Consumer Debt and The Holy Bible

What Does the Bible say about Debts?

Good Day Everyone!!  How are you doing today?  Fine, I hope.  I want to inform all of you to please read Deuteronomy 15:1-20.  It talks about Consumer Debt.  Consumer Debt is a very serious problem because there are millions of people who are in debt right now.  To be perfectly frank with everyone, the United States Government is trillions of dollars in debt right now.  I know because Cable News Network News mention it on a daily basis.  News Nation talks about Politics and how it causes people to mistrust in the Federal Government.

I know that I am in debt.  It is all my fault that I am in debt.  To be honest, there are over 100,000 or more people who have an issue with student loan debts.  I am trying to get my loans cancelled.  I am making a statement because I am not the only one who owes student loan debt.  If you want to read the Bible about Consumer Debt; Please read the Bible.  It talks about every issue known to mankind.

Deuteronomy 15

King James Version

15 At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release.

And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the Lord’s release.

Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release;

Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the Lord shall greatly bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:

Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.

For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.

Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the Lord against thee, and it be sin unto thee.

10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

12 And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee.

13 And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty:

14 Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith the Lord thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.

15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

16 And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;

17 Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.

18 It shall not seem hard unto thee, when thou sendest him away free from thee; for he hath been worth a double hired servant to thee, in serving thee six years: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest.

19 All the firstling males that come of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt sanctify unto the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy bullock, nor shear the firstling of thy sheep.

20 Thou shalt eat it before the Lord thy God year by year in the place which the Lord shall choose, thou and thy household.

21 And if there be any blemish therein, as if it be lame, or blind, or have any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the Lord thy God.

22 Thou shalt eat it within thy gates: the unclean and the clean person shall eat it alike, as the roebuck, and as the hart.23 Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.

The Word of God

The Word of the Lord

This is an essay that pertains to the Word of the Lord. What is the Word of the Lord? The Word of the Lord is very pure, precious, gentle, and true. According to Ephesians 6:17: And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. The Word of the Lord applies to all of us. For example, when I think of the Word of the Lord, I think of John 1:1 which states that in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.

In Psalms 19:10; it states that the Word of the Lord is more to be desired are like gold sweeter also than honey. The first thing I do before reading the Word of God is pray. I ask God to give me the wisdom, knowledge, and the ability to interpret His glorious word.

I thank Him for also talking to me by the words of His glorious book, which is the Bible. Next, I want to inform all of you that the Word of God heals my soul. Whenever, I hear the words, I am healed from all of my pain. The Lord also knows my name. The things in my life have never been the same, since I read His word. This is simply because a change is coming. The word of the Lord has been spoken for over 2000 years. These words are the same yesterday, today and forever. I enjoy reading the Bible because it helps me to understand everything that I am going through will only last for only a period of time.

Moreover, the Word of the Lord is everlasting to everlasting because it will never change. It gives me the tools that I need to change my overall behavior. I will admit that I had to bump my head a few times in order to get my life right. The Word of the Lord brings simplicity out of my life. It makes my life much easier when I am reading God’s Word.

The above Bible verse means that God will always give me safety and refuge from all wickedness. Proverbs 16:24 says pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healthy to the bones. The Word of the Lord is delicious to the taste, and it delights my soul and spirit. Psalms 19:9 says the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. This means that everything that comes out of the Bible is the truth. There are over 5,500 promises inside of the Bible.

Moreover, when the Lord says something, He really mean it. The Lord is good to everyone. The Lord tells us how good He really is all of the time. The Word of the Lord is amazing and powerful. I have to say that after reading Hebrews 4:12, I can say that God really understand us extremely well. He knew us while we were inside of our mother’s womb.
He even knows how long we are going to live. The lord is very nice and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.

Hebrews 4:13 says neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. This is one of my spiritual gifts because I am gifted in revealing to others about the Lord. The Word of the Lord gives me the ability to share with other fellow believers and others my personal story. God’s Word helps me to understand everything that is going on in my personal life as well as with everything else. The Word of the Lord gives me knowledge, truth, and wisdom. I am willing to share His Word with everyone that I come in contact with. My primary intentions are to comfort and encourage others to rely on God for all of their needs.

