Now, what you’ve been waiting for! Here are your quiz results:

Congratulations! You’re healthy as a horse!

Great job! You’ve done well managing your health and wellness. At Shield Vitamins, we appreciate people like you! It takes the initiative and motivation many people don’t have to keep up with our bodies. Keep up the excellent work and share your inspiration with others because our health is the gift that keeps on giving. In the meantime, check out some of the things you’ll want to keep an eye on to keep looking and feeling good.

Get a colonoscopy.

According to the American Cancer Society, colon cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men and women. You should begin routine colonoscopies once you hit 50 (earlier if you are at higher risk). The test is safe and minimally invasive and is critical in helping detect the early stages of colon cancer for effective treatment.

See your eye doctor.

You may have noticed that reading the fine print isn’t as easy as it used to be and that reading glasses have become your new best friend. Unfortunately, your eyesight doesn’t get better with age. But, working with your eye doctor is essential because the signs of eye disease are often subtle. Be sure to get a good baseline exam. Keep your doctor informed of any changes, especially pain in your eyes, decreased vision, trouble seeing when driving at night, redness, and flashes or floaters in the eye.

Get serious about your diet and exercise.

Diet and exercise always play a crucial part in your health. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics notes that, along with fiber, other vital nutrients include B-12, calcium, vitamin D, and potassium. Skip the sugary drinks and keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Exercise can help prevent, delay or manage many chronic diseases that pop up after you hit 50 (such as heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, and obesity) and help to prevent falls. The exercise you invest in today can impact your health for years to come.

Be good to your skin.

Your skin is your largest organ, and eventually, you’ll start to notice changes to your skin, such as wrinkles, age spots, loss of elasticity, and dryness. Check-in with a dermatologist for a regular skin cancer screening, as the risk for skin cancer, increases with age. Other helpful hints to keep your skin looking great include regularly using sunscreen, staying or becoming smoke-free, and bathing in warm water with gentle soap and moisturizer.

Show your heart some love.

The risk of heart disease increases as we age. The risk for heart disease among women increases once they hit menopause. Eating a heart-healthy diet that includes omega-3s, healthy oils and vegetables, and regular exercise can help decrease the risk for heart disease. Take time to talk to your doctor about any concerns and educate yourself on heart attack and stroke signs.

Take Your Vitamins

No matter how healthy you eat or what kind of diet you follow, it can be difficult for your body to get all the nutrients it needs from food all the time. Every diet can have gaps, and factors outside your diet can play a role. In the areas where your food falls short, getting support from a quality multivitamin helps fill nutrient gaps—no matter your dietary preferences, age, or current life stage.

 Your FREE REPORT Appears Below!

As you’ve matured, your tastes have changed. You’ve outgrown many once-favorite foods. Chances are that sugary cereal, penny candy, and bubblegum are no longer part of your daily routine. At another time you may have subsisted on ramen noodles, peanut butter sandwiches, or delivery pizza, until your tastes, habits, or budget evolved.

Now that you’re over 45, you have a new set of reasons to reexamine your diet, banish unhealthy choices, and adopt a new set of favorites. With age come changes in your metabolism, activity level, brain function, and personal priorities; now may be the time to look for healthier alternatives to some of the foods you’ve become accustomed to.

Here’s a list of the top ten foods that may not be a good fit for healthy lifestyle after 45 – and a longer list of alternatives you may find that you enjoy even more. Making the switch can usher in an era of better heart health with reduced risk for cancer and diabetes, less digestive discomfort, a slimmer waistline, less chance of brain fog, healthier skin and hair, and added years of good health. A few thoughts as you start:

  • Don’t feel you have to make all changes at once. You don’t even have to make all of them. Just pick two or three you like best and phase some others in over time.
  • Don’t feel you have to go ‘cold turkey’ from one extreme to the other. Gradual changes are more likely to be permanent.
  • Identify your excuses for making bad food choices and eliminate them. For example, you may overindulge because it’s a “special occasion.” Replace impulse eating with purposeful eating and watch your health improve day by day.
  • Print this report and keep it in the same place you write out your weekly grocery list. Use it over time to swap in healthier food choices.
  • Finally, for those food habits you simply can’t give up, save yourself some “cheat days”, but no more than one a week.

Here’s our list of ten foods to give up after at 45, and in bold face type with each, a longer list of foods you’re apt to like better anyway. It’s your body, your health, your future – so choose your foods wisely.

10 Foods You Should Never Eat Again After Age 45
(and 20+ You’ll Like Better Anyway)

PLUS:

1. Fried foods

The more fried food you eat, the greater your risk for heart failure. That’s the conclusion of a 2015 study at Harvard Medical School, as reported by WebMD.

