What Does Colossians 3:6 Mean?

Verse of the Day ▼ Devotions ▼ Search Home Verse Of The Day Colossians 3:6 ◄ What Does Colossians 3:6 Mean? ► For it is because of these things that the wrath of God will come upon the sons of disobedience, Colossians 3:6(NASB) Verse Thoughts Because we are children of God we are to look to Jesus, Who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. He rose from the dead and broke the power of sin and death in the lives of all who place their trust in Him. Today, Jesus is seated on the right hand of the Father in heavenly places, and the dear desire our hearts should be set on heavenly things, and not on issues that are intertwined with this broken world system, which lies is in the arms of the evil one. By faith, we are positioned in Christ and have received His life. Jesus is our blessed hope, Who is coming back soon to take us to be with Himself in glory. And when He is revealed, we will be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. We rejoice that our names are written in the Book of Life, but before we were saved by faith in Christ, we were all sons of disobedience and slaves of sin, who remained under the wrath of God and were headed for a lost eternity. But now, by grace through faith, we are sons of God who have been freed from the penalty and power of sin and death. Just as it can be said that every member of the human race were physically IN the bowels of Adam when he was created, so we can say with equal certainty, that every born-again child of God were spiritually ‘IN the bowels’ of Christ, when He was crucified and rose again. This means that our fallen sin nature was nailed to the Cross with Jesus, as He hung on that wooden tree, 2000 years ago, and paid the enormous price for our sin. It means that His resurrected Life became our new eternal, resurrected life, and we became part of a new and perfect creation IN Him – simply by God’s grace, through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of His only begotten Son, for the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting. Our sins were washed away by His precious blood. The filthy rags of our fallen humanity were exchanged for His spotless robe of righteousness. All who have trusted in Christ for the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting are one with Him, identified with Him, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, for we are part of His Body – not only in this world but also in the ages to come. No wonder Paul insists that we must consider the members of our earthly body to be dead to the things of this world. No surprise that he reminds us that we were crucified with Christ, so that this fallen body of sin might be destroyed – and that we should not be enslaved to the practice of sin any longer. No wonder Paul rejoiced to say, “I have been crucified with Christ and the life I now live, I live by faith in the Son of God Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” By faith, we died to sin with the Lord Jesus, when He offered Himself up as the ransom-price for our sin. Although our old, sin nature will continue to lust against our new life in Christ during our sojourn on earth… nevertheless, we must reckon our OLD self dead to the desires of this world and our NEW life alive to God. We are to flee from all that is evil – immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed – all of which amounts to idolatry. Before we were saved, we were slaves of sin and sons of disobedience. We were at enmity with God, slaves of Satan, and under God’s terrible condemnation. Before we were justified in the eyes of the Lord, by faith alone in Christ alone, we were also participants in the sinful lusts of the flesh and the haughty pride of life. And because of these very things, the wrath of God will descend on all the sons of disobedience. Everyone who has not been born of the Spirit remains under the wrath of God. Every person who has not accepted God’s offer of salvation by grace through faith in Christ, will come under His eternal wrath. We must never, ever forget that there was a time when we were also sons of disobedience, who were estranged from God and under His righteous condemnation. We must never forget the incredible price Jesus paid for our redemption. Because of our salvation, we are no longer under God’s wrath but under His grace and protection. However, the wrath of God remains on ALL who have refused His gracious offer of salvation.. and they are called the sons of disobedience. But by faith, we are children of the light and are to walk in the way of righteousness, for His greater glory. My Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You that I am no longer under Your wrath, but by faith have become Your child, and a member of Christ’s body. Thank You that He died for my sin and rose again, breaking the power of sin and death in my life, and clothing me in His own righteousness. I pray that I may not be enticed by the things of this world that entrap the sons of disobedience, and pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict many lost souls today of their need of salvation, by faith in Christ. This I ask in His precious name, AMEN. ◄ Previous: Colossians 3:5 Next: Colossians 3:8 ► Choose a Verse from Colossians 3 12345678910111213141516171819202122232425 1 Timothy 3:15 1 Samuel 13:14 1 Thessalonians 2:3 James 2:3 Follow us Colossians 3:6 Further Study Colossians 3:6 in the Parallel Bible Colossians 3:6 in the Thematic Bible Colossians 3:6 Cross References Colossians 3:6 Treasury of Scripture Knowing Colossians 3:6 Sermons Colossians 3:6 Prayers Colossians 3:6 Images Choose Chapter Subscribe to the Verse of the day Today’s Devotionals Faithful Stewardship Psalm 89:16 Matthew 6:13 Subdued Servant Greater Works The Incomparable Christ The Mystery of Godliness Doctrinal Statement / Privacy Policy / Use of Pictures / Donate / Contact Us © Copyright [2011 – 2020] Knowing-Jesus.com – All Rights Reserved

1st Kings 2;2 And What it Means to All People.

