Voting Machines vs. Paper Ballots!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a comparison and contrast of the differences between the uses of voting machines vs. paper ballots. First, let’s look at voting machines. What are voting machines? Voting machines are devices that are used by local, county, and state board of election offices. The use of voting machines process ballots much faster than regular paper balloting. Second, paper ballots are used traditionally to pencil in and or circle the choice of candidates on a certified piece of paper that is later tabulated and counted at a later date or immediately after the election.
The differences between the two types of voting practices are that machines process information much faster than those paper ballots that are counted by staff members; who are hired by the county, state, and national board of election offices for only a short term. Finally, in states such as North Carolina, voting machines are used during early voting as well as the general election. Whereas, in the State of Ohio; both voting machines and paper ballots are used during the early voting as well as the general election. Which of these methods are quicker to count votes?