Their recommendation: “ditch the French fries, doughnuts, crispy fried fish and chicken, and other foods cooked in fat.” 1

Samantha Heller, a senior clinical nutritionist at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York, told WebMD that greasier foods increase calorie consumption, leading to obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart disease.

“In addition,” she said, “people who eat a lot of fried foods may also consume a generally less healthy diet, consisting of more red and processed meats and fewer vegetables, beans and fruits. The bottom line is, eating fried foods once in awhile is fine but not on a daily or even a weekly basis.”

The good news is that finding alternatives to fried foods is easy. If you have a fondness for fish and chips, order your broiled fish with a pat of butter and eat just half an order of the fries. If you must a donut with your coffee, choose a donut hole instead; you’ll enjoy the same donut shop experience while eliminating 73% of the calories. Fast food joints known for fried food offer non-fried alternatives, like grilled chicken sandwiches.

2. Junk food

Junk food is no joke. The term applies to any cheap food containing high levels of calories from sugar or fat while offering little in the way of fiber, protein, vitamins or minerals.

Junk food alone is probably not going to wreck your health, but it is a contributing factor. Best of all, it’s easy to eliminate.

The best selling items in most fast food places and convenience stores are junk food. To get the burgers, fries, candy bars, and chips out of your diet, stop going into (or driving through) the places that sell them. Since you most often eat these foods when you are out in your car, consider keeping healthier snacks like granola bars in your vehicle. Or if you’ve looking to grab a snack while you’re filling your gas tank, convenience stores often sell bananasapples, or healthy snacks like fruit and yogurt cups (just look out for added sugar). If you crave something crunchy and salty, skip the chips and grab a small bag of lightly salted almonds.

Junk food calories are empty calories. The high metabolism you enjoyed when you were growing up easily burned them off. But after age 45, it’s time to reassess; aren’t there better things your like to spend your daily calories on?

3. Sandwiches

Though we’ve just mentioned grilled chicken sandwiches as a much healthier alternative to fast-food burgers, a sandwich for lunch every day may not be the best idea.

Sandwiches traditionally combine bread (often refined white bread), lunch meats (high in fat and nitrates), cheese, and mayo or other high calorie spreads. Put them all together and you’ve got a calorie bomb in a baggie.

Here are some healthier alternatives:

  • Make or order all your sandwiches with whole grain bread
  • Use twice the vegetables and a third less meat
  • Hold the cheese; or eliminate all the meat and use one slice of cheese with lots of veggies
  • Replace mayo with mustardpickle relish, or hummus
  • Deconstruct the sandwich by ordering a bowl or a wrap instead, completely eliminating the bread
  • Order your lunch off the salad menu and skip the sandwiches altogether (beware the high-calorie dressings and the basket of bread)

These options are as quick, easy, and satisfying as traditional ham-and-cheese, but without the excess fat and calories. As with with the junk food, you’ve got better things to spend your calories on.

4. Refined Sugar

Refined sugar is added to many processed and prepared foods for a couple basic reasons.

First, it’s an easy way to make foods more appealing to your taste buds.

Second, sugar is ridiculously cheap due to heavy subsidies from the federal government; while one set of government workers urges you to adopt healthy eating habits, another is doling our subsidies, tax breaks, and trade protection to U.S. sugar producers. In addition, many in the political class now want to tax you for consuming the very same sugar that your taxes already helped subsidize.

In a nation where diabetes has reached epidemic levels, taxpayer-financed sugar subsidies make no sense whatsoever. Your take-away – do your own research, think for yourself, and stop letting the government decide what you put in your mouth.

Start by eliminating as much refined sugar as possible. According to nutritional experts, refined sugar contributes to serious health problems such as obesity, tooth decay, hypoglycemia, diabetes, vitamin and mineral depletion. 2 Tooth decay alone is a compelling reason to give up refined sugar; your later years will be a lot more pleasurable if you still have your original set of healthy teeth.

Nutrition expert Dr. Josh Axe recommends these top 5 sugar substitutes: raw honeysteviadatescoconut sugar, and maple syrup3

5. Added salt

Like refined sugar, salt is a cheap food additive that our tastebuds enjoy and have become accustomed to. Food processors know this and add salt liberally to packaged and prepared foods.

Historically, salt has been an essential element in the human diet due to its value as a preservative. Salt has been used to cure fish and meat going back thousands of years. However the advent of refrigeration in just the last century has reduced the need for salt as a preservative. Trouble is, our taste buds and our cooking habits still haven’t fully adjusted.

According to the Harvard School of Public Health, high salt intake increases blood pressure, which can lead to heart disease. 4

You have many alternatives to added salt when it comes to enhancing the flavor of your food. These include garlic powderhot saucered pepper flakesherb blend and many other options found in the spice section of your favorite market.