1st Kings 2.2: And What It Means to All People by Anthony Joseph Hopkins October 16, 2020

1st Kings 2:2 Says I go the way of all the earth; be strong, therefore and prove yourself a man.  David was conversing with his son Solomon, who would eventually become King of Israel, immediately after his father’s death.  David told his son that he goes the way of all the earth.

This means that he (David) is getting ready to die, and be with God.  Therefore, David stated to his son Solomon in confidence to be strong, and prove yourself a man.  What this Bible verse mean is to grow up and assume the responsibilities as a King.  The word maturity is a factor because it is a physical, mental, emotional, and psychological advancement in a position in life.

Anyway, what does it mean to become a man?  A man is a person who assumes a position or level in life.  A man is a person, who is older in age.  A man is a person whose mind is prepared for advancement.  A man, literally understands his responsibilities for a person in his age bracket. 1st Corinthians 13:11 says; when I was a child, I spoke as a child.  I thought as a child, but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

When it comes to the meaning of 1st Corinthians 13:11; it has a whole lot to do with maturity.  Just like Paul says: when I was a child, I thought as a child.  I thought as a child, I reason like a child.  But when I became a man, I put away childish things.  Pau explained that when we became men, we put childish things away.  A real man knows how to behave like a man.  This means that a man’s actions make him become a mature adult, or a person, who does not know how to become a man to begin with.  A mature man knows how to speak, act, think, and behave like a man.

In the 21st Century, meaning the present, men are the leaders inside of their homes.  Men are fathers, brothers, uncles, and mentors inside of their communities.  Men are also leaders inside of their respective churches.  A man has to be taught as children how to become leaders that exist inside of their communities.  A real man has respect for women and children.  This is the reason why it takes a village to raise one child.  A man knows how to have respect for God.  A man was created first then woman.

What does 1st Kings 2:2 really mean?  It means that a complete behavioral change has occurred inside of both mean and women.  Genesis 1:27 says; so, God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female; He created them.  Everyone must learn how to find their own process.  When it comes to 1st Kings 2:2, a man, who assumes a very serious position has to have the maturity level, and the mindset to handle the position such as King.  A man has to be trained by its successor to become a King of Israel like Solomon did.

What Does John 5:29 Mean?

Verse of the Day ▼ Devotions ▼ Search Home Verse Of The Day John 5:29 ◄ What Does John 5:29 Mean? ► and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment. John 5:29(NASB) Verse Thoughts It was in the second year of His ministry that the Lord Jesus healed a man at the pool of Bethesda, which means House of Mercy. It was on a Sabbath day when this miracle took place, causing the chief priests and scribes to have an even greater hatred for the Lord Jesus. When the Jews found out that it was the Lord Jesus Who had healed the man, they started to persecute Him, because He had healed a man on the Sabbath day. He broke THEIR Sabbath day rules, while fulfilling the will of His Father. An amazingly blunt dialogue started between them, where Christ’s declaration of equality with the Father, incensed these legalists even further. Jesus justifiably laid claims to being God – asserting that He has the authority and power to forgive sins, raise the dead, and give life to whomsoever He wills. Jesus let them know that the Father had committed the judgement of humanity into His hands. Indeed, God has appointed a day in which to judge the inhabitants of earth, in righteousness… and humanity will be judged by the Man Whom God appointed – i.e. Jesus Christ the Righteous. And the undeniable proof that He is the appointed One, would be His resurrection from the dead. God has set a day when the only perfect Man to live a sinless life, will pass judgement on the entire race of humanity. But first He had to come to earth as a Man, to become our kinsman-Redeemer, by being born into the human race, living a perfect human life, and dying a sacrificial, human death. Jesus told them very emphatically, that an hour was coming, when the dead would hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear would live. For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also, to have life in Himself. God the Father gave the Son of Man authority to execute judgment, because He was God the Son, Who was born into the human race to became man’s kinsman Redeemer – the sacrifice for man’s sin. “Do not marvel at this,” He informed them, “the time is coming, when all who are in their tombs will hear My voice, and will be resurrected.” And then Christ uttered this sober yet glorious truth – “those who have done good deeds will be part of a resurrection of life, while those who have committed evil deeds will come forth to a resurrection of judgment and damnation.” There is going to be a future, physical resurrection of every man and woman who ever lived. Those who did the good deeds  (i.e. believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour) to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds (i.e. did NOT believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation) to a resurrection of judgment. Faith comes by hearing and those who HEAR the truth of the gospel of God, believe in their heart and trust in Christ, will rise into newness of His resurrected life. However, those who reject His offer of salvation will be resurrected to face an eternity of condemnation. This verse is sometimes taken out of context to teach that doing good deeds will get a person into heaven, while those that commit evil deeds will be condemned to hell. This is a misinterpretation of this verse. No one is justified by doing good works. The good work to which Jesus is referring, is to believe in Him. The good work that is being referred to in this verse is believing – “THIS is the work of God that you believe on Him Whom He has sent.” An unsaved man CANNOT perform any works that are good in the sight of God, other than to BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ. Only those that have been saved, by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ can carry out good deeds, for only justified men are given the nature of Christ… “for the good work of God is to know HIM and Jesus Christ Whom He has sent.” Similarly, those who have done evil deeds is referring to those that have never put their faith in God, by trusting Christ for salvation. The unsaved man does not have the Spirit of Christ and every deed, whether good or ill, is performed in the flesh and is regarded by God as filthy rags. We read a few chapters earlier – “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Those who believe in Jesus, are saved. They are justified and will be raised into the resurrection of life, but those who do not believe are unsaved.. and they are already condemned to the resurrection of damnation (the second death) – because they have not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. There are many who have rejected Your Word and turned away from the truth, causing them to remain under Your condemnation. I pray that while there is still time, many would hear the gospel of grace and put their trust in Jesus, and join us who have believed, in the first resurrection to life. How Do You Trust and Obey The Lord Jesus Christ?

