GOD CAN USE YOU!! Part 2. God can use us when we respond to the challenge. In Matthew 9:37 we read: “…The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labours are few;” Why should we complain about the difficulties faced when witnessing to others? When Jesus faced the daunting mission of evangelizing God’s people (a difficult and seemingly overwhelming task in which very few were willing to become involved) He responded with enthusiasm. Christ did NOT respond with defeat or despair…He faced the challenge squarely and enthusiastically. Why? Because of the immense size of the task and because He was doing His Father’s will. The Scripture states in Ecclesiastes 1:9 that “…there is nothing new under the sun.” In Jesus’ time, there was an unbelievably large number of souls to be won…and that is still true today. The world seems to be trying to escape its troubles thru sensual pleasures. The challenge facing today’s believer is leading the unbeliever to LIFE with enthusiasm. Genuine zeal and enthusiasm are necessary to show the joy of the Lord. Unfortunately, there is rampant deception, depression and deep seated fear in the people around us…and they are longing to be accepted and loved as they are…with their idiosyncrasies, problems and foibles. So few “Christians” are willing to respond…to step out of their comfort zone…to “live” victoriously in Christ…to share His message of Redemption. As long as we remember that we are doing the Father’s will and do not add our human expectations into the mix ( as they are often outside of God’s will) then He will be glorified and His Kingdom will increaseGod does NOT want any to perish…therefore, we should feel the same…we should cringe at the thought of someone going to hell…the words of Christ should be flowing from our hearts…the urgency of the situation should cause us to act as there is no more time to waste.Almighty and Everliving God, please open my eyes to see those who are in dire need of Christ’s redemption. Fill my mouth with Your words and open my lips so that I will proclaim Your truth. Please embolden me and give me Your wisdom to reach out to those Your Holy Spirit has prepared. Let me live Your victorious life, and may I know Your smile at the end of the day. To You be all the praise, honour and the glory now and forever. Amen
