Life and Communication is very simple. What are we talking about here? Let’s start off by asking ourselves a very important question. What is life and how it relates to communication? Life is what you really make of things while you are living in the present. Life is your existence that you possess. The air that you breathe as well as flesh that you have. Communication is the language that you speak consisting of dialects as well as methods of words that one use to speak. Your voice that comes from your mouth is used as a means of communication itself.

Life and Communication are intertwined. They are go hand in hand. A communication and human relationship is used when men, women, and children share experiences about their lives to each other that make sense. Men, women, and children speak to each other as a means of sending and delivering messages to one another. When it pertains to this subject, our lives are shaped by the way we conduct ourselves others. It is our personality, disposition, and characteristics that we have that makes others either like or dislike you as a person. Life and Communication is not always easy. It is how you live your life that makes you successful inside of your environment or more apt towards failures.

It is not always easy to think that you can obtain everything all in one day.
You will not obtain all that you need in one day. These things take time. All of these things that people who are possessive tend to hold onto their possessions and past will slowly lose it quickly. When one is possessive, they tend to become selfish in their own way. Men have a tendency to become this way especially when they want control and they are afraid of losing something that was already obtained. Men and women share these characteristics when it comes to possessiveness. Women on the other hand, tend to become possessive when it pertains to resources and finances. When it comes to material things, at least some of them, women are apprehensive of losing them very suddenly.

There are some who are reluctant to change their names when they are married. Marriage is not the end of the world ladies. It is a lifetime commitment between your spouse and significant other. Cohabitation on the other hand is a trial period in a relationship between a man and a woman. It is a feeling out process and an evaluation of one another in a relationship. This is done by direct and indirect observation. This is also a decision making process to determine if a man or a woman will be willing to share the rest of their lives with the person that they are living with.
Are you willing to spend the rest of your life with the person that you are cohabitating with? This is a very good question for men and women to ask each other while they are involved in their relationships. Traditional marriage is very serious. This is a lifelong decision that sometimes leads to hardship if a person makes a bad decision while they are cohabitating with their spouse or significant other. All couples will have some good and bad times. It is how you make the best of things through those good and bad times.

Life and Communication is splendid if you have the basis already established beforehand. You will have to examine all of your own resources first before you are able to get involved in any relationship with another person. It also starts off by being honest with each other from the onset. Telling the truth about yourself to another person is a good way of establishing better communication skills with that person that you are willing to share your life with. Always remember that deception inside of a relationship leads to failure. A relationship without trust and honesty from the very beginning leads to trouble.

Men and women must always share the truth to each other no matter what happens in their relationships with each other. Life and Communication also pertains to complete families. This is also shared with children so that they will have a basis to follow in their adult life. When children understand certain concepts about telling the truth and not hiding from others, this will help them to improve in their communication skills with others. Children who are productive and honest have successful lives. This comes from being involved in a healthy family who has healthy relationships.
This comes from learning how to speak to each other in pleasant ways. This also comes from learning how to become honest and truthful. Conflict of Interest comes from those who tend to deny or refuse the existence of others. This comes from anyone who has children or relationships with others and denies it from the very start. A conflict of interest can also come from an interest that is taken out of context. This pertains to businesses and partnerships that are established by others who make agreements and do not keep them. A technicality is something that is meaningful and relevant only in principle.

10 Medications You Should Never Mix With Coffee

If you’re like most Americans, you start your day with a steaming cup of coffee, and head to the bathroom soon after. This is a common effect of caffeine.

Studies show that coffee may stimulate your stomach, changing the time is takes for food to make it through your digestive system.1 However, your morning cup of coffee can also interact with medications you may be taking, and alter how fast those are absorbed into your bloodstream, too. 

That means that drinking coffee at the same time you take your medication may affect how well they work for you. In 2020, a group of researchers reviewed numerous medications and how they were affected by coffee. They reported that coffee “significantly affects the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of many drugs.”2

However, not all medications are affected by drinking coffee. Read on to learn which medications to not mix with coffee, and what to look for.

Thyroid Medicine

If you have hypothyroidism, your thyroid gland-a butterfly shaped gland at the front of your neck-is not producing enough thyroid hormone. This can cause weight gain, dry skin, joint pain, hair loss, and irregular menstrual periods.3

Many people are prescribed levothyroxine or other thyroid medications to help balance out their hormones. Studies show that drinking coffee at the same time as taking your thyroid medication can reduce how much of your medicine is absorbed by your body, making the medicine less effective for you.4 And it’s not a small effect: Patient case reports show that coffee can even reduce the absorption of thyroid medicine by more than half.2  

Cold or Allergy Medication

Medications for colds or allergies are used by millions of people, and they often contain central nervous system stimulants like pseudoephedrin.5 Coffee is also a stimulant, so washing your allergy med down with coffee may increase symptoms like restlessness and the inability to sleep.

