when it comes to forgiveness. This means that I have to forgive each person living on this earth 490 times. I literally understand right now what it takes to accept other people. I meditated on this topic before I decided to type it. Next, I am very happy that I am the person that I am right now because I have learned a brand new behavior. It is called forgiving other people. The first thing that I had to do is ask God for forgiveness in all of my sins. I have to ask God to accept me as I am as a human being. God really loves me. He literally loves all of us. Further, I had to confess with my mouth to the Lord Jesus and believe it inside of my heart. I really believe that God had raised Jesus Christ from the dead: You will be saved. I am just happy that I have learned a new behavior, and it makes the Lord very happy that I am forgiving others, and accepting each other in love.

I have to realize that I really have to be very careful when it comes to dealing with my own emotions. I have come to the realization that I am a brand new creation in Christ Jesus. He will never leave you, nor forsake you. I am very happy that I have Jesus Christ as my Personal Savior. The very thing that I am doing is imitating the behavior of Jesus Christ. I know that it is not going to be an easy journey: However, God is with me! I also have to give other people credit for molding and shaping my overall behavior. God works through people. There have been people that were involved in my life; just to see me do something positive in my life. Moreover, I want to inform all of you that I know that I have to give an account of myself to God. The reason why I said 490 times is simply because 70X7=490. I have been doing the math. It is that God is watching all of us from heaven. I will admit that I had to take Anger Management classes for a total of 8 years. I had to learn how to get my emotions in check. I understand that God is doing for us more than we are doing for ourselves. This is a fact of life that God is doing for all of us. In Addition, I really love all of you very much. Do you know that God gives us instructions even while we are sleeping inside of our bed at night? God speaks to us in many, many ways. I am so excited to share this information because I want others to change for the better. I am not a self-righteous person. I am a person who accepts everyone as Children of God. Is it true that we have to forgive other people 490 times? The answer is a definite yes.

I want to inform everyone that we all have the Holy Spirit inside of us. I want to say that 1st Corinthians 3:16 says: Do you not know that you are the Temple of The Living God, and the Holy Spirit dwells inside of us? This is the truth. I am so thrilled to help others like I was helped before by other people. I am so happy that I am blessed each day when I get up, and each day when I lay down on top of my bed.

Also, I want to say that God is with me every single day of the week. I just want everyone to please keep me in your prayers because I want to live according to the Word of God. What is the definition of the word forgive? The answer to this question is stop feeling angry or resentful toward (someone) for an offense, flaw, or mistake. “I don’t think I’ll ever forgive David for the way he treated her” stop feeling angry or resentful toward someone for (an offense, flaw, or mistake).”He was not a man who found it easy to forgive and forget” cancel (a debt).”He proposed that their debts should be forgiven”. What is the biblical meaning of forgiveness?

The Bible has plenty to say about forgiveness. … The Greek word translated as “forgive” in the New Testament, aphiēmi, carried a wide range of meanings, including to remit (a debt), to leave (something or someone) alone, to allow (an action), to leave, to send away, to desert or abandon, and even to divorce. I had to let go of self and live for Jesus Christ. Finally, I had to learn to allow God to help me to let go of the things from my past. I am just happy and ready to serve Jesus Christ. Forgiveness when it comes to the 490 times thing is endless. All that I am really saying that we have to forgive others on a regular basis. This is a life- long process. It takes a lot of progress and effort on our part when it comes to making a difference in the lives of others. I am a very nice person, who have come a very long way in my personal life. I had to forgive people for taking advantage of me. In some cases, I put myself in that situation for others to oppress me. I have to examine my role in all of my doings. In Conclusion, please remember to always think before your act. I have to consider all of my ways by thinking before I decide to do anything. It only takes a thought that would cause all of us to react in a positive or negative manner. Is it true that we have to forgive each person 490 times? Absolutely!! This is a life-long process that lasts forever. We are being watched by God and His Son Jesus Christ on a daily basis. Thank you for reading my essay.

Making Amends

What does it mean to make amends with God and others?

Hello Everyone!! I hope that everyone is having a good day today.  I would like to start this off by asking a very important question.  What does it mean to make amends with God and others?  An amends is when someone apologizes for a wrongdoing and change the behavior afterwards.  For instance, when a person commits a wrongdoing, a person is supposed to confer with God first and foremost.  Afterwards, repent for your sins and forgive yourself in the process.  Afterwards, you are supposed to apologize with anyone that you have done wrong to.  Saying I am sorry is really not enough.  You have to change your behavior for the better.

An example of this is when I told my family members about my brother’s problems, without asking him first.  Some would say that I am a backbiter or a two faced person.  I did not have any business telling my brother’s problems to others.  This is because my brother is getting ready to have a total of 4 children.  I have told him that selling drugs will not pay the bills.  He will have to get a job and keep it for the rest of his life.

To be honest, I do not have any children because I know that I can barely take care of myself.  Therefore, I would prefer not to have sex with any woman, until we get married.  I would prefer to have a friendship with everyone, man or woman.  This is what I am supposed to do for the rest of my life.  An amends is when you are supposed to admit to your mistake, ask for forgiveness, rectify the wrong, and eventually change the behavior.  It takes a very long time to modify a specific behavior, and change it for the better.  I know that in my case, my family members are not the forgiving type of people.

I have to ask God to intervene in this matter.  There are a few of my friends, who would rather not have anything to do with you.  When that happens, that is it and it is final with some people.  Some people do not know how to make amends with anyone, or with God the Father.  I also want to inform everyone that I have a brother right now that I really have not spoken to in 24 years.  It hurts me because he does not want anything to do with me.  It is his fault for calling me a female dog at my Great Grandmother’s funeral on August 19, 1994.

It hurts me because I have to be the better person by apologizing to my brother for fighting him.  He did not understand that my Great Grandmother raised me, while my mother was being treated for Post-Partum Depression.  It also hurt me when my own father died.  I was not notified about him or his death.  I asked my Aunt, where was I during the time my father died?

I am hurt and devastated because I have not had a chance to resolve any of my active issues with anyone.  Currently, I am puzzled because I have not had a chance to resolve any of my active issues with everyone in my personal life.  I have a cousin who fought me for 9 years.  I am not at the liberty of mentioning his name because of confidentiality issues.  We fought each other as children and teenagers over petty issues.  My biological father is his father’s cousin.  My best friend is really my cousin because our fathers were brothers.  My family members do not really know it.  My own biological father was a light skin man.  I thought my father was fair skinned just like me.  It is going to take God to help me to resolve all of my active issues with each other.  For the moment, my brothers and sisters are not speaking to each other right now.  Please pray for me and my family members because we are not speaking to each other anymore.  Thank you for reading my blog.