It is my desire to write this essay in order to enlighten as well as provide everyone with a sense of peace and serenity in their lives. I love all of you very much. Please take care of yourselves. May the God of Peace be with you? I would like to end this essay by reciting the Serenity Prayer. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change; courage to change the things that I can, and give me the wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at time, enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardship as the pathway to peace. Taking as He did this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it. Trusting that He will make things right, if I surrender to your will. That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen!!

Today is a blessed day

Good Afternoon Everyone! How are you doing today? Fine I hope. I would like to start things off by saying Thank you Jesus for allowing me to wake up today. I thank you Jesus for keeping me alive today. I thank you Jesus for the opportunity to share my experience, strength, and hope with everyone.

Next, I want to inform all of you that I have been typing my autobiography. It is called The Life and Times of Anthony Joseph Hopkins from Dayton, Ohio. It is a book about my life from the beginning of life to the present day. So far, I have typed the first 46 pages. I am giving all of you an update. My autobiography will have everything about my life including pictures of myself.

Further, I want to say that my life has been a journey. I am giving everyone a honest account of my life. I will admit that I have made some serious mistakes. I will have pictures of my report cards. I will have some comments from my friends and family members in the book. I am sharing my life with all of you.

Moreover, I want to thank you Jesus for keeping me alive from the times that I have sustain some injuries. I want to thank God and His Son Jesus Christ for being there with me. I am a very nice person. I am a person who has been through some adversity. Today is a blessed day because I am willing to share my life with you. I am blessed because I have a large family. I’m happy to help people without asking for anything in return.

In Addition, I want to inform all of you that I am a born again Christian Man. I love to read my Bible each day. My life has some ups and downs. My life has changed since my mother died. I have grown accustomed to talking to my family. I want to inform all of you that I have people that I can talk to about my problems.

Today is a blessed day because I am able to use my five senses. I am able to breathe God’s Air. I am a very good person. I might not be perfect, but I am still here to share my story. According to James 4:14, it says as follows: whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is a vapor that it appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Our life consist of dust, clay, and air.

Finally, I want to say that today is a blessed day because I have another chance to share the Gospel of Peace with everyone. I am still here to share my life with all of you. We breathe God’s Air because we are His Temple. The church is inside of us. As long as we bear the Holy Spirit, God is inside of us. God Bless You? I love all of you. Please have a nice day.

My Soul Pant for the Lord

My Soul Pants for the Lord!!

This is an essay that I really love the most. Psalms 42:1 state as the deer pants after the water brook, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul at this time will always crave for you Lord. There was a period of time when I used to crave for marijuana and other mind-altering substances from 1972-1990. I prayed to God on May 2, 1990 at 7:00PM to remove my desire to smoke marijuana, crack, and alcohol. I was sincere in my prayers to God because I was tired of being sick and tired of the high cost of low living.

Next, I want to inform everyone that I no longer have a desire to smoke marijuana and drink alcohol. I really feel good about myself because I do not connect with people from my past anymore. I want to inform everyone that a hart is a deer. My soul desires to hear the voice of God every day of my life. I want to inform everyone that I am praying to God every single day in order my nieces and nephews could stop drinking alcohol.

Also, I want to say that my soul pants for the Lord because I want better things for myself. I want to say that this Bible verse really enables me to get things together. I want to inform everyone that my life has changed for the better. I have a real job right now. My soul thirst for the Almighty God. My soul craves the Lord every single day because I have new objectives for my life.

Further, I want to say that my soul craves the Lord because I belong to Him. My destination is heaven because I have made the right amends for the Lord. I pray every single day of the week. I write inside of my journal all of the time. I also apologize to people that I have hurt in my past. There are some of my family members who have not made amends to me personally. I have to forgive others when they continue to wrong me. I will admit that I had done wrong for over 35 years. I have been clean and sober since May 2, 1990. I am very proud of myself for remaining clean and sober in spite of all of my personal problems.

Moreover, I want to say that my soul still desires for the Lord each and every single day of my life. My Spirit is clean right now. I am still powerless over people, places, and things. At least according to Alcoholics Anonymous on page 417 Acceptance A.A. Big Book – Acceptance is the answer to ALL of my problems today.

When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing or situation- some fact of my life- unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing, or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment. Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens in God’s world by mistake. Until I could accept my alcoholism, I could not stay sober; unless I accept my life completely on life’s terms, I cannot be happy. I need to concentrate not so much on what needs to be changed in the world as on what needs to be changed in me and in my attitudes.