How Do You Trust and Obey the Lord Jesus Christ?

By: Anthony Joseph Hopkins

Praise The Lord Saints!!  Praise The Lord!!  How are you doing today?  Fine, I hope.  I have a very important question to ask all of you.  How do you trust and obey the Lord Jesus Christ.  First, I would like to inform all of you that this starts in the home.  This means that our parents are supposed to teach us how to conduct ourselves with God, Jesus Christ, other people, and ourselves.

I want to inform all of you that inside of my household growing up, I really did not have anyone to teach me how to walk a decent life.  I relied on my grandparents, mother, aunts, and uncles to show me how to become a real man.  I remember attending church with my great grandmother when I was young.  She attended Bethel Church of God in Christ in Dayton, Ohio.  My Great-Grandmother told me to always trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding.  This is in Proverbs 3:5.  It is a privilege and honor to trust in the Lord.  We all have problems, but we have God in our lives.

Next, I really remember listening to Jimmy Swaggart and Oral Roberts during the time that I was a child.  Like they say in Proverbs 22:6: Train up a child in the way he should go, when he get old, he will not depart from it.  I know that at that time, I was trying to establish an identity for myself by dealing with my friends during the 1970s.  I always attended church on a daily basis with my grandmother.  She obviously took me to church just to keep me from getting into trouble.  I really understand right now about trusting in the Lord.

Further, I want to inform all of you that some of my family members have unfriended me on Facebook because I was sharing the Gospel of Peace with them each day of the week.  However, they do not want to hear it.  As long as I can share my experience, strength, and hope with at least one person, I have done my job.

The greatest thing that I can appreciate is having an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.  I want to inform all of you that God has given me a foundation that I need to join Him in Paradise.  God want us to be happy when things do not go our way.  I really like this Bible verse in Jeremiah 29:11.

Moreover, the Lord Jesus Christ wants all of us to prosper in our lives.  I know that inside of my family, everyone is living inside of the world.  Even though; some of my family members are successful right now.

It is that they have not given God any of their personal time.  I do not have a job right now, so therefore, I am supposed to give God plenty of time to work inside of my life.  How do you trust and obey Jesus Christ?  In my case, I have to demonstrate, and imitate Jesus Christ by doing the things that He has done.  I realize that I cannot tell anyone what to do.  I can only give advice and suggestions to others.  I have also another job.  I am supposed to share the Gospel of Peace with everyone.

In Addition, I want to say that I want to be happy in my life.  I know that I am supposed to share with everyone the Word of God.