6. Distilled spirits

You already know that alcohol has serious health impacts. What you may not have considered is that these impacts can be more severe after age 45. Your brain, your liver, and your heart can all suffer irreparable harm, degrading your quality of life in your mature years.

The brain impact alone is enough to cause anyone to reassess their alcohol habits; cognitive decline, depression, and the risk of falling all increase with excessive alcohol consumption.

If you drink distilled spirits, consider switching to options with lower alcoholic content as a safer choice. Beer and wine in excess can be as bad for your health as distilled spirits, but have the advantage of being more dilute.

Many popular options are now available for lower alcohol beer (under 5% ABV). A few top selling brands include Anchor Steam (4.9%), Founders All Day IPA (4.7%) , Newcastle Brown Ale (4.7%), Goose Island Honkers Ale (4.3%), and Guinness (4.2%). Some popular brews go even lower: Sam Adams Light (4%), Murphy’s Irish Stout (4%), and Victory Donnybrook Stout (3.7%).

These beverages allow you to enjoy social hour without unduly punishing your brain, liver, heart and other organs. Two 12-oz. bottles of Sam Adams Light contain less than one full ounce alcohol. Two pints of Guinness contain about 1-⅓ oz. of alcohol.

Most wines have a higher alcoholic content than beer, but still much lower than distilled spirits. Wine is typically 12-15 percent alcohol, versus 40 percent or more for distilled spirits. Some varieties tend to be lower in alcohol, including moscato and reisling at around 6%. Some red blends have alcohol content as low as 10.5%. Red wine contains resveratrol, believed by many to support heart health. Mix your wine with sparking water or fresh squeezed fruit juice to reduce the alcohol content even further.

For a taste comparable to wine at the alcohol level of beer, Angry Orchard hard cider comes in at 5.0% ABV. Other ciders and fruit lambics may be lower.

Learn to purchase or order beer and wine based on alcohol content, much as you’d compare nutrition labels of jars of peanut butter. If you occasionally want to enjoy a distilled spirit, use a ample amounts of a mixer such as sparkling water, ginger ale, bloody Mary mix, or fresh squeezed fruit juice.

Also remember that the single most important beverage to consume is pure water. Have a glass of water both before and after consuming alcohol in order slow absorption, dilute the alcohol in your system, and stay adequately hydrated, since alcohol actually dehydrates you.

7. Mystery meat

Hot dogs and other processed, cured meats should be avoided because they contain… well, who even knows what they contain, which in itself is the reason to avoid them. Mystery meat tends to be high in fat, sodium, nitrates, fillers, and food coloring, not to mention animals parts you always assumed either got thrown away or used in dog food.

If you’re eating in a deli, sliced turkey breast is probably your best bet. Turkey pastrami is a healthier choice than deli meats made from fatty beef brisket. If you’ve having an occasional hot dog, makers of all-beef hot dogs tend to have the highest standards for quality and nutrition. Hebrew National, maker of kosher-certified all-beef hot dogs, claims that its wieners are superior because “we answer to a higher authority.” There may be some truth to this, as Hebrew National along with Wellshire Farms was rated tops in the nation by a taste-testing panel at The New York Times. 5

The healthiest meat options include grass fed beef and bison and antibiotic-free chicken and turkey.

8. Soda

Since you’re reading a report on healthy living, you probably don’t need to be told that soda is bad for you.

Whether it’s full-sugar or a diet version, soda is not healthy and has no redeeming values. It does not make your life better or more fun, and it does not make you more attractive. Switch to iced tea (either unsweetened, or sweetened with one of the natural alternatives listed earlier in this report). Choose either traditional black tea, anti-oxident rich green tea, or one of the many flavorful herbal teas. Or go with one of the many options available in water – flavored watervitamin wateror basic pure spring water. Hydration is essential, soda is not.

9. Fat-promoting foods

Being obese and over 45 is a bad combination. The strain on your heart alone can take years of good health off of your life. The extra pressure on your joints can make walking difficult and uncomfortable. This in turn means you’re less likely to get even a basic level of exercise. It’s time to shape up your diet by erasing fat-promoting foods from your life.

Leading culprits include potatoes, a starch and should be eaten in moderation. Instead, choose vegetables like cabbagegreen beans and carrots. If you’re dining out, skip the starches and order an extra vegetable or a salad instead.

Avoid high-fat ground beef. Instead choose 90 percent lean beef. Don’t eat the skin on chicken. You still need some fat in your diet, which you can get from using high quality olive oilall-natural peanut butter, and avocados6

If your diet is too heavy in fat-promoting foods (and you’re too heavy as a result), seek help from your doctor, from a nutritionist, or reshape your food intake and your body by following a common sense eating plan like the Mediterranean diet.

