What Does It Means to Make Amends?

What does it mean to make amends with God and others?

Hello Everyone!! I hope that everyone is having a good day today.  I would like to start this off by asking a very important question.  What does it mean to make amends with God and others?  An amends is when someone apologizes for a wrongdoing and change the behavior afterwards.  For instance, when a person commits a wrongdoing, a person is supposed to confer with God first and foremost.  Afterwards, repent for your sins and forgive yourself in the process.  Afterwards, you are supposed to apologize with anyone that you have done wrong to.  Saying I am sorry is really not enough.  You have to change your behavior for the better.

An example of this is when I told my family members about my brother’s problems, without asking him first.  Some would say that I am a backbiter or a two faced person.  I did not have any business telling my brother’s problems to others.  This is because my brother is getting ready to have a total of 4 children.  I have told him that selling drugs will not pay the bills.  He will have to get a job and keep it for the rest of his life.

To be honest, I do not have any children because I know that I can barely take care of myself.  Therefore, I would prefer not to have sex with any woman, until we get married.  I would prefer to have a friendship with everyone, man or woman.  This is what I am supposed to do for the rest of my life.  An amends is when you are supposed to admit to your mistake, ask for forgiveness, rectify the wrong, and eventually change the behavior.  It takes a very long time to modify a specific behavior, and change it for the better.  I know that in my case, my family members are not the forgiving type of people.

I have to ask God to intervene in this matter.  There are a few of my friends, who would rather not have anything to do with you.  When that happens, that is it and it is final with some people.  Some people do not know how to make amends with anyone, or with God the Father.  I also want to inform everyone that I have a brother right now that I really have not spoken to in 24 years.  It hurts me because he does not want anything to do with me.  It is his fault for calling me a female dog at my Great Grandmother’s funeral on August 19, 1994.

It hurts me because I have to be the better person by apologizing to my brother for fighting him.  He did not understand that my Great Grandmother raised me, while my mother was being treated for Post-Partum Depression.  It also hurt me when my own father died.  I was not notified about him or his death.  I asked my Aunt, where was I during the time my father died?

I am hurt and devastated because I have not had a chance to resolve any of my active issues with anyone.  Currently, I am puzzled because I have not had a chance to resolve any of my active issues with everyone in my personal life.  I have a cousin who fought me for 9 years.  I am not at the liberty of mentioning his name because of confidentiality issues.  We fought each other as children and teenagers over petty issues.  My biological father is his father’s cousin.  My best friend is really my cousin because our fathers were brothers.  My family members do not really know it.  My own biological father was a light skin man.  I thought my father was fair skinned just like me.  It is going to take God to help me to resolve all of my active issues with each other.  For the moment, my brothers and sisters are not speaking to each other right now.  Please pray for me and my family members because we are not speaking to each other anymore.  Thank you for reading my blog.

The Race is Not For The Swift

The Race is not for the Swift!! Self-Esteem Included!!

This is an interpretation of Ecclesiastes 9:11.  The Bible verse means that we have to persevere and go through personal trials and tribulations for Jesus Christ sake.  I say this is simply because it gives me an opportunity to do what I want in Jesus name.  What is the definition of the word opportunity? The answer to this question is a chance for advancement and improvement.  This also means that I have to maintain my faith in God; in spite of any problems that are in my way as far as obstacles are concerned.

This Bible verse also pertains to everyone.  I know for me personally, I have to maintain myself in terms of dealing with my personal stress that is present in my personal life.  My caretakers, family members, and friends have always motivated me to do anything that in a positive manner.  For Example, when it comes to receiving an education, it is important for me to have a game plan or a plan of action in advance.

Next, I want to say that this Bible verse is not for those who are rich in power or might.  This verse pertains to those who have been oppressed, or those who are low in spirit.  In a way, it reminds me of one of the Bible verses in the Beatitudes in the New Testament.  This Bible verse also gives me a sense of faith and hope in God.  I want to say that I was a person who had a very low self-esteem.  I did not even have any form of confidence in myself.  I became more of a reactive person rather than proactive.

Further, I want to inform everyone that King Solomon had encouraged everyone to have faith in God.  The race is not for the swift reminds of the race between the tortoise and the hare.  The hare did not win the race because he was overconfident.  He ended up taking a break, while the tortoise walked slowly, and he took his time.  Therefore, the tortoise won the race.  This means that we should not give up whatsoever.  God is always there for all of us.