We have the Holy Spirit inside of us.  1st Corinthians 3:16 says: Do ye not know that your body is the temple of God and the Holy Spirit dwells inside of you.  This is the truth.  As soon as we confess our sins to God, and become born again by getting baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.  I have been baptized a total of 9 times in different churches.  Currently, I attend Fort McKinley United Methodist Church in Dayton, Ohio.

Finally, I want to say that we are supposed to have a merciful attitude.  I know that for me personally, my personality has changed for the better.  I do not use any vulgarity anymore.  I have a desire to exercise and participate in the Great Commission.

I am supposed to save lost souls on a daily basis.  With God’s help, I know that I can maintain an excellent attitude for the rest of my entire life.  I am very happier right now by sharing God’s Message with everyone.  I know that I am supposed to imitate Jesus Christ’s behavior.  I know that I have to discipline yourself in everything you do in your personal life.  The definition of the word discipline is a branch of knowledge of teaching and training.  God has given all of us self-control.  I want to inform all of you that I have a well-balanced mind.

In Conclusion, I am going to share God’s Word with everyone.  I am going to always through God’s help, become an imitator of Jesus Christ.  I know that having self- control is very important.  I have to become an example for the world by serving the Lord.  We say a lot more with our actions than our words.  How do we learn how to trust and obey Jesus Christ?  You can do this by making yourself available to Him.  Giving some of your time with God, helps you to learn how to trust and obey Him.  I know that there are a lot of things that we are going to be tempted to do, but if the Lord’s will, we can get out of it by maintaining our faith in Him.  I am able to stay positive; in spite of all of our personal problems.  I love all of you very much.  Please keep me in your prayers because I have a lot of health problems.  We must make an appointment with Jesus Christ!!

What Is The Importance of Salvation in All of Us?

What is The Importance of Salvation in All of Us?

By: Anthony Joseph Hopkins

Praise The Lord Saints!! Praise The Lord!! How are all of you doing today?  Fine, I hope.  I have a very important question to ask all of you.  What is the importance of salvation in all of us?  I would like to start things off by asking everyone the definition of the word salvation.  The word salvation means preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss:   “they try to sell it to us as economic salvation” deliverance from sin and its consequences, believed by Christians to be brought about by faith in Christ.

The Biblical Definition is as follows: Salvation in Christianity, also called deliverance, or redemption, is the “saving [of] human beings from death and separation from God” by Christ’s death and resurrection, and the justification following this salvation.

Next, I want to inform all of you that I am very happy to have God in my life.  Salvation is very important to all of us.  I believe in what God says to me.  I want to say that I am made right through Jesus Christ, who is my Personal Savior.

Further, I want to inform all of you that God loves you.  He dwells inside of you.  I know for me personally, I have come a very long way in my Christian Walk.  I am very happy to have Jesus Christ in my personal life because it is very important for me as a Christian to have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.  What does “salvation” really mean? If you don’t know that answer, you won’t be able to experience the fullness of your salvation. So let’s clarify the truth of salvation.

A good place to begin is by learning the meaning of the word. Most believers think the word salvation simply means “to be saved from eternal damnation.” But it means much more than that. Let’s look at three things the word salvation refers to:

1. Salvation Includes Deliverance from Evil—both Temporal and Eternal

Salvation refers to spiritual and material preservation, deliverance from the fear of danger as well as pardon, restoration, healing, wholeness and soundness in spirit, soul and body. It’s true that when you make Jesus your Lord you are saved from the penalty of sin (Romans 5:9). You’ve been delivered from hell and you’re headed for heaven!

2. Salvation Includes a Life of Freedom

Salvation provides deliverance from the dominion of sin in this life (Romans 6:14). Thank God, you don’t have to sin anymore! You have been born of God and you have the power to live a holy life—a life of freedom.

3. Salvation Protects You from Earthly Dangers

Psalm 91 tells you that you will be delivered from pestilence, which includes serious sickness and disease, famine, earthquakes and other calamities. It says you’ll be protected from sudden death that comes by the weapons of men. It promises you a long, satisfying life and deliverance from every kind of trouble that comes your way.

All these are wonderful promises, but they aren’t automatic. These promises operate under specific conditions, and Psalm 91:1-2 tells you what those conditions are: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!”

If you want to experience the fullness of this great salvation Jesus purchased for you, exert consistent effort. Don’t give up, and don’t give in. Stand up for everything salvation has afforded you. Focus on the Lord and His Word. Stay in constant communication with Him through prayer. Experience all that is available to you through Jesus Christ!