10. Brussels Sprouts

Never eat brussels sprouts after age 45 – unless you actually like brussels sprouts. We’re stretching the point here in order to say that you no longer have to eat what your mother tells you to eat. Now that you’ve matured, you should not feel compelled to eat anything you don’t like – brussels sprouts, broccoli, liver, you name it. Enjoy your meals by learning to choose foods that you enjoy and that are good for you. Your grocer offers more variety than ever before, as do restaurants. Experiment with new foods that are whole, fresh, and low in fat. Find what you like and eat it!

Deuteronomy 16:17 And How It Pertains to Tithing and Offerings

Deuteronomy 16:17: And What it Means to All People!!

By Anthony Joseph Hopkins June 16, 2022

Deuteronomy 16:17 states that every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee.  This particular Bible verse is in the Mosaic Laws.  However, I want to inform everyone that God is being very flexible when it comes to paying tithes and offerings.  I did not know that tithes are supposed to be added to the household budget.  For example, if a person is earning $1,026.00 per month, this means that we will have to pay $126.00 per month in tithes and offerings.

Next, I want to say that this particular Bible verse is no longer emphasized.  This is simply because we are under the New Covenant.  Although this Bible verse is very nice and generous.  I know that everyone has to pay according as he wishes.  Basically, we are making God angry with us when we do not pay tithes and offerings.  My overall bills come up to $1,026.00 dollars per month.  If I include my tithes and offerings, I will have to pay a total of $126.00 per month.

Further, I want to inform all of you that some people in Moses time did not have income.  They utilized livestock, silver, and gold.  To be honest, the wages that people earned was not worth anything.  I am not criticizing the way that God did His business.  It is that people worked an entire day for wages.  This is the reason why I wrote an essay concerning people who earned fix incomes do they still have to pay tithes and offerings?  The answer to this question is yes.

Moreover, I really feel that some of the Old Testament Bible Verses should be emphasized in today’s times.  Right now, it is not very easy for anyone who earns a Disability Check to pay tithes and offerings.  Some do and some do not pay anything to the Church that they attend each week.  I know that my life at this moment has been complicated.  My life has been complicated because I owe student loans and other debts.

Finally, I want to say that at least God is very flexible with everyone.  I do not want to make God angry with me ever again.  To be honest, I will have to include my 10% of my income to pay tithes and offerings.  I really think God is really giving everyone a break because I have some valuables that I can sell each month for money.  I have a Books are called My Grace is Sufficient for me, and Essays.

My book is not selling because I could not afford the marketing fees to market my book.  My book is small, and I feel that I can at least accomplish a goal for God.  To be completely honest with all of you, I owe $22,500 dollars in student loans from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  I was enrolled in school only for a short period of time.  I graduated from the University of Toledo on June 12, 1993 and June 17, 1995 respectively.  I earned my degree from The University College.

In Conclusion, I want to inform all of you that I am doing the best I can just to pay bills and survive.  May the God of Peace be with all of you.  I really feel that I have selected an essay that comes right out of the Bible.  It might be from the Old Testament, but I feel that I have knowledge and experience when it comes to the Bible.

Luke 6:35

Luke 6:35-36 and what does it mean to all people!!

This is an essay that asks one very important question.  What does Luke 6:35-36 mean to all people?  First, I want to say that I used to have a problem with this particular Bible verse because people have done me so wrong that I felt humiliated in my own hometown.

I will admit that my life during the past 30 years consisted of ups and downs behaviorally speaking.  I will also admit that I used to be the type of person who used to retaliate on other people; especially when they did wrong to me.  However, during the past 30 years, my life has truly changed for the better.  I also will admit that I have done so many things in my personal life.  For example, I have lent so much money to other people, and just like the Bible verse states that we do not ask for our money back.

Next, I want to inform everyone that I had to completely humble myself in front of Jesus Christ, who is my personal Savior.  When I was inside of the world, I did exactly what the world was doing.  I have changed when I received my annulment from my marriage because my ex-wife cheated on me with another man.  I have forgiven her for what she has done wrong.  I have a clean heart right now.

In Addition, I want to inform everyone that Jesus Christ has changed my behavior because I desired for Him to do so.  I was at a point in my personal life that I felt like giving up back in the year 2010.  This is simply because I got scammed out of $16,977 dollars in Western Union Funds by scammers and computer hackers.  I will admit that at one point that I felt desperate and lonely.  I had a desire for a wife.  It did not work out because I only wanted to have a relationship just like everyone else.

