Good Morning Everyone 🙏  God Bless You 🙌 🙏   How are you doing today?  Fine,  I hope.   My name is Anthony Joseph Hopkins and I am from Dayton, Ohio.   I am a Graduate from The University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio.   I have written three books in 23 years.   I have been clean and sober since Wednesday May 2, 1990.  I am an Author and Blogger right now.   I have been writing since 1985.  I want to say that life is what you make of it.  I am saying this because I feel better about myself right now.  Life itself is really good.   I know that I have come a very long way in life.   I used to be an aggressive person from 1990 through 1996.  This occurred when I was a college student years ago. 

Next, I want everyone to please keep me in your prayers and thoughts because I am not feeling well.   I am suffering from Degenerative Bone Disease, Type 2 Diabetes, Glaucoma, and Schizoid Affective Disorder.   I also suffer from Schizophrenia as well as Seizures.   Life is good for me because I am an optimistic person.  I am a person who has a lot of common sense.   I am a person who does not like to argue with anyone anymore.  I am a 58-year-old man who is very intelligent and Gifted.  My grandparents wanted me to become a Preacher or a Minister.

Further, I really wanted to become a Police Officer in the Dayton, Ohio Area.   Instead, I became a Social Worker for a total of 3 years.   I earned my Associates Degree in Social Services Technology from the University of Toledo Community and Technical College at Scott Park.  I am a person who really struggled in school because I had a Learning Disability in College for 5 years. I used to smoke marijuana and Crack Cocaine for 16 years. My mother and grandparents told me to stop smoking marijuana and Crack and I stopped smoking period. 

Moreover, I stopped smoking on January 21, 1990.  I stopped drinking alcohol on Wednesday May 2, 1990.  This was exactly two days before my hernia operation on Friday May 4th 1990.  I stayed with my grandparents for 3 months.  I went to Drug and Alcohol Treatment for another 3 months at the Salvation Army in Dayton, Ohio from June 1, 1990 through September 1, 1990.  After I completed my treatment for drugs and alcohol; I relocated to Toledo, Ohio from September 1, 1990 through June 14, 1996.  I attended the University of Toledo from Monday April 1, 1991 through June 14, 1996.  I used to live at the Toledo Rescue Mission located on Jefferson Street and 20th Street.   I only stayed there for 1 month.

In Addition, I used to live inside of a Crack House for 3 years in North Toledo from 1991 through 1994.  I used to entertain harlots for 5 years.  I caught the Number 24 Bus to class for 3 straight years.   I also worked at the University of Toledo William Carlson Library from December of 1992 through June 14, 1996.  I graduated from the University of Toledo on Saturday June 12, 1993 and on Saturday June 17, 1995.  I earned my Bachelors of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from University College.   During my last 3 years, I worked at the Jerusalem Outreach Center as a Youth Counselor.

Finally, I moved back to the Dayton, Ohio Area for 1 year after graduation.  I got a job working for McDonald’s and Kroger Grocery Store for 1 year.  Afterwards, I moved to the Charlotte, NC area from Sunday June 15, 1997 through January 5, 2010.  While in Charlotte, NC,  I stayed at the Men’s Uptown Shelter from Tuesday June 17, 1997 through Wednesday February 17, 1998.  I was hospitalized 5 times during the time that I was living at the Shelter.   I got signed up for Social Security just to have an income.  I had to walk to all of my AA Meetings and Emotions Anonymous as well.  I moved into my apartment on February 17, 1998 through July 3, 2000.  I was living at Charlottetown Terrace Apartments and I got a job working at the United States Census Bureau for 6 months.  Prior to that I got a job working at First Citizens Bank for 8 months.  I went home for 3 months in Fairborn, Ohio with my sister.  Afterwards, I moved back to Charlotte for 9 years.  I got a job working at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte for 8 years.   After I lost my job, I was hospitalized for a total of 3 months.   The State of North Carolina Probate Courts sent me home for good. 

In Conclusion, I stayed at the Travelers Motel for 6 months.   I remember having four seizures during a 7 month period.   I had a seizure on the Number 4 Bus after I visited my nephew in jail.  A month later I had another seizure at the Vandalia Public Library while I was with one of my relatives.   The following year to the present, I have been living at the Wentworth HI Rise Apartments located on 2765 Wentworth Avenue Apt #607 Dayton, Ohio 45406.  Mom and Patricia died in 2017.  Granny died on Saturday October 19th 2013.  I have went to Charlotte, NC on December 21, 2022 until January 12th 2023.  I am suffering from Diabetes and Alzheimers Dementia.  Life is what you make of it because it has a lot to do with your attitude.  If you have a negative attitude, you will not be able to succeed in life.  I am trying to be transparent for a change because it will help you in the long run.  

In Summary,  I have written three books during a 23 year period.   During the past 4 years, I have written two books and they are called Essays and My Grace is Sufficient for Me.   The Book Publisher is AuthorHouse Publications Company in Bloomington, IN.  Life is what you really make of it because you can be successful if you really want to.   I remember getting Covid-19 on Sunday December 20, 2020 through February 28, 2021.  I do recall getting scammed out of $18,550 dollars in Western Union Funds.  I even got scammed out of money while working at Walgreens Pharmacy and University of North Carolina at Charlotte as well.   I do remember getting evicted 3 times in one year.  My life has truly changed for the better because I am more responsible for paying my bills and rent each month.  My Recovery is my Responsibility!  I do remember getting locked up at Summit Behavioral Health Center in Cincinnati Ohio from November 30, 2011 through February 1, 2012.  I had a total of 6 seizures in 2 months this year.  Thank you for reading my essay.