Finally, please keep me in your prayers because I have to learn how to be as I am through Jesus Christ.  I want to inform all of you that I really love all of you because all of us are Children of the Most High God.  I am very happy because God is working inside of me.  He loves all of us that He died for all of us.  I am going to imitate God!!  We should imitate God!!

What Does 1st Corinthians 16:22 Mean?

Verse of the Day ▼ Devotions ▼ Search Home Verse Of The Day 1 Corinthians 16:22 ◄ What Does 1 Corinthians 16:22 Mean? ► If anyone does not love the Lord, he is to be accursed Maranatha. 1 Corinthians 16:22(NASB) Verse Thoughts Paul concluded his epistle to the Corinthians by exhorting them to engage in appropriate Christian conduct. He called on them to be alert, to stand firm in the faith, to act like men, and be strong. He encouraged each of them to be on their guard, to stand fast in the faith, and to let everything be done in love. Paul had exposed many problems in the conduct of these Corinthian believers, earlier in his letter. He addressed many doctrinal issues that were inhibiting their spiritual development and gave some stern warnings to these carnally-minded Christians. Paul appealed for them to abandon their worldly ways, cease from any internal disputes, reject the aberrant doctrines of false teachers, and live in a bond of peace and brotherly love. In his closing comments, Paul speaks a word of encouragement, while exhorting them toward sound doctrine, maturing in the faith and developing Christ-like love, and made a solemn pronouncement, “If anyone does not love the Lord, he is to be anathema. If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus, let him be accursed,” were Paul’s stern words to these believers, while he concluded his epistle with the wonderful entreaty, “Maranatha – Come Lord Jesus!!” False teachers had been responsible for many worldly attitudes, and certain unorthodox doctrines had infiltrated the church at Corinth. Quite possibly, some of the recipients of Paul’s corrective letter were still promoting a false creed while others remained subject to their influence. So dangerous, abhorrent, odious, and repugnant were these false dogmas to Paul, that he pronounced an anathema on those that led others astray. ‘Anathema’, is a Greek word that translates into ‘accursed’, ‘condemned’, ‘damned’, and ‘bound under a great curse.’ The terrible consequences of false teaching and demonic doctrines, percolating into the body of Christ, cannot be over-emphasised, which is why Paul made this shocking invocation on all who do not love the Lord with all their heart and soul and mind and strength. Love of God can never translate into deceiving His children with false teachings, aberrant creeds, and demonic doctrines, and so Paul proclaimed a curse on all who peddle such ideas. It was JC Ryle who said: ‘Paul allows no way of escape to the man who does not love Christ. He leaves no loophole or excuse. A man may lack a clear head-knowledge and yet be saved. He may fail in courage, and be overcome by the fear of man, like Peter. He may fall tremendously, like David, and yet rise again. But if a person does not love Christ, he is not in the way of life. The curse is yet upon him. He is on the broad road that leadeth to destruction.’ Ryle continued: ‘The judgement on false teachers and those that do not love the Lord is tremendously severe, which is why Paul used the word ‘anathema’, to label such a person. But each member of the body of Christ has the responsibility to know the truth, contained in the word of God, so that they will not be tossed about by every wind of doctrine nor seek after teachers that spew out an egocentric Christianity, rather than the Christ-focused truth.’ There are many who make a commitment or claim the label of ‘Christian’ without a deep love for the Lord, but Paul makes it very clear that a genuine love of Jesus should shine from a heart of loves and should be mirrored in the words we say and the things we do. Our love for the Lord Jesus should reflect the deep love that Christ had for His heavenly Father. In His farewell discourse to His disciples, Jesus reiterates the importance of Christian love. “A new commandment I give unto you that you love one another with the depth of divine love that I have for you.” And in response to a question from one of His disciples, He explained that the one that loved HIM with divine love, is the one that will keep His Word. The one who truly loves the Lord will delight to do His will and strive to maintain unbroken fellowship with Him through prayer and praise, Bible reading, and holy living. Love is not steady-state that can be attained, once for all. The love about which Paul speaks is an ever-growing intimacy with Jesus, that expands and develops through time and into the eternal ages to come. Let us examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith and secure in the truth of the Word of God, and let us study to show ourselves approved unto Him… and to love the Lord with all our heart and soul and mind and strength. My Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and this instructive letter to the Corinthian church. I pray that I may know You more each day and grow in grace and in a knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord. Give me discernment I pray, so that I may not be tossed about by false teachings and I pray that the love of Christ may fill my heart and become a conduit, through which Christ’s love spills out to those I meet. This I pray in Jesus’ name, AMEN. ◄ Previous: 1 Corinthians 16:14 Next: 2-Corinthians 1:2 ► Choose a Verse from 1 Corinthians 16 123456789101112131415161718192021222324 1 Corinthians 2:5 Luke 6:28 Romans 5:19 Hebrews 10:16 Follow us 1 Corinthians 16:22 Further Study 1 Corinthians 16:22 in the Parallel Bible 1 Corinthians 16:22 in the Thematic Bible 1 Corinthians 16:22 Cross References 1 Corinthians 16:22 Treasury of Scripture Knowing 1 Corinthians 16:22 Sermons 1 Corinthians 16:22 Prayers 1 Corinthians 16:22 Images Choose Chapter Subscribe to the Verse of the day Today’s Devotionals The Ministry of Devotion Matthew 6:10 Daniel 10:12 Mercifully Mastered Individual Discouragement and Personal Enlargement Given and Born The Faithful and Wise Servant Doctrinal Statement / Privacy Policy / Use of Pictures / Donate / Contact Us © Copyright [2011 – 2020] Knowing-Jesus.com – All Rights Reserved