Luke 6:35-36 means to me that God will bless me with the things that I need.  I know that I have changed because I had realized by reading the Holy Bible that I have the Holy Spirit inside of me.  When it comes to this Bible verse, it means that I have to do for all of my enemies.  I have to lend them money and still forgive them.  I will also admit that I am the person who forgives everyone very easily.  For instance, my baby brother did not forgive me of my past.  I still have beef with him, but I have learned to pray for him.

Moreover, I do not have a desire to argue and quarrel with anyone.  I would rather forgive you for what you have done wrong to me.  If I do something wrong to anyone, I am quick to apologize to anyone.  I will not exchange insults with anyone, nor slander anyone.  I am a peaceful person right now.  I have been through so much in my life that I am on the verge of writing an autobiography about my life.  I really love people, animals, and nature.  I have this appreciation for life itself.  I love the things on earth.  I am a whole lot more humble than ever before.

Finally, I want everyone to know that I truly love you.  I have a deep appreciation for everyone.  This is the reason why God is watching all of us.  I want to say that I pray every single day of the week and read the Bible all of the time.  I share the Gospel of Peace to everyone.  Praise the Lord!!  I would like for everyone to please keep me in your prayers because I suffer from multiple health problems right now.  Luke 6:35:36 can be very difficult for some people.  For me personally, I am more honest and truthful with everyone.  My life belongs to Jesus Christ right now.

In Conclusion, I want to inform everyone that I used to run away from my problems in the past.  Right now, I face them.  I am able to accept constructive criticism very well.  My life itself has changed because I really got tired of the high cost of low living.  There are some of my family members and friends who are completely surprised because of my complete transformation.  I feel a whole lot better right now.

If anyone did not tell you that they did not love you; I love you and accept you for the person that you really are.  If you need anything, please do not be afraid to ask me.  My life is good.  There are people who do not like me because of my past, but I pray for them anyway.  Life right now is better for me because I have Jesus Christ inside of me.  I gave my life to Jesus Christ on February 15, 2015.  I attend Fort McKinley United Methodist Church in Dayton, Ohio.  I have been clean and sober since May 2, 1990.  I am a 56 year old man who has a lot of common sense.  I am very intelligent, kind, compassionate, polite, smart, helpful, friendly, and respectful.  I respect people even when they do not respect me in return.

What is the Difference Between Honesty and Just

What is the Difference Between Honesty, and being Just?  By Anthony Joseph Hopkins

What is honesty according to Bible?

Being honest means choosing not to lie, steal, cheat, or deceive in any way. When we are honest, we build strength of character that will allow us to be of great service to God and to others. We are blessed with peace of mind and self-respect and will be trusted by the Lord and others.

Definition of honesty

the quality or fact of being honest; uprightness and fairness. truthfulness, sincerity, or frankness. freedom from deceit or fraud.

What does it mean to be a just man in the Bible?

Calling Joseph, a “just man”, then, is so much more than his observance of Jewish dietary laws and Sabbath practices. Joseph was a man of “righteousness” (tzedekah) and “justice” (mishpat), being attuned to the right thing and actually doing it.

What does it mean to be an honest man?

If you describe someone as honest, you mean that they always tell the truth, and do not try to deceive people or break the law. I know she’s honest and reliable. Synonyms: trustworthy, decent, upright, reliable More Synonyms of honest.

What are 3 examples of honesty?

Examples of Honesty

  • Admitting when you were Wrong. …
  • Choosing not to Cheat. …
  • Saying when you’ve had your Fair Share. …
  • Speaking up when Something Upsets You. …
  • Saying an Unpopular Truth. …
  • Showing Disappointment and Emotions. …
  • Returning Something that Belongs to Others. …
  • Sharing Constructive Feedback.

What is a just man definition?

a fair or impartial in action or judgment. b (as collective n; preceded by the) the just. 2 conforming to high moral standards; honest.

What is honesty and why is it important?

Being honest means choosing not to lie, steal, cheat, or deceive in any way. When we are honest, we build strength of character that will allow us to be of great service to God and to others. We are blessed with peace of mind and self-respect and will be trusted by the Lord and others.

The definition of honesty is when a person tells the truth at all times.  An honest person is a person who shares his or her genuineness to others.  When it comes to the word just it is a fair or impartial action or judgment.  Thank you for reading my essay on honesty and being just.

Steps That are Ordered by God!!

Steps ordered by God

Is it true that our steps are ordered by God?  This is a very good question.  The reason why I am asking this question is simply because I am curious.  The following Bible verses will be discussed: Jeremiah 10:23, Proverbs 20:24, Job 34:21, and Job 31:4.  First, I would like to emphasize that God does order our steps.  According to Jeremiah 10:23 says O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.  This means that it is a Power that is greater than ourselves that is actually helping us.