Moreover, I want to say that in the United States, there is a class society.  There is the wealthy, middle class, and the poor.  I know for me personally, I grew up poor.  I am the oldest of my mother’s 9 children.  However, one of my siblings passed away on June 2, 2017.  My sister died from a rare blood disease.  My nieces and nephews lost their mother.  My oldest nephew and I paid for my sister’s funeral.  I have a lot of respect for him.  He made a conscious decision to use of his money to pay for his mother’s funeral.  To all of my family members and friends, I really love all of you.

What Does the Bible say about Self-Esteem?

What does the Bible say about self-esteem?

Self-esteem has to do with how we think about ourselves and how we value ourselves. One definition of self-esteem is a person’s overall subjective emotional evaluation of his or her own worth. Therefore, someone with low self-esteem considers themselves to be worth little, whereas someone with high self-esteem considers themselves to have great worth. Much of the world derives their self-esteem from categories such as wealth, appearance, strength, occupation, popularity, celebrity, and relationships. Inevitably, the self-esteem of these individuals rises and falls based on how they are doing in these categories, especially in comparison to others. But what does the Bible say about self-esteem? How are we to determine our worth? What is the true source of our worth?

The terms self-worth and self-esteem do not appear in the pages of Scripture. Self-worth, when understood as worth DERIVED from the self, as opposed to the opinion we have of ourselves, is a bit of a misnomer. In order to have any self-worth (independent from God), we would have to be self-made, which is impossible. In order to create yourself, you would need to exist already. If you existed already, you would not need to create yourself. Not only is self-creation a logical impossibility, we have the testimony of God’s word to refute it. We are, in fact, made by God and in the image of God, and this truth is the basis of our worth. We can say with David, “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well” (Psalm 139:13–14). The fact that we are made in the image of the only eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful, all-wise God could easily become a temptation to pride. This is why we must always remember that our creation, our continued existence and our worth, lies not in ourselves, but in the powerful working of God (Genesis 1:27Acts 17:28Hebrews 1:3).

If we are made in the image of God, why do so many people struggle with the issue of their worth? The answer can be summed up in two words—the fall. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, the image of God in them became shattered and marred. Whereas they once walked naked in the garden without shame; after they sinned, they became ashamed and hid themselves from God. They covered themselves, and mankind has been covering himself ever since. We cover our sense of shame, guilt, and lack of worth with the attire of wealth, beauty, strength, status, and popularity. However, these coverings merely mask our problem, which is that our relationship with God, the source of our worth, has been lost. Scripture speaks of fallen man as separated from God and at war with Him. We who were created in God’s image have become rebels against Him. As C.S. Lewis said, “Fallen man is not simply an imperfect creature who needs improvement: he is a rebel who must lay down his arms.” Scripture speaks of mankind in our fallen state as sinful and worthless.

Romans 3:10–12 says, “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” Romans 3:23 says, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 6:23tells us that “the wages of sin is death.”

So, how do we, who have become enemies of God, worthy of death and damnation, restore our relationship with God, and therefore our worth? The short answer is, we can’t and we don’t. Fallen, sinful man is incapable of approaching a holy God. For this reason, God, because of His great love for us, sent a mediator, His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to live a perfect life and die for our sins, so that we might be reconciled to Him.

“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time” (1 Timothy 2:5–6).

By repenting of our sin and believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are reconciled to God. The worth lost by our sin is regained and surpassed through faith in the righteousness of Christ. As believers in Christ, we have worth because:

1) All humans are made in the image of God and therefore are of value (Genesis 1:26–27Psalm 139).

2) God loves us and has regenerated us.

Ephesians 2:4–7 tells us, “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, MADE US ALIVE together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus” (emphasis added).

3) Jesus died for us and has appeased God’s wrath toward us.

According to Romans 5:8 “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

4) God redeemed us from slavery to sin and has empowered us to pursue holiness.

Romans 6:17–18 declares, “But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.”

5) God has transferred us into His glorious kingdom.

We read in Colossians 1:13–14 that “He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

6) God is our friend.

Romans 5:10 says, “For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.”

7) We are righteous in God’s sight.

Romans 3:23–24 says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”

8) We have been adopted by God.

Ephesians 1:5–6 tells us that God “predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.”