What Does Matthew 26:41 Mean?

Verse of the Day ▼ Devotions ▼ Search Home Verse Of The Day Matthew 26:41 ◄ What Does Matthew 26:41 Mean? ► “Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41(NASB) Verse Thoughts The accelerating events leading up to Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross, are witnessed in these final chapters of Matthew’s gospel as multiple prophecies of His passion spill onto the pages of holy writ. Mary of Bethany had anointed Jesus with precious perfume from her alabaster box, in readiness for His fast approaching crucifixion. Judas had left to betray his Master, and Jesus had instituted the Lord Supper, following that final Passover meal with the disciples He loved. Jesus had graciously washed His disciples’ feet, told Peter of the imminent denial of his Master, and had entered into agony of spirit, as He wept and prayed, three times, in the garden of Gethsemane. His confused disciples, however, slept away this pivotal point in the history of mankind – while angels ministered to Jesus, the Lord of heaven and God of the universe – in His travail. The Lord Jesus would have received much comfort of spirit and inner consolation, had His disciples shown some sympathy in the spiritual battle that Christ had entered. Jesus had been born for this hour and His whole life and ministry was focused on this even. Finally, the climatic point in time and eternity was reached… when the Lamb of God, Who was slain from the foundation of the world, would take upon Himself the sin of the world. Jesus knew that His life must be lived in total dependence on His heavenly Father’s instructions, for although He was fully God, He willingly set aside His heavenly glory to live his earthly life as a full member of humanity – for only a sinless man, who lived in perfect obedience to God would qualify to become the Saviour of fallen humanity and redeem everything that the first Adam lost. Although Jesus was true deity and the second Person of the Trinity, He was a true man, who was tempted to sin just as we are tempted – yet He did not sin. He resisted temptation, learned obedience by the things He suffered, and lived a perfect life by depending on His Father, listening to the guidance of the indwelling Holy Spirit, standing on every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God, and praying without ceasing… in thanksgiving and praise. Jesus knew that the only way that He could successfully function in His body of flesh – and overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil, was in humble submission to His heavenly Father through the power of the indwelling Spirit. What an amazing example He set to us all. No surprise that Christ admonished His sleepy and bemused followers to WATCH and PRAY. “keep watching and keep praying,”  He urged them, “that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Jesus knew that sin had corrupted the nature of man and that the only way to live a victorious life, in a fallen world, was to watch and pray continuously – in utter dependence on the Father through the power of the indwelling Spirit. The desires of the flesh, the seductive lure that penetrates the eye-gate and the ear-gate, and the inner prideful nature of fallen man is incapable of resisting evil, even when man’s inner spirit and his God-given conscience screams the reverse. There is no respite from the attacks of the enemy, for any child of God, and Christ’s urgent warning to His disciples to watch, and keep on watching… to pray and keep on praying, is as equally vital in today’s evil age, as it was when His disciples succumbed to the flesh, on that momentous occasion. Keep watching and keep praying, is the guiding principle for every child of God, every moment of the day and throughout our time on earth. “Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation.” It is only as we submit to God in humble submission and watchful prayer that we can resist the evil one. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak – but those that utterly depend on God, abide in Christ and pray in unity with the Holy Spirit are given the strength to overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil – for Christ not only paid the price for our sin but broke the POWER of sin in the lives of all who believe, in this Christian dispensation. May we all stand firm on the gospel of grace and the Word of truth, in full assurance that HIS grace is sufficient, for His power is perfected in our weakness. My Prayer Heavenly Father, as I consider the passion of Christ and the enormous pressures and pain He underwent on my account, I can only praise and thank You for Your immeasurable gift and His incalculable grace. I understand that my own, fallen, fleshly resolve is weak, and that a powerful enemy is seeking to shipwreck my faith. But thanks be to God that in Christ, I have all I need to stand firm, as I watch and pray. Help me to rejoice evermore, pray without ceasing, and in everything, to give thanks and praise for Your goodness and grace. Help me, Father, to watch and pray in spirit and truth, and to abide in Christ day by day, to Your praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus’ name, AMEN. ◄ Previous: Matthew 26:40 Next: Matthew 26:59 ► Choose a Verse from Matthew 26 123456789101112131415161718192021222324252627282930313233343536373839404142434445464748495051525354555657585960616263646566676869707172737475 Galatians 6:6 1 Corinthians 15:50 Galatians 1:17 1 Peter 5:1 Follow us Matthew 26:41 Further Study Matthew 26:41 in the Parallel Bible Matthew 26:41 in the Thematic Bible Matthew 26:41 Cross References Matthew 26:41 Treasury of Scripture Knowing Matthew 26:41 Sermons Matthew 26:41 Prayers Matthew 26:41 Images Matthew 26:41 Devotionals Choose Chapter Subscribe to the Verse of the day Today’s Devotionals The Responsible Testimony of Ministry 2 Corinthians 5:19 Matthew 6:10 Love Trials Getting Into God’s Stride Child of Promise Where Is Your Treasure?