Also, I want to say that when it comes to dealing other people, I have to make direct amends and pray for them as well as be there for them in all ways possible. I really have changed a whole lot since 1990. I will admit that I might have a mental illness, but God loves me.

God got my back. My soul pants for the Living God every single day because He is willing to help me out of any situation. I want to say that everyone should have their soul thirst after Him for the rest of their life. My soul craves for the Holy Spirit that is inside of me to help me to do the right things every day of my life. I have to try to still resolve all of my issues with other people that I have not seen in a great number of years. I love the Lord God so much that it is He who gives me His breath of life. My soul thirst for the Lord God because this world is changing so fast. I will always need His help for as long as I live.

Finally, I want to say that I am a changed man. My soul thirst for more knowledge and wisdom from the Living God. I love Him so much that I am willing to do the right things in my personal life. I will say that I strive for spiritual progress rather than spiritual perfection. Only one person was perfect and that is Jesus Christ. My job is to share the Gospel with others who are not saved. I am living the Great Commission. I love everyone!! I know that I am a mortal man, who have a lot of common sense. I am a man who has a lot of knowledge and experience from living life.

In Conclusion, I want to say that I love everyone who I am in contact with. I am willing to do without money just to help out other people. I know that my mother, grandmothers, aunts, and uncles taught me how to become a person who shows unconditional love towards others. I will admit that there was a time when I was very angry at those who hurt me in the past. Right now, I pray for the same people who hurt me.

Proverbs 22:7 And What it means to all people.

Proverbs 22:7; And What It Means to all People!!!!  By Anthony Joseph Hopkins March 11, 2022

Good Day Everyone!!  I have a very important question to ask everyone.  Is it true that the borrower is servant to the lender?  The answer to this question is yes.  I am saying that because the borrower borrows money, and the lender lends money to everyone.  The only difference is that a borrower has to pay interest on the money that is borrowed from the lender.

For Instance, I borrowed $3,600 dollars to enroll in classes at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte on Monday August 23, 2003 for the Fall Semester.  The loan itself is a Jamison Loan.  The interest rate on the loan is 6%. To be honest with everyone, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte has a law stating that if a student is enrolled in any College and University in the State of North Carolina, they will have to have their immunization shots in advance before you enroll in class.

Next, I want to inform all of you that I still maintained my job at the University of NC Charlotte.  I had to do something.  I wanted to earn my master’s degree in Social Work at the University at the time.  I only wanted to do something constructive in my life.  According to the United States Bankruptcy Court, all student loan debts are not accepted into Bankruptcy Court.  Any student loan must be paid back to a collection agency or the school that a student had enrolled in at that time.

Moreover, I tried to file for Bankruptcy with my student loan debt a few years ago.  I got rejected!!  The Trustee at the Bankruptcy Court told me in my face that my student loans are not eligible for bankruptcy.  I am paying a total of $100.00 dollars per month on my student loan debts.  I have to do something positive to make money.  My student loan debt is a total of $28,850 dollars.  I am a prime example of a borrower that is servant to the lender.  The Borrower is myself and the Lender is the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Finally, I want to inform all of you that it is true that the borrower is servant to the lender.  This is a fact of life.  You have people who charge interest on the money that you borrow from them.  The interest is usually .25 Cents on a dollar.  There is such thing as a dollar on a dollar interest.  This is the reason why I do not borrow any money from civilians.  I do not borrow money from anyone.  I have learned a valuable lesson.

Please do not let your interest on the money that you borrow be more than the principle amount.  For 19 years, I did not pay my student loans because I did not have a job.  I do not have a job right now.  I am receiving Social Security Disability each month.  I still have to pay my tithes to my church and my student loan interest each month.  This is the truth because it will take me 25 years to pay my student loan debt off.  I am not eligible for any loans or anything on credit.

Is It True that God Knows How Long We are going to live?

Is it True That God knows How Long We Will Live?

This is an essay that will focus on the importance of how long man will live. I would like to start things off by asking a question. Is it true that God knows how long we will live? The answer to this question is not very easy to respond. However, according to Psalms 139:16 it says your eyes saw my substance being yet unformed. And in your book, they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.

