The Most Compassionate Sister
By Anthony Joseph Hopkins June 2, 2023

My Sister Patricia Elaine Russell was the most compassionate Sister I know. Patricia was always available whenever I needed her listening Ear!! My sister left this Earth with her head held up high Six years ago.
I know that my sister and I always were very close. Patricia Elaine Russell is looking at me right now. She is saying that I write down everything that I hear or if someone said something a long time ago. Patricia departed from here on Friday June 2, 2017 from a rare blood disease due to kidney dialysis. I really miss my sister because I do not have anyone that
I can relate to, and who has accepted me for all of my faults, issues, and accepted me because I had a mental illness. Patricia Elaine Russell, Please Rest in Heaven because your job has been completed. I promised to watch over your children. Like they say A Mother’s Job is never done. I really miss you very much.

A Most Compassionate Male Cousin. By Anthony Joseph Hopkins June 2, 2023. I remember when I saw my cousin for the very first time. I tried to converse with him, but he used to cry a whole lot. Therefore, I cried right along with him. There was something special

about my male cousin. I knew that as long as he had someone who was willing to listen to him. He would do the same for you. Johnathan was wise before his time. I am saying that because I knew him for the person that he was. I know that Johnathan went through a transformation that is

very hard to talk about. I know that I loved him for Johnathan. When I heard that my cousin died, I cried and cried a whole lot. I knew that whenever he was in town, I would accept him in open arms. May God be with both of you. I just know that I was very close to both of them. Johnathan accepted the

fact that I wrote essays and blogs. I was making Grandma Alice Proud of me. I loved both of them very much. I accepted them for the people that they were. I have not visually seen my cousin Johnathan in over 25 years. I really miss his smile as well as the way he used to dress. I do recall when I was a freshman at Nettie Lee Roth High School in Dayton, Ohio. Johnathan put a relaxer in my head because he wanted me to have straight hair like him. My hair fell out the next day.
Johnathan and I were in NJROTC at Roth High School. Johnathan was named after his father Johnny Lee Hopkins. My Baby Brother is named Johnny Lee Hopkins Russell. He is literally named after Uncle Johnny.
Finally, I want to say that both of them left Planet Earth too early. My Sister was good at raising children. Johnathan and I took classes together and I do remember when he used to become the life of the party. I guess we all did not like our dysfunctional family situation. This is a tribute to two people who I really admired most.
Johnathan was excellent at typing and he was an Orator. My cousin knew how to write extremely well. Patricia knew how to cook food extremely well.
I wanted her to write a Cooking Book and include all of her recipes from the past and present. Patricia cooked better than me. I guess that we all have gifts and talents that God really appreciate. God loves you, and God Bless You All.
Compassion is an essential virtue that we must all strive to embody in our daily lives. The Bible has numerous verses that speak about the importance of compassion and how we should show it to others. Let us review and explore some of the most meaningful Bible verses about compassion.
One of the most well-known verses about compassion is found in the book of Colossians 3:12, which states, “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.” This verse emphasizes that as children of God, we should show compassion to others. The phrase “bowels of mercies” refers to deep, heartfelt compassion, which is a reminder that our compassion should come from a place of genuine care and concern for others.
Another powerful verse about compassion is found in the book of Ephesians 4:32, which reminds us that God has shown us compassion by forgiving us, and we should extend the same kindness to others. We should always be willing to forgive others and show them mercy, just as God has done the same for us.
Compassion is not only about feeling empathy for others but also about taking action to help those in need. James 2:15-16 highlights that it is not enough to merely express compassion without taking action to help those in need. We must be willing to provide tangible assistance to those who are suffering.
In conclusion, the Bible has numerous verses about compassion, which remind us of the importance of showing kindness, mercy, and forgiveness to others. We must strive to embody these virtues in our daily lives and take action to help those in need. Let us remember Colossians 3:12 and put on the “bowels of mercies” and Ephesians 4:32, which encourages us to be kind and forgiving, just as God has been with us.