What Gender is the Holy Spirit?

What Gender is The Holy Spirit?
By: Anthony Joseph Hopkins
📷
Praise The Lord Saints!! Praise The Lord!! How are you doing today? Fine, I hope. I have a very important question to ask everyone!! What gender is the Holy Spirit?
I am asking this question because I have been hearing women’s voices for the past 10 years now. I know that this is not a very easy subject to talk about. It is that I am very concerned about my personal salvation. I have been baptized on February 15, 2015. The only voices that I have been hearing are female voices. I thought that the Holy Spirit is a man. I really do not know because the voices that I have been hearing are women. These women are always giving me direction and suggestions.
📷
Next, I want to inform all of you that I have been hearing voices since November 5, 2009. I remember on that day because it was on a Thursday evening when I started hearing voices. At first, I was not aware of what was going on, but I prayed about it. I asked God whether or not these voices are real. I want to tell everyone the truth that I have never heard God’s voice in my entire life. Some might laugh at me when I say that I have never heard God’s voice. This is not a laughing matter.
📷
Further, I want to inform all of you that these voices that I have been hearing used to laugh at me all of the time. The only reason why I am bringing this up because I am making everyone aware of a major problem.
I want to literally find out whether the Holy Spirit is a man or a woman. I know that the Bible verses that I have been reading regarding the Holy Spirit do not tell us whether it is a man or a woman that is talking to us. I want to know because I do not want to be deceived by Satan and his demonic spirits.
📷
Further, I want to say that I feel sad and depressed because I am hearing women’s voices all of the time. I only want to ask everyone this question because I want some transparency.
📷
Moreover, I want to inform all of you that I have been curious to know what gender is the Holy Spirit. I just need some clarification on this matter. I will admit that I do believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father. I do believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I also believe that Jesus Christ died for the sins of everyone. I believe that; the Holy Spirit is real. I only want to ask this question because I have been hearing women’s voices for 10 years now. What gender is the Holy Spirit? I really would like to know. I understand that I am saved from all of my sins. I am trying to think saved. I want to inform everyone that I only want my question answered.
📷
Finally, I would like for someone to please answer my question. I am saved!! I believe in God!! I believe in all of the things that pertains to the Holy Spirit. It is that I have been female voices for the past decade. I understand that I have had a stroke on November 8, 2008. It is that; the doctor told me that I will be suffering from auditory hallucinations due to the stroke itself. I only want someone to please help me to determine what gender is the Holy Spirit. I really need help answering this question. Thank You for your cooperation.
📷
In Conclusion, I want to ask this question because I have been dealing with women’s voices for a decade right now. I always thought that; the Holy Spirit was a male voice? I have not heard God’s voice. The Holy Spirit is awesome and powerful. Even though I have not heard God’s voice, but I hear God’s voice while reading the Bible. I also hear God’s voice through other people.

What Does Leviticus 19:2 Mean?

