GOD CAN USE YOU!! Part 3.

God can use us when we go to Him prayerfully.
It would be really easy to to start whining and complaining to God about the immensity of the challenge of the Great Commission. “There are so many people…there’s so much to do…I’m tired…I want to have some fun…everybody will think I’m a “Jesus Freak”…I’ll be called a fanatic!” Rather than coming to the throne of the Father in gratitude for being used by Him to reach others, our attitudes often become self-centred and petulant. Jesus wants us to go to the throne…prayerfully!

We need to acknowledge that the Harvest is His! Christ is Lord of the Harvest (Matthew 9:38 a). We need to be thankful (Colossians 4:2). We need to be honest when we go to the throne…we should NEVER make excuses or cut ourselves slack (Psalm 145:18 ).

We need to give God thanks for all men (1 Timothy 2:1-2). We should be thankful that He wants to use us to share Christ’s Truth! We should be rejoicing that Christ wants to redeem the lost…and is using us! What an honour! What a responsibility! What a Sacred Trust!

Think about this for a moment. God has more at stake…more to “lose” than we do. What do I mean? If we do not share Christ with our family and friends, they will not accept Him and will condemn themselves for eternity. We have lost those few people. God loves all of His creation. In essence, He loses everyone that rejects Christ’s Saving Grace. How many BILLIONS of people have rejected His love and are suffering in hell even now? How many more will perish because of our apathy?

We should pray for more workers to help (Matthew 9:36b). However, while we are praying we should soldier on and continue spreading Christ’s love and Salvation. No matter how many labourers there may be, God promises that as we spread His Word, it will have effects and shall accomplish that which He pleases (Isaiah 55:11).

Almighty and Everliving God, please place Your urgency within my heart so that I will want to tell as many as possible of Christ. Lead me in the paths You have chosen and fill my mouth with Your words of life. I am Yours to use as You desire. To You be all the praise, honour and the glory now and forever. Amen