Second, in the Book of Proverbs in the 20th Chapter and the 24th verse which states that man’s goings are of the Lord, how can a man understand his own way?  This Bible verse is a little bit different.  A man’s goings are the steps that are ordered by God.  How can a man understand his own way?  This is a very good question.  God is solely responsible for telling us what to do.  God is still doing for all of us more than we are doing for ourselves.

Next, I want to inform all of you that God is in charge of all of our decisions.  I want to mention that God does give man a free will.  With this free will, it is a choice that God gives us to do according to the Will of God, or else, we are going to perish. I want to do what God tells me to.  I know that I have made some bad decisions in my personal life.  I also want to say that God makes decisions for us, even though, we have failed as a human being at times.

Third, I would like to talk about the Book of Job.  In Job 34:21 says; For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all of his goings.  This means that God is watching all of us very carefully.  He counts our steps each day of our lives.  The word goings mean steps in the Bible.  This means that there is someone who is giving us instructions while we are living on earth.  God even knows exactly how long we are going to live on earth.

Fourth, God knows all of our ways and He also counts every step that we make in our lives.  Job 31:4 says; Doth not He sees my ways, and count all of my steps?  The answer to this question is yes.  The word doth means Does in the Bible.  I want to inform all of you that it is God who knows all things about mankind.  To be honest with all of you, while we are sleeping inside of our beds at night, God opens the ears of man and sealeth their instruction.  This is in Job 33:14-16.

Fifth and Finally, I want to inform all of you that God speaks to all of us while we are sleeping.  He gives us our daily instructions.  In Summary, God gives us life.  The breath that we breathe each day does not belong to us anyway.  God counts all of our steps in our lives.  Everything that I have typed is the truth.  The Bible backs up everything I have been sharing today.  God Bless All of You!!!  Please have a blessed day!

Reconciliation and Forgiveness towards God, Jesus Christ, Other People, and Ourselves.

Reconciliation and Forgiveness with God, Ourselves and with Others!!

This is a very special essay concerning the importance of reconciliation and forgiveness with God, ourselves, and with others.  The first thing that I want to say is that God has never left us or forsaken us.  Perhaps, we might have forsaken ourselves at times in our personal lives.  I say this because I used to be a person who did not believe anything, unless I see it with my own eyes.  Secondly, God is not mad at you.  He is mad about you.  God wants us in His family.  He really wants us in heaven with Him.

Further, God forgives us because He loved us.  Forgiveness does not equal reconciliation.  Reconciliation takes two people.  For instance, our relationship with God is very important to us.  God’s love is supernatural.  Forgiveness opens the door to reconciliation.  God’s love will always persevere.  Our conversations with others with God requires change on our part.  He have to be totally honest and sincere with Him.  Reconciliation requires that we be on the same page with God, ourselves, and with others.

Moreover, I want to inform all of you that I have rededicated my life to Jesus Christ as of June 3, 2018 at 7:30AM.  I want to inform all of you that I have been baptized several times in numerous of Churches.  It is that I was still harboring a lot of anger with myself and others.  God had always understood me from the time that I was inside of my mother’s womb.

According to Jeremiah 1:5; God knew us while we were inside of our mother’s womb.  Even before we were formed, He knew us, before we were born, He sanctified us and ordained us as a prophet to the nations.

In Addition, God even knows exactly how long we are going to live.  When it comes to Psalms 139:16, it states that our days are fashioned for us even before we are born.  However, love keeps no record of wrongs.  Therefore, we should meditate on God’s love.  There are times that we tend to hold onto our past and there are times that we do the same thing to others.  God sent His Son to die for our sins.  In order to have a conversation with God, we need to keep prayer simple.  We also need to read the Bible as well.  We are ambassadors for Christ.  Do not hold grudges against anyone.  We need to turn from our self-centered living so that God’s love would be possible.

Jesus died for us so that we can be free.  The cross makes reconciliation possible.  God’s love is stronger.  God is the God of all power.  God communicates His heart with us.  We represent the heart of God.  Fear in love; perfect love cast out fear.  We need to allow God to fix us.  We need God’s grace.  Freedom is here.  God love for us is very pure.  To me personally, God was saying let me know when you are ready.  Reconciliation requires change.  We are afraid of asking too much.  For me personally, I have become a member of the Mormon Faith, 3 Baptist Churches, and currently the United Methodist Church.  I have dedicated my life to each church by getting baptized in water and receiving the Holy Spirit.

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Please, never stop at forgiveness.  I have officially reconcile with God yesterday and I am happy.  I still have a whole lot of work to do.  I have to share the Good News of the Gospel of Peace.  Jeremiah 23:23 says that am I a God near at hand says the Lord, and not a God afar off?  God is always with us.  He has been with me even during my active addiction.  I have learned a whole lot since the year 2015.  This is during the time that I was baptized by my current pastor at Fort McKinley Church in Dayton, Ohio.

