But in the context of our opening verse, it means to acknowledge. If we acknowledge our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. When we say freedom from sin, we’re not talking about freedom from the bondage of sin but freedom from sinning. Freedom from the bondage of sin refers to Satan’s dominion which has been broken. But freedom from sin means the ability and possibility to live righteously and not to do wrong. Is that possible? Emphatically yes! It’s what Jesus came to do; otherwise, it means His purpose wasn’t accomplished. But thanks be unto God; He fulfilled His purpose. We’re an unlikely duo—a gratitude and well-being scholar (Lan) and a CEO and executive advisor (Mike)—who connected on LinkedIn and engaged with each other’s content. During our discussions, we both reflected on our career journeys, realizing we shared a common regret: not having been more proactive in self-advocacy throughout our professional lives. This common ground stemmed from our humble beginnings, which had instilled in us a deep sense of gratitude for even the smallest of opportunities or acknowledgments, often at the expense of asserting our own worth and potential. As we delved deeper into the subject, we realized that an imbalanced approach to gratitude can have negative effects on our reasoning and decision making.

Pitfall #1: Becoming content with the status quo or settling for less
Let’s say you get a chance to contribute to an important project. While it’s an exciting opportunity, it’s not exactly what you hoped for. You really aspired to lead this project. You might think to yourself, “I should be grateful I’m on the project. I’m better off than those who didn’t get this chance at all.” This is a classic example of downward social comparison, wherein gratitude can lead you to compare your situation favorably to others who may be less fortunate. Say, you’re entrusted with every high-profile project on the team and that makes you feel proud, accomplished, and valued. But you also feel frustrated and overwhelmed at the sheer quantum of that work. You work weekends and nights to get through your to-do list. But you choose not to voice this because you’re grateful for the immense flexibility your manager has extended to you, which has made it easier for you to manage work and life responsibilities.

Remember that it’s normal to have a multitude of emotions and that all emotions are valid and serve a purpose, even the uncomfortable ones. Having the courage to feel negative emotions can be empowering—it can be the fuel you need to push for change.

Is it true that we have to forgive each person 490 times? The answer to this question is yes. We have to forgive everyone for what each person have done to you.
I used to have a problem with forgiveness a long time ago. This is because I used to get abused and neglected as a child as well as an adult. I want to let everyone know that it is not very easy apologizing and accepting apologies from other people. I feel good right now because I have learned how to forgive others while attending church as a child. At first, I used to get upset when others have hurt me. I used to run away from God. It is very serious when it comes to forgiveness. This means that I have to forgive each person living on this earth 490 times. I literally understand right now what it takes to accept other people. I meditated on this topic before I decided to type it. Next, I am very happy that I am the person that I am right now because I have learned a brand new behavior. It is called forgiving other people. The first thing that I had to do is ask God for forgiveness in all of my sins. I have to ask God to accept me as I am as a human being. God really loves me. He literally loves all of us. Further, I had to confess with my mouth to the Lord Jesus and believe it inside of my heart. I really believe that God had raised Jesus Christ from the dead: You will be saved. I am just happy that I have learned a new behavior, and it makes the Lord very happy that I am forgiving others, and accepting each other in love.
I have to realize that I really have to be very careful when it comes to dealing with my own emotions. I have come to the realization that I am a brand new creation in Christ Jesus. He will never leave you, nor forsake you. I am very happy that I have Jesus Christ as my Personal Savior. The very thing that I am doing is imitating the behavior of Jesus Christ. I know that it is not going to be an easy journey: However, God is with me! I also have to give other people credit for molding and shaping my overall behavior. God works through people. There have been people that were involved in my life; just to see me do something positive in my life. It is that God is watching all of us from heaven. I will admit that I had to take Anger Management classes for a total of 8 years. I had to learn how to get my emotions in check. I had to let go of self and live for Jesus Christ. Finally, I had to learn to allow God to help me to let go of the things from my past. I am just happy and ready to serve Jesus Christ. Forgiveness when it comes to the 490 times thing is endless. All that I am really saying that we have to forgive others on a regular basis. This is a life- long process. It takes a lot of progress and effort on our part when it comes to making a difference in the lives of others. I am a very nice person, who have come a very long way in my personal life. What does it mean to make amends with God and others?
Hello Everyone!! I hope that everyone is having a good day today. I would like to start this off by asking a very important question. What does it mean to make amends with God and others? An amends is when someone apologizes for a wrongdoing and change the behavior afterwards. For instance, when a person commits a wrongdoing, a person is supposed to confer with God first and foremost. Afterwards, repent for your sins and forgive yourself in the process. Afterwards, you are supposed to apologize with anyone that you have done wrong to. Saying I am sorry is really not enough. You have to change your behavior for the better.
An example of this is when I told my family members about my brother’s problems, without asking him first. Some would say that I am a backbiter or a two faced person. I did not have any business telling my brother’s problems to others. This is because my brother is getting ready to have a total of 4 children. I have told him that selling drugs will not pay the bills. He will have to get a job and keep it for the rest of his life.
To be honest, I do not have any children because I know that I can barely take care of myself. Therefore, I would prefer not to have sex with any woman, until we get married. I would prefer to have a friendship with everyone, man or woman. This is what I am supposed to do for the rest of my life. An amends is when you are supposed to admit to your mistake, ask for forgiveness, rectify the wrong, and eventually change the behavior. It takes a very long time to modify a specific behavior, and change it for the better. I know that in my case, my family members are not the forgiving type of people.
I have to ask God to intervene in this matter. There are a few of my friends, who would rather not have anything to do with you. When that happens, that is it and it is final with some people. Some people do not know how to make amends with anyone, or with God the Father. I also want to inform everyone that I have a brother right now that I really have not spoken to in 24 years. It hurts me because he does not want anything to do with me. It is his fault for calling me a female dog at my Great Grandmother’s funeral on August 19, 1994.
It hurts me because I have to be the better person by apologizing to my brother for fighting him. He did not understand that my Great Grandmother raised me, while my mother was being treated for Post-Partum Depression. It also hurt me when my own father died. I was not notified about him or his death. I asked my Aunt, where was I during the time my father died?
I am hurt and devastated because I have not had a chance to resolve any of my active issues with anyone. Currently, I am puzzled because I have not had a chance to resolve any of my active issues with everyone in my personal life. I have a cousin who fought me for 9 years. I am not at the liberty of mentioning his name because of confidentiality issues. We fought each other as children and teenagers over petty issues. My biological father is his father’s cousin. My best friend is really my cousin because our fathers were brothers. My family members do not really know it. My own biological father was a light skin man. I thought my father was fair skinned just like me. It is going to take God to help me to resolve all of my active issues with each other. We had then the vision of the worst economic crisis the world has ever experienced. Millions of people lamented lost their wealth and power, while those who had been lowered were raised …
This vision seems to be directly related to what I believe to be a great economic depression far greater than any we have experienced recently. The latest financial crisis is only a tremor before what should be a total collapse of the stock market.
And all those shareholders who currently make huge profits on the backs of poor people, good people, are likely to bite the fingers for a long time.
The third angel spoke and said :