Verse of the Day ▼ Devotions ▼ Search Home Verse Of The Day Leviticus 19:2 ◄ What Does Leviticus 19:2 Mean? ► “Speak to all the congregation of the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy. Leviticus 19:2(NASB) Verse Thoughts Though it is often ridiculed by those that have not read it, or misunderstood by those who do not have spiritual discernment, Leviticus is a book that concentrates on holiness – the holiness of God and the need for the nation of Israel to be holy. “You shall be holy,”  God informed His chosen nation through Moses. “You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.” From start to finish, Leviticus is a book that points to Christ. He is pictured in the perfect Law of Moses in many ways, and He can be identified in the various sacrificial offerings. The person and work of Christ can also be seen in the holy articles of the Tabernacle, the function of the priesthood, and the feasts of the Lord. The book of Leviticus points to Christ in many ways – for His atoning blood alone takes away the sin of the world. Jesus is the Second Person of the Trinity, Who was fully and finally revealed to the world through the birth, life, death, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the eternal Son of God, Who tabernacled among us, for a season. He is the perfect Word of God made flesh, through Whom the world was made and in Whom is life eternal. He is the eternal Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world. And He is the sinless Son of Man, Who set aside His heavenly glory to become like one of us. Jesus is the Second Person of the immortal, invisible, almighty, HOLY God. He is the only Member of the Trinity Who was clothed in human flesh, so that sinful men and women might be saved by grace – through faith in His sacrificial work at Calvary. Throughout the Old Testament, God gradually revealed His character, His attributes, His name, and His redemptive plan for mankind, through the writings of holy men of God and many prophetic voices. But in these last days, God has spoken to us in His Son, Whom He appointed Heir of all things, and through Whom also He made the world. However, hidden within the pages of the Old Testament, are many concealed references to Christ Jesus. For those with eyes to see and a teachable spirit, we discover many ‘types’ and pictures of His person, His mission, His atoning work, and His supernatural life. Numerous prophecies give details of His coming to earth as a babe in Bethlehem, His ministry on earth, His sacrificial death, His glorious Resurrection, and His victory over Satan. And Scripture records His coming millennial rule as King of kings and Lord of lords, for He is God’s appointed Messiah of Israel and He is the Saviour of the world. Moses was one such prophetic voice in Scripture, and he was inspired to write the book of Leviticus. He was the man that God chose to become the first great leader of His people. He was God’s mouthpiece to Pharaoh and the one who led God’s redeemed people out of Egypt, on that first Passover night. It was Moses through whom the Law was given to God’s chosen nation, and it was Moses who instructed His people how to live, if they were to receive God’s blessings. It was Moses who warned them what would happen if they disobeyed the Lord’s command and Moses was instructed by God to “Speak to all the congregation of the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.'” Israel was to be set apart from the gentile nations. They were to be a separated nation, a covenanted people, an atypical race that was holy to the Lord. They were to be God’s unique nation and a people for His own possession. They were chosen out of all the people groups who live on the face of the earth, to have a relationship with the one and only, holy God. Israel was to be a holy people unto the Lord their God. They were to be sanctified unto the Lord – a peculiar people unto Himself. They were to be an example of a nation that was consecrated to God. Israel was to be God’s earthly light to the pagan nations and an example of a holy community, who honoured the Lord. They had seen God move before them as pillars of fire and smoke and they had witnessed the mighty miracles that decimated their proud Egyptian overlords. They had made a covenant with the Lord and had promised to do all that the Lord had commanded – which is why God said to Moses, “speak to all the congregation of the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.'” The call to holiness still stands for the Christian in this dispensation of the grace of God. Like Israel, we are also instructed to be obedient children that are holy unto the Lord. Like them, we are not to be conformed to the lusts of the flesh and pride of life. Like Israel we are also instructed to be holy yourselves also in all our behavior – because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” Sponsored by Advertising Partner Sponsored Video Watch to learn more SEE MORE My Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You for the lessons that Your Church can learn through the history of Israel and for the many types and pictures of Jesus that are hidden within the sacred pages of Scripture. Thank You that like Israel, I have also been called to be holy, because You are holy. It is humbling to realise that as part of Christ’s Body, we have also been chosen, in Him, to be kings and priests unto God – to be a chosen people, who tell the world that Jesus died for their sin and rose again, so that by faith in Him we may be holy, as He is holy. Thank You that by faith in Christ, I have been called to be Your very own, and to proclaim the wonderful deeds of Him Who called me out of darkness into His marvellous light. May I live and work from this day forward, to be more like Jesus, and to live a holy life that is separated from this fallen world system. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.