Romans 16:18 says live at peace with everyone.  Jesus body and blood was shed for us.  God’s love drives out fear.  Acknowledgement is the first step of healing.  God will never fail us.  Christ died for us so that we can move forward and reconcile with Christ.  God will always give ourselves to us.  Freedom and joy comes from God.  I know for me personally, I feel a whole lot better right now.  I must reconcile with my family members and those who refuse to talk to me.  I must first reconcile with God, myself, and others as well.

The Bible is a conversation material for us.  God is saying engage with me.  I engage with God by reading His word, praying, and acknowledging all of my sins and ask God for repentance each day.  We all want to be heard and understood at all times.  Hurt people hurt people!!  I will admit that I used to take all of my problems out on others.  I was not a bully.  I was a person who was under attack by my enemies from the past.  I also had Satan as an enemy as well. When it comes to the devil, I will admit that I was a person who was hearing voices that were not benevolent.

The voices that I have heard were demonic spirits attacking me.  There were times when I used to talk back to the voices.  Personal attacks destroy our character both externally and inwardly.  These messages cause a lot of blame.  People react to pain in different ways.  All we do is collect wounds, and it starts all over again.  It also has a lot to do with anxiety and worry.  God sees a future with us.  He forgives us.  God wants a heart to heart conversation with us.  The cross represents the hope for reconciliation.  God is more interested in changing our circumstances.  There are no exclusions to God’s love.  Whoever lives in love, God is with them.

We are made free in Jesus Christ.  We are ambassadors for Christ.  God reveals His character through us.  We are God’s creation.  This is the Good News.  His blood was poured out for our forgiveness.  God has forgiven me.  I feel much better right now, and I am sharing this message today because God loves you, and so do I.  This is a love that has no walls.  God’s love goes beyond our human expectations.

May the God of all peace be with you all!!  God Bless You!!  Thank You for reading my essay.

The Word of The Lord is as sweet as Honey!!

The Word of The Lord is as sweet as Honey!!

I would like to start this essay by asking a very important question.  Do you think that the Word of God taste as sweet as honey?  The answer is yes!!  According to Jeremiah 15:16 it says that when your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, LORD God Almighty.  When I think of this Bible verse, The Word of God is very refreshing.  I also gives me freedom and truth.  I really enjoy God’s word every day of my life.

Further, I want to tell everyone that God is Love.  God has changed me for the better.  I really do not like to use any vulgarity or engage in any behaviors of my past.  The Holy Spirit is inside of me.  I have been born again on 2/15/2015 at Fort McKinley Church in Dayton, Ohio.  I got baptized in the name of the Father of the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  I am changed by the power of the Holy Ghost.  My mind itself has changed.  I am educated about the Word of God.  Psalms 19:10 says they are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.  The word of God has changed me because I am taking ownership and responsibility for all of my actions.

Moreover, I know that I have to read the Bible and remember a lot of verses.  The Lord has touched me because I feel a whole lot better by listening to worship music instead of rap music.  I do not listen to the music from the past and watch movies from my past because it is of the world.  The world itself has changed so much from the time that I was a child that I would prefer to attend church on a regular basis, read the Bible each day, and pray honestly to God.  My prayer life has changed because I always tell the truth to God.  Matthew 6:8 says the Lord knows the things that you need of long before you ask Him.  This is the reason why I recite the Lord’s Prayer and the Serenity Prayer each day.

Also, I always pay attention to my environment because it is changing as well.  According to the State of Ohio Department of Commerce, over 9,000 people moved out of Dayton, Ohio last year.  I did not know this until I saw it on the local news.  Frankly, the Lord is keeping me here in my hometown of Dayton, Ohio for a reason.  Even though my family members are upset with me because I attend AA/NA Meetings on a regular basis.

I have been clean and sober for 32 years as of this year.  In order for me to have a conversation with God, I must open up the Bible and ask God to speak to me through His word.  God’s love for us will never cease.  The Lord will be with us every day of our lives.  God has not stopped loving you.  God will never give up on you, we should not give up on Him.  The Word of the Lord is true.  The love of God works as long as we give Him a chance in our life.  Love never fails.  The Bible is a conversation material for us.  The Lord God will engage us with His word.

Finally, I want to say that ever since I have dedicated my life to Christ, I feel a whole lot better.  If you want to change, that will put a smile on God’s face.  God is smiling on all of us who want to change.  Forgiveness is a part of spiritual healing.  I have been learning how to appreciate all of the small things that God has done for me.  I thank Him when I wake up.  I thank Him when I read His word and listen to His music.  I also ask God to follow me everywhere I go.  I even thank Him for allowing me to write, read, and to use the computer.  I ask God to reveal all of the strongholds in my personal life.  I am happy to disclose this information to others. I ask God to do all of the work in my life.  Thank you for reading my blog.