Next, I did not know that God knows how long we are going to live according to His word. This is very unusual because I thought that if we take care of ourselves and modify our lifestyle, we can live long on earth. Jeremiah 29:11 says for I know the plans that I have toward you. Plans to prosper and a purpose. Some translations states that for I knows the thoughts that I have towards you, plans to prosper and a purpose. I really did not take things seriously regarding my life until May 2, 1990. I started praying to God for a complete change in my personal life.

Further, I want to inform all of you that it was not very easy for me growing up in Dayton, Ohio. This is because I used to get beaten up by my sister, and other kids in school. I know that I fought everyone for 28 years. I even fought myself. I just did not realize that the Bible has over 6,000 promises that are very true. Anyway, I did not even know that God knows when we are going to see Him personally.

Psalms 56:8 says; You number my wanderings, put my tears into Your bottle; are they not in your book? This means that God knows exactly what we are doing at all times. This also means that God knows where we are going and when we rise in the morning. He even knows the people that we are going to be with today. God even knows so much about us that we cannot even understand it.

Job 27:3 says; As long as my breath is in me, and the breath of God in my nostrils. Honestly, the things that we have as far as possessions are concerned, are worldly. The air that we breathe does not belong to us. God Bless You!! Thank You for reading my essay.

A Double Portion

Is This True? Are We All Inside of His Hands?

By Anthony Joseph Hopkins

I have a very important question to ask everyone.  Are we all inside of God’s Hands?  The answer is yes! I am saying this because it is God who is doing for us more than we are doing for ourselves.  I know that according to Proverbs 20:24 says a person’s steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand their own way?  It is God that is doing the work for all of us in our personal lives.  I will admit that I used to question God all of the time when I was a whole lot younger.  Currently, at the age of 56, I am keeping my mouth shut because God has a way of disciplining mankind for disobedience.  I want to inform everyone that I used to use God Name in vain all of the time.  This is simply because I was a very angry person growing up.

Further, I used to question my own authority figures each and every single time that I was intended to do something for them.  I always asked why, who, how, when and what all of the time.  To be perfectly honest in Proverbs 20:20 says if a man curses his father or mother, his lamp will be snuffed out in pitch darkness.  This is not a laughing matter because God can discipline you for the rest of your entire life, simply because a child has totally disrespected their parents.  To be perfectly honest with all of you, we are all inside of God’s Hands.

In Addition, It is God’s unfailing love that he has for all of us that He provides us mercy.  The definition of the word mercy is undeserved favor for someone or something.  To be released from punishment.  I feel that God is giving all of us a second chance as long as we repent of our sins.  I feel at this time that God has cancelled all of my debt and sins because I am constantly repenting all of the time.  Do you know that each day of our lives, we commit sin?  It is not very easy to let go of our sinful nature.  It has to be done in order for each and every last one of us to receive divine forgiveness.

Moreover, I want to tell everyone that I am writing this blog to let everyone know that God will continue to bless you as long as you are living according to His Word.  I have to make direct amends with my family members for the things that I have done wrong towards them and others.  My A.A Sponsor told me a very long time ago that I must make amends in order to set things right with God.  I have an opportunity to make direct amends with everyone in my life.  I will admit that I have not been a perfect child growing up.  I have been very mischievous and sinful.  I am very sorry for injuring others and myself all because I wanted to gain something from each person.  I will admit that I was selfish, egotistical, and a self-righteous person.  If I was not right in anything that I have done, then I would get angry and upset as well.

Finally, I want to tell all of you that I have a very long way in my Christian Walk because I have been robbing God in tithes and offerings to the church.  I read the Bible every single day, and I am still a sinner.  God has healed me from all of my sins, iniquities, and transgressions.  I am still a Work in Progress just like everyone else.  I am taking things day by day.  I am clean and sober because I have been court ordered to A.A and other support groups.  I am very sorry for disappointing God, Jesus Christ, others, and myself.  Please continue to keep me in your prayers.  Thank You for reading my blog.

How Can We Become Doers of The Word?

By: Anthony Joseph Hopkins

Praise The Lord Saints!!  Praise The Lord!!  How are you doing today?  Fine, I hope.  I want to ask everyone a very important question.  The question is: How can we become doers of the word?

