Job 8:9 says: For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow.  This is a very interesting Bible verse.  In the NKJV says For we were born yesterday, and know nothing because our days are a shadow.  What this is saying is that we are only a vapor.  Our existence is nothing because we are a shadow.  Therefore, we are just a mere existence.  I am not questioning the Bible itself, but whoever wrote this verse was thinking about Adam and the Garden of Eden.

On another version of the Bible says the same exact thing.  What is the meaning of this Bible verse?  The only thing I can say is that we are just a vapor that only last for a short time.  I thought Job comes from the Land called Uz?  The Land of Uz was an Oriental Country.  The Country of Uz was not explained very well.  As an Oriental Country, Job was Black.  Job was a very intelligent man.  Job had a lot of insight.  When I read the Book of Job, I am saying to myself that the Book was complex.  I really don’t hear any serious commentary on the Book of Job.  When I think of the Country itself, it gives me the impression that only one person was emphasized.  Even though, Jobs friends had a lot to say.  At least these three friends empathize with Job.  Some of the comments were sarcastic.  His friends tried to put themselves in the situation.

I am using Isaiah as an example of what he had to endure by being God’s Servant.  I know if someone put hot coals on human flesh, it will burn quickly.  Some of the things that Job had to endure came from Satan.  In the beginning, Satan asked God whether or not he can torment him.  Frankly, Satan killed Job’s family members on purpose.  Job still served God.  When I think of this Bible verse, it is like we really do not exist.  The only thing we are made of is clay.  If I would have known that I was a vapor, I would have to cherish the moment only in itself.