Some allergy meds, like fexofenadine should not be taken with coffee as it can overstimulate your central nervous system, increasing the symptoms of restlessness.6 It’s always a good idea to ask your healthcare provider for advice regarding the combination of coffee and cold or allergy medicine.

Diabetes Medication

If you mix your coffee with sugar or milk, that could lead to a spike in blood sugar and impact how well your diabetes medication works. In addition to that, studies show that caffeine may worsen symptoms for people with diabetes.

Drinking anything with caffeine, like coffee, could raise your insulin and blood sugar levels, according to study published by the American Diabetes Association.7 The study was small, so more research is needed, but the researchers warned that drinking too much caffeine could make it more difficult to manage blood sugar, and eventually raise the risk of diabetes complications.

Diabetes and prediabetes are very common in the U.S. and other Western countries. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), over 37 million Americans have diabetes, and nearly 100 million have prediabetes.8 Most people don’t know they have it. With those numbers, it’s no surprise that millions of people take diabetes medications daily.

Alzheimer’s Medicine

Alzheimer’s disease is the seventh leading cause of death in America and mostly affects people over the age of 65. It is a disorder of the brain that results in a loss of cognitive function, making it difficult to think, remember, or go about your daily tasks. Millions of Americans live with Alzheimer’s disease and take medication for  the condition.9

Alzheimer’s medicine, like donepezil, rivastigmine, and galantamine are affected by caffeine. The caffeine in coffee tightens up the blood-brain barrier and can decrease how much of the drug makes it to your brain. Alzheimer’s medications work by protecting the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, and drinking high amounts of coffee has been shown to impair that protective effect.10 

Asthma Medication

Asthma is a chronic disease that affects your lungs, making your airways inflamed and irritated. This results in difficulty breathing, coughing and wheezing, and a tight feeling in your chest. Millions of Americans, both adults and children, live with asthma and take medications for it.11

Many people with asthma take bronchodilators during a flare-up, like aminophylline or theophylline. Bronchodilators work by relaxing the airways, making it easier to breathe, but they come with side effects like headache, restlessness, stomach pain, and irritability.12 Drinking coffee, or other drinks high in caffeine, can increase your risk of these side effects.13 Coffee can also reduce how much of the medication is absorbed and useful to your body.2

9 Medicines for Asthma and Allergies

Osteoporosis Medication

Osteoporosis makes your bones thin and fragile, increasing your risk of bone fracture. Millions of people have osteoporosis and it’s most common in women, especially women who have already gone through menopause.14

Drugs like risedronate or ibandronate prevent and treat osteoporosis and should not be taken at the same time as coffee because it makes the drug less effective. It is recommended that you take these medications before eating or drinking anything, and only wash the pill down with plain water. This will allow your body to maximize the full amount of the medication. When you drink coffee with these types of medications, their effectiveness can be reduced by more than half.15

Antidepressants

According to the CDC, one in 10 teens and adults take antidepressant medications daily. They are the most prescribed drugs for adults in their twenties and thirties, and their use has increased dramatically over the last few decades. They can help with depression, a mood disorder that affects how you feel and function.16

Coffee can affect how your body uses antidepressant medications. Some drugs, like fluvoxamine, amitriptyline, escitalopram, and imipramine can be metabolized differently if you drink coffee at the same time, especially large amounts of coffee. Coffee can reduce the amount of the medicine that is absorbed by your body.2

Studies show that fluvoxamine in particular has been found to enhance the usual side effects of caffeine. This can cause symptoms like insomnia and heart palpitations. It’s best to take your medication and hold off on the coffee for a while.17

When To Switch or Adjust Your Antidepressant for Better Results

Antipsychotic Medicine

Antipsychotic medicines are helpful for people who live with schizophrenia, mania, major depressive disorder, and other mental health problems. Nearly four million Americans use these medications each year. Antipsychotic medications work by inhibiting certain neurotransmitters or blocking receptors in the brain.18

Medications that treat psychosis include: phenothiazine, clozapine, haloperidol, and olanzapine. Coffee can make your body absorb less of these medications than you normally would if you waited a while to enjoy your morning cup of coffee. Studies show that many of these medications are metabolized or broken down by the body differently in the presence of coffee. To get the full effect of your medicine, take it with water instead of coffee.2

Blood Pressure Medicine

According to the CDC, tens of millions of Americans live with hypertension-high blood pressure-and for many, it’s not well controlled. Hypertension increases your risk for heart disease and stroke. It’s a common, but silent disease, since it rarely shows symptoms.19

Many people take blood pressure medications, like verapamil or propranolol, which work by slowing down your heart rate. That means your heart doesn’t have to work as hard to pump blood to all of your body’s cells.