The answer to this question is simple.  We have to have both a behavioral change as well as a spiritual change within ourselves.  I know for me personally, I have changed a whole lot behaviorally and spiritually right now.  For example, I do not use any vulgarity anymore.  An example of this is in Proverbs 15:1 says: A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up strife.

This is my model Bible verse because it enables me to actually think before I act on all things.

Next, I want to ask how we can become doers of the word.  First, we need to establish a relationship with Jesus Christ.  I have to accept Jesus Christ as my Personal Savior.  How can we all do this; is by confessing our sins to Jesus Christ.  I know that I am only a Work in Progress.

What is a Work in Progress?  A work in progress is an unfinished project that is still being added to or developed. “The book itself is still a work in progress” (in accounting) the total value of the materials and labor for unfinished projects. “The board had estimated the value of its work in progress”. What does it mean to be a work in progress?

Work in Progress. Being a work in progress is a wonderful thing. It means you are never “finished” which means that you always have the chance to improve yourself and become something and someone better than who you are already.

Further, I want to inform all of you that my life has changed for the better because it enables me to imitate Jesus Christ.  I also have to read His Word and share the Gospel of Peace with everyone.  I also help others as well.  I have always helped others by sharing with them the things that Jesus Christ has done for me.

I also give things away that I do not need.  I humble myself each day of the week by being honest as a person.  I demonstrate how to become a doer of the word by my actions.  I feel at this time that listening to worship music and church sermons have enabled me to be a doer of the word.  I know that it is a whole lot more to it than that in order to become a doer of the word.

Moreover, a doer of the word is a person who lives according to the Word of God.  I have come so far in my life by improving my relationships with other people.  I know that my life has changed because I wanted to make some positive changes in my life. God likes it when we can keep a very good attitude about life, our relationship with Jesus Christ, and connecting with others in a positive manner.

“Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.  For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;  for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”
James 1:21-25

 1. Prepare your heart and be open.

It’s so easy to get into the daily Bible grind and never, once, truly pounce on what we’re learning or reading: get up, pour a cappuccino (or three), personal devotional of  fifteen minutes, write down some thoughts, put Bible on shelf, carry on with the morning . . . is this really what we limit ourselves and God to? Are we missing out on multiple opportunities because we haven’t prepared our hearts to be open and receptive? Shy away from a daily spiritual grind, seek God for opportunities to become a doer and invest in the lives of those around you.

2. Be willing and available.

Part of extending your hands in compassion and love is actually having a willing heart. Unfortunately, having a heart willing for love and sharing the Gospel isn’t just an “on/off” switch. It has to be transformed and cultivated by the same Gospel. If you are serious about becoming a doer and an action man/woman, pray for a willing heart.

We all know that person, or perhaps we are that person, who has great intentions of ministering to others, but is far too busy with a complex schedule to be available.  There could be any number of reasons for a lack of availability, but I think we’re all thankful that Jesus didn’t turn away the paralyzed or the ill because of a conflicting schedule or a lack of availability.

Such an attitude might have caused trauma to His ministry—so if you’re serious about Christ and your serious about acting upon your faith—make yourself available. Reach out and mean it—don’t just say it. If you offer to meet a struggling peer for coffee to talk, do it. If you see someone in need, address the problem or find the right person to address the problem (i.e. pastor, carpenter, doctor).

3. Prepare to be uncomfortable.

Just know that being a doer can be difficult, confusing, unpleasant, and uncomfortable. It can mean getting messy, seeing the side of people that is unpleasant, experiencing sadness, seeing the dirt and the sins of humanity, and become all too aware of our personal shortcomings. I’ll never forget the first time I was never more aware of my ever growing list of shortcomings. Often, while doing Kingdom work our capacity of comfort, faith, and humility are tested—it’s like a game of Survivor with an eternal focus. We have to become prepared to be uncomfortable in some shape or form, but not allow it to deter us from carrying on in faith. However, there are great joys and luminous revelations while being a doer, but we must be prepared to hold out for those moments while in the midst of being uncomfortable.

 4. Don’t wait.

Being doers can mean traveling across the globe to extend compassion and the love of Jesus or it can mean traveling to your backyard to the neighbor who is battling cancer. It’s not about the distance, it’s about the Message. Location isn’t relative, the issue at hand is that we are demonstrating compassion and spreading the Gospel. We’re called to share Christ’s love and we’re called to glorify Him (Matthew 28:19). We’re called to care. We’re called to protect, defend, and care for the defenseless, the poor, and the abandoned. It doesn’t matter where.