Under The Sun

UNDER THE SUN…?

Ecclesiastes 9:4

For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope:

for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

In Proverbs, Solomon spoke of ‘living’ in

The house of wisdom, or in the house of

A foolish woman.

Solomon explored the ‘different’ houses

of (foolishness) that one could live in.

How many wives did Solomon have..?

How many of them were pagan idolaters…?

And he built for all of them, pagan altars,

In order to appease them, so ‘they’ could serve

Their fake, false ‘gods’??

Hence; “the house of foolishness” !

When referencing 2 Corinthians 12:1-6;

which speaks of – and defines the 3 heavens,

when Solomon spake of:

living “Under the sun” —

He was referring to [choosing] to live

In a ‘two-heaven’ world…

One in which ( GOD ) was not acknowledged.

People, set grand goals for themselves,

[only] to be disappointed [if] they achieve them.

When we look for the meaning;

“Under the sun” (without GOD) –

(Instead of) under the sun, with GOD,

We will ONLY find VANITY.

Emptiness.

If we do not we recognize and acknowledge

CHRIST JESUS, we will find ‘life’ to be a

Meaningless [cycle] of life and death.

like every descendant of Adam,

We are spiritually stillborn.

We are born spiritually dead.

You and I and every other person,

are born dead — dead in sin,

(see Ephesians. 2:1).

We were born dead because

of the sin of our representative head, Adam.

The apostle Paul teaches us that

“sin came into the world through one man,

and death through sin, and so death spread

to all men because all sinned” (Rom. 5:12).

And spiritual death is not the end of it.

Even if we are born physically healthy,

our spiritual death will be followed

at some point by our physical death:

“For you are dust, and to dust you shall return”

(Genesis. 3:19).

It is for this reason that JESUS told Nicodemus,

“You must be born again” (John 3:7).

The spiritually dead cannot enter GOD’S holy presence.

“Unless one is born again-

he cannot see the kingdom of GOD” John 3:3.

In order to see GOD’S kingdom,

then, the spiritually ‘stillborn’

must be brought to life.

There must be spiritual resurrection.

There must be new life, eternal life.

“You must be born again.”

It is the sovereign work of the HOLY SPIRIT.

1 John Chapter 2

23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also].

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, [even] eternal life.

Let’s look at Ecclesiastes 9:4-5;

4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope:

for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

5 5 For the living know that they shall die:

but the dead know not any thing,

neither have they any more a reward;

for the memory of them is forgotten.

…What does this mean??

The most despicable of living man’s state,

is preferable to that of

the most noble who have died impenitent, unregretful.

Impenitent:

not feeling shame or regret about one’s actions or attitudes.

For a living dog is better than a dead lion —

Much happier as to the comforts of this world.

“The meanest and most contemptible person here,

in this world, hath the advantage of the greatest king,

when he is gone out of it.”

For the living know that they shall die —

Whereby they are taught to improve life,

while they have it.

But the dead know not any thing —

Of the actions and events of this world,

as this is limited in the next verse.

Neither have they any more a reward —

In this world.

The reward or fruit of their labours is

utterly lost to them, and enjoyed by others.

(if even then..)

Living a ‘life’ without GOD, ( under the sun)

is living amongst the dead.

D-e-a-d, dead.

On the other-hand —

Living under the ‘SON’ ( JESUS CHRIST )

(IS) the “LIVING”, living amongst the dead.

John 1:4

“In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”

“Life” has here no limitation,

and is to be understood in its widest sense.

The plainest reason why the SON of GOD –

is called (the Word), seems to be, that as our words explain

our minds to others, so was the SON of GOD sent

in order to reveal HIS Father’s mind to the world.

What the evangelist says of CHRIST proves that HE [ is ] GOD.

He asserts, HIS existence in the beginning;

HIS coexistence with the Father.

The Word was with GOD.

All things were made by HIM, and not as an instrument.

Without HIM was not anything made that was made,

from the highest angel to the meanest, lowest worm.

This shows how well qualified HE was for the work of

our redemption and salvation.

The (light of reason), as well as the (life of sense),

is derived from HIM, and depends upon HIM.

This eternal WORD, this TRUE LIGHT shines,

but the darkness comprehend’s it, ( not. )

Let us pray without ceasing,

that our eyes may be opened to behold this LIGHT,

that we may walk in it;

and thus be made wise unto salvation,

by faith in JESUS CHRIST !