However, drinking coffee at the same time as taking blood pressure medications like felodipine can cause less of the medicine to be absorbed by your body. You may not get the full benefit of the medicine. Talk with your healthcare provider about how to time your pills and your morning cup.2

Melatonin

Melatonin is a natural hormone that your body makes, which helps you feel sleepy at night. The hormone is triggered by the sun going down, signaling to your brain that it’s time to rest. Melatonin is also sold over-the-counter (OTC) in supplement form, and is used as a sleep aid.20 

By contrast, coffee works as a stimulant, making you feel more awake. The caffeine in coffee does the exact opposite job that melatonin does. It can make you more alert and can make it hard to fall asleep. Drinking coffee can inhibit melatonin production in your body and make the hormone less effective. If you take melatonin at the same time as drinking coffee, they could cancel each other out.2 

When To See A Healthcare Provider

If you take any of these medications, and especially if it’s recommended that you take them first thing in the morning, try delaying your first cup of coffee.

If you take more than one medication, talk to your healthcare provider about how to balance out your pills and your coffee. If you are experiencing any unpleasant side effects, like restlessness, jitteriness, or insomnia, your healthcare provider can help you find a solution. 

A Quick Review

Coffee is a stimulant because of its high caffeine content. Between the stimulant effects and its effects on your gastrointestinal tract, coffee can alter how your body breaks down and absorbs your medications. You may just need to change the timing of your coffee break, but if you’re experiencing any symptoms, it’s always a good idea to reach out to your healthcare provider.

The Potter

This is one special blog that talks about God’s very important masterpiece. It is the creation of man and woman. In Isaiah 64:8 it says; Yet you Lord are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; all we are the works of your hand. This means that we are very special to God. In spite of what has happen between Adam and Eve; we are very special. I love this because I know that in my 46 years of existence is that God still loves me. In Genesis, God created man from the dust of the ground blew breath inside of his nostrils and man became a living soul.

When a potter uses its clay, he/she is creating something that is meaningful to them. A potter uses his own hands to work out their own masterpiece. I remember when I was in high school; which was a very long time ago; I was enrolled in an art class. I have created a real nice looking cranberry vase. At first, when I started using the pottery wheel, I will admit, I felt nervous at first. This is because the clay splattered all over the place. Everyone in class was laughing at me; especially the art teacher. As soon as I got used to the pottery itself, it became very simple. I created my vase and I gave it to my grandmother. I also made ashtrays and other things as well.

Next, when it comes to God, He was never nervous as I was in high school. He had intentions for mankind. God wanted the earth populated with all of its creations. God also created woman from the womb of man; by virtue of a deep sleep. A rib was removed from man to create woman. I love what I see on earth myself. I see people, places, animals of all kinds, and I am very satisfied. I have to say that when it comes to the potter and the clay, this has a lot of meaning. This bible verse; when I read it made me cry. This is because of the significance of the verse itself. This bible verse pertains to the creation of man, woman, and every living creature that walks on the face of the earth

Further, whenever I think of the potter and the clay; I will always know that it has a lot to do with the existence of life itself. God is watching us each day of our lives. I will always know that one day in the Holy Bible is 1,000 years. It might mean 24 hours to us in contemporary times, but one day is very significant to all of us. I will know that life itself is only a vapor when it comes to God. The air that we breathe does not belong to us. In Jeremiah 1:5 says that before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. This means that before we are born, God knew us while we were inside of the womb of our mother. At least I will always know my mother. Although, I do not know my father, but I know that my father is God and Jesus Christ.

Finally, when it comes to life itself, it begins inside of the womb. There are others that think that life begins when a child is expelled from the womb of its own mother. This is a small percentage that thinks this way. However, life itself is based on existence, choices, decisions, values, and our personality. When it comes to the human existence, it is important to know that it is based on the principles that God has implemented in the first place. My life right now has changed dramatically. I have been living it through trail and error. I have based my life upon my experiences as well as the choices that I have made. I have a lot of respect and appreciation for life right now. When it comes to the potter and the clay, this is very serious to me as well as all of us. This means that God is still with us throughout our journey.

Essays by Anthony Joseph Hopkins is a compilation of different Bible verses and their meaning to people. The Bible verses were cited from the books of both the Old and New Testaments of the KJV Bible. The interpretation of each Bible verse(s) was the author’s understanding of his experiences. Anthony Joseph Hopkins shared his personal experiences from the time he was an unbeliever until he joined the Christian faith.