Demonstrating love and compassion can be done right now—the opportunities are limitless. We live in a world of darkness, just take a look around and be stunned by the abundant opportunities that await you.

Being a doer starts in the home. It starts in the work place. It starts in the Church. It starts with relationships. It starts with the grumpy neighbor, disgruntled cashier, or the unpleasant individual who just stole my parking spot (while I had my blinker on, I might add!). It starts here. Compassion starts now. If we think that we have to travel overseas to extend compassion or love, I’m afraid that we’re missing out multiple opportunities that are staring us right smack in the face.

People are people. We all need the same thing, we all need Jesus desperately. You can make a difference here, and you can make a difference there. It’s not really relative to where you are geographically, God’s love and compassion needs to be spread just as much in Baltimore City as it does in India. His love needs to be spread in a nursing home just as much as it does in an orphanage. Don’t wait for an opportunity, just because you don’t think it’s the opportunity you would choose. Don’t become discouraged when you feel like your impact isn’t as great as you would hope—it’s not about us. It’s about Him. Don’t waste an opportunity to become a doer out of pride—take a leap of faith.

5. Listen and love.

Be a hearer and a doer. It’s far easier said than done, but it’s a goal worth aiming for. Many of the people I know have come to Christ from visually seeing the works of Christians in action. We can talk all day long using Christianese and spiritual terms, but until there is evidence in our lives that we mean what we say, we might find we have trouble connecting with others in an effective manner. Become amazed at how God can work in your life when you give Him a heart ready for action.

1st Thessalonians 5:19

1st Thessalonians 5:19 and what it means to All People?

By: Anthony Joseph Hopkins/ March 6, 2020

Praise the Lord Saints!!  Praise the Lord Everyone!!  How are you doing today?  Fine, I hope.  I would like to ask everyone a very important question.  What does 1st Thessalonians 5:19 Mean?

The word quench means to put out as of a fire.  The word quench also means to drown.  I want to say that for 18 years, I was solely responsible for quenching my Holy Spirit by drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana.  I am beginning to realize that my Holy Spirit, which is inside of me, is very important.  It enables me to know the truth from Jesus Christ.  I will admit that I was hearing voices that were not the Holy Spirit for the past 10 years.

Next, I want to inform all of you that it is not very easy hearing voices that are not the Holy Spirit.  This actually means that you are losing your mind.  I know that; the voices that I have heard for 10 years were principalities, and powers.  I know that I was not aware that I was hearing voices.

I know that it is not very easy hearing something that consists of curse words, and other vulgarities that are from an unknown spirit.  I know that this is not very easy to deal with right now.  During the time that I was involved in active addiction, I was putting out the Spirit’s Fire.  I know that I still have a whole lot to learn.  I still have a very long way to go in my Christian Walk right now.

Further, I want to say that I love people.  I love everything that God has created with His Word.  Everything was spoken from the Mouth of God.  He even knew my own existence.  He knew me when I was inside of my Mother’s womb.  He knows everything about me more than man himself.

If someone tells you that they know all about you, they are telling a lie.  If this person knew me, then, they would actually know my own existence.  Back to the subject at hand, I was smothering my Holy Spirit by drinking beer and wine on a daily basis for 18 years.

Moreover, I want to inform all of you that my life has not been very easy growing up in the streets of Dayton, Ohio.  My mother and my stepfather used to drink alcohol on a daily basis.  I did not know any better because I actually started drinking at an early age.  My own family members do not even know exactly what I was doing at the time.  I have kept things to myself.  I rarely drunk anything in front of my younger siblings.  I did not like for my nieces and nephews to drink alcohol.

In Addition, I was responsible for quenching my Holy Spirit by drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana.  This is the truth because I graduated from high school 3 years late.  I was solely responsible for being a Juvenile Delinquent.  I will admit that I was anti-social by all means.  At that time, from 1979 -1986, I was very anti-social.  I was a follower of the streets.  I did whatever the world was doing.  I am telling the truth because I do not want my nieces and nephews to follow my footsteps in life.