In Essays, each verse explained holds a significant value like love, compassion, forgiveness, redemption, maturity, and sundry. But the explanation of the biblical concepts was mainly opinionated rather than factual. I state this because the biblical verses were not properly quoted or not quoted at all in some instances. A reader who does not have access to the Bible would find it difficult to understand this book and might even consider the content false. This does not speak positively about the book.

The author, in many instances, also diverted from the main topic of the writing into irrelevant information. According to the table of contents, these essays were meant to be about how every verse discussed relates to everyone. But the author often centered the discussion on only himself and his experiences.

The author discusses many personal problems in the book, like depression, suicide, and drug and physical abuse. He also shared his challenges in handling finances and relationships. I didn’t have much problem while he discussed he currently has a mental illness known as “schizoid affective disorder.” But in Chapter 17, he seems to have implied some relationships with spirits, and I thought maybe I shouldn’t fully trust his opinions. I wasn’t comfortable. Based on all these, I do not trust the credibility of this writing. The content in this book might create heresy and even imbalance.

In the book, there was a continuous repetition of the chapters’ contents. For instance, in a chapter composed of six paragraphs, six of them were repeated about four times in the same chapter. This was not done once but in several chapters. Also, the grammatical and typographical errors in the book were many. The excessive use of exclamation marks is one of the many errors in the book. Except in informal writing, the exclamation mark is to be used once, after a sentence. But in this writing, the exclamation mark was exaggerated and overused.

My rating of Essays is one out of four stars. I do not recommend this book to any specific audience. But any interested reader can find it suitable to learn something new about the Christian faith.

Phishing is absolutely wrong. Nowhere in its concept is it morally or ethically right and there are many laws against it. It is very wrong to go and trick someone into something especially with some who is not very familiar with computers. It is almost as if you are taking candy from a baby, it is not hard to do it, but they can often not do anything about it. Phishing targets people who have very little information or knowledge about computers and sucks them into giving them information, which is then accessed and used. It is human nature to feel bad for someone who is being taken advantage of, and often we do what we can to help them. Just because someone has little knowledge about something doesn’t mean someone should be able to take advantage of them and trick them into do something they would otherwise not do. Phishing is wrong, and anyone who is caught phishing should suffer consequences.

I want to inform everyone that over 1,000,000 websites are utilized by computer hackers each day. I was online using my Mocospace account early this morning and suddenly, I came across someome who I perceived as a woman chatting with me. It looked suspicious because when I looked on her profile, I found out that she was not logged on to the website. Usually, whenever a person is logged on to Mocospace, a green dot appears right next to their name. This occurred around 12:30AM. I checked the female’s profile, and it has been confirmed that she was not logged on to the site. She logged onto the website yesterday. I felt baffled and confused because I always thought that these women would be online. It turns out that the profile was hacked. Some tips that I have to offer all of you are as follows: Always check for the green dot to see if the person is officially on the website. Second, examine the profile to see how long the person was logged off. This is pertaining to mocospace. As far as Blackplanet.Com is concerned, always check the profile to see how long they have been logged off or on. On the average, most of the female profiles are hacked online because the hackers themselves usually go undetected. Most of the countries that have this kind of activity is Africa, India, Jamaica, Cuba, Brazil, Kenya, Nigeria, and London England. Most of your hackers are usually between the ages of 18-35. There are a very small percentage of the profiles that the hackers have are cloned. They are duplicated and the pictures themselves are copied by the hackers themselves. Hackers have a tendency to prey on innocent men who are online between the hours of 9:00PM-6:00AM. Most of the activity occurs between the hours of midnight and 5:00AM. Computer hackers who are living in other countries have a 7 to 12 hour start on Americans who are online. The time change makes the difference. When I got scammed 4 years ago, I did not know it. The scammers were using women’s profiles on Blackplanet, Yahoo, Facebook, and Twitter. Some of your computer hackers use profiles of younger women between the ages of 18-40. The profiles themselves are randomely selected. This is serious because an average man would think that he is talking to his female or male friend; when they are talking to a computer hacker and data thief. Data thieves usually collect social security numbers of innocent people and as soon as your information is online, it is collected from the website and in some cases, a third party. I am happy that they have Bible verses that pertain to my situation. In most cases, it is best to examine the information.

In Relation to the Bible:
“Thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘Execute true justice, Show mercy and compassion Everyone to his brother. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, The alien or the poor. Let none of you plan evil in his heart Against his brother.”
Zechariah 7:9-10
This verse from Zechariah explains how we as people, not just Christians, should treat other people around us daily. God is telling us that we should be respectful and be truthful in the things we do in our daily lives. Not only should be true to others, but to ourselves as well. In that sense, phishing is not correct by any means based on this passage.
Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. “Be angry, and do not sin” : do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.
Ephesians 4:25-28