Also, I want to inform all of you that I earned bad grades in school.  I really hated math.  I hated authority.  I want to inform all of you that my nieces and nephews are following my footsteps.  Therefore, this message is for them.  This message is for everyone who is living in darkness by choice.  It is not very easy for people to attend church, and adhere to the New Covenant.  I know that there a million of people are getting tattoos and piercings on their bodies.  This is very sad!!  God does not like it when we defile and destroy our own bodies.

Finally, the Holy Spirit is very important to all of us.  The Holy Spirit that is inside of all of us, is solely responsible for helping us.  The Holy Spirit is not supposed to be quenched over our own foolishness.  Please take care of yourselves.  God loves you and so do I.

Faithfully Submitted,

Anthony Joseph Hopkins

I also will admit that I am sinful flesh, but I am still a Child of God.  I want to ask another question.  Matthew 22:14 states that for many are called, but a few are chosen.  What does this Bible verse mean?  I would like to receive both positive and negative feedback on this question.

Next, I would like to continue pondering on this question about Matthew 22:14.  Do anyone know what does this Bible verse mean?  The answer to this question is that God has called all of us to do according to His Will.  I begin to realize that God still loves us for who we are as people.  He only wants us to repent of all of our sins.  He wants all of us to live for Him.

The Lord is slow to anger, and is abounding with grace.  I understand that the First 144,000 are going to be considered.

Moreover, I want to inform everyone that we all still have a chance to be His chosen people.  When it comes to being called by God, it gives me an opportunity to live for him and serve Him.  This means that I must become Christ-like in my manner of living and completely change.  I have dedicated my life for Him by writing and sharing my personal testimony with others.  I am at the realization that I still have more to do for Him.  For Instance, I have to make amends with everyone that I have wronged in my personal life.

In Addition, I have to be willing to forgive every one of all of their trespasses.  I have to be willing to share His word with others.  I have to commune with the assembly of the Saints.  I have to dedicate myself to reading His word to everyone.  I have to have an intimate personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ.  Therefore, I want to say that my relationship with Jesus Christ is very important to me right now.  I want to inform everyone that I am willing and ready to work out my salvation with fear and trembling.

Further, I want to say that my favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 32:27 which states; behold I am the Lord, the God of all flesh, is there anything too hard for me?  God asked Jeremiah the Prophet this question in the Old Testament.  I want to say that my life has done a complete 180 degree turn because I do not have a desire for the things of the world.  I am ready to go back to work and earn a decent wage.  If the Lords Will, I will seek employment somewhere within the next 6 months.

Finally, I want to say that I have given up the street life.  I have been clean and sober for 28 years right now.  My sobriety date is May 2, 1990.  I have given up the high cost of low living.  As it relates to the question at hand, I feel that I am ready to step up to the plate and become a real man.  I am ready to share the Gospel with everyone that I meet personally.  I also want to inform everyone that on February 15, 2015, I have rededicated my life to Jesus Christ.  I have been baptized on that day, and a total of 8 other times.  I am in the Lambs Book of Life right now, and I have a record of baptism in several churches.

In Conclusion, I want to say that I am a Born Again Christian and I really feel that I am chosen by God to serve Him and share my personal testimony with everyone.  I am guilty of robbing God of my tithes and offerings.  I have to submit my income to God.  I am very sorry for placing emphasis on my household rather than giving to God.  Please pray for me because I have too many bills to pay in my household.  I have a student loan from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte that is in collections right now.

Is it True that we are inside of God’s Hands?

Is This True? Are We All Inside of His Hands?

By Anthony Joseph Hopkins

I have a very important question to ask everyone.  Are we all inside of God’s Hands?  The answer is yes! I am saying this because it is God who is doing for us more than we are doing for ourselves.  I know that according to Proverbs 20:24 says a person’s steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand their own way?  It is God that is doing the work for all of us in our personal lives.  I will admit that I used to question God all of the time when I was a whole lot younger.  Currently, at the age of 52, I am keeping my mouth shut because God has a way of disciplining mankind for disobedience.

Good for you Anthony! I myself still have a long way to go in my own walk of faith! We all are not perfect!I was, and still a work in progress! I shy away from the rooms of recovery. But our former sponsor would want me to remain there! As you know. I can’t wait to get my Basic Text! And look forward to hear from you! Conti