9) We are heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.

Romans 8:16–17 says, “The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.”

10) We have been uniquely gifted for service in God’s kingdom.

We read in Romans 12:3–8: “For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.”

The true basis of our worth is not to be found in the things of this world but in our right relationship to God, which is made possible only through faith in Christ, and through the gifts bestowed on us by the Spirit. In Christ and because of Christ, we are of infinite worth to God. Unlike the ever-fluctuating self-esteem of the world, our worth does not and cannot change, for our worth is rooted in the love of Christ.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? … No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:3537–39).

Finally, the race is not for the swift because whenever we do things too quickly, we end up making mistakes.  The mistakes that we make by doing something too fast makes us feel frustrated and giving up entirely on the things that we are supposed to do.  The race is for all of us to participate.  The prize at the end of the race is eternal life.

Dysfunctional Family

Could Someone Please tell me whether this is true?

Hello! How are you doing today? Fine, I hope.  I have a very important question.  Could someone please tell me whether this is true?  I will admit that there are dysfunctional families worldwide.  It is that, in my case, I keep constantly arguing with my family members all of the time.  For instance, I want to tell all of you that I have a brother that I have not spoken to in over 24 years now.  This is simply because we got into a fist fight over the simple fact that he called me out of my name.  What he did not understand that my brother did not know that my great grandmother raised me from the time that I was a baby until I was 7 years old.  When it comes to my love life, I really did not have a love life.  This is because the women in my life took advantaged of me.  Even though I had worked during all of my relationships.  When I look at this picture, it reminds me of a dysfunctional relationship.  It reminds me of a couple who got finished arguing with each other.  Do you know that most couples argue over sex and finances?  I do not know why couples argue over sex and finances, but when it comes to these topics, it causes married couples to get a divorced.

My problem consists of working to support the family.  I also want to inform all of you that I had to work 3 jobs in Charlotte, NC because the cost of living was a whole lot higher than Dayton, Ohio.  I know that there are family members rarely contact me; even during the time that I was involved in my relationships.  I want to inform all of you that I really love these blogs.  The word sin means to miss the mark.  We are born sinners.  I want to inform all of you to please keep me in your prayers because I am losing my eyesight.  This is the first time I have used borders in my blogs.  Anyway, when it comes to my own family, it is not very easy.  This is a way for me to make amends to God and myself.  I want to inform all of you that the definition above really makes sense.

Moreover, I want to inform all of you that I have come a very long way.  I want to inform everyone that I am guilty of starting a lot of stuff in the past.  I am just like my mother.  If I do not have anything nice to say to someone, I would rather say nothing to the next person.  I know that I have a lot of friends as well as family members.  It makes perfect sense for me to pray for someone who are arrogant and rude.  Before I went to the library this afternoon, there was a young man, who was pugnacious.

I want to inform everyone that this young man was starting a fight with anyone he came in contact with.  I would rather pray for him, rather than fight him.  Back to the lecture at hand, it is time for me to make amends to all of my family members.  I know that my mother and aunt always reminded that if you burn a bridge, you never know when you might need to cross it!!  God Bless You!!  The Lord is with me always.  The picture above means that God is the only one who knows how to resolve every problem that we have in our personal life.  Stay Strong and God Bless You!!  Thanks for reading my blog.

Faithfully Submitted,

What is The Definition of a Friend?

What is the Definition of a Friend?

What is the definition of a friend?  A Friend is someone of your choosing.  The actual definition of a friend is a companion or someone who you are affiliated with.  1.

a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically exclusive of sexual or family relations.  A friend is a male or a female that you tend to have a specific bond with.

According to Proverbs 18:24, a man of many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.  This means that if a person has a whole lot of friends on earth, they will let you down.  Jesus Christ is more than a friend.  He is everything!!

I love Jesus Christ because He died for my sins.  Jesus Christ died for all of our sins.  He is the friend that sticks closer than a brother.  To be perfectly honest with everyone, I have both male and female friends.  I have more female friends than male friends because females are understanding, intelligent, polite, considerate, respectful, helpful, and genuine.  My male friends are blunt, kind, sincere, respectful, helpful, and honest.

Proverbs 17:17 says a friend loves at all times and a brother is born for adversity.  This means that friends can love you more than your own family.  A friend is someone who helps you out all of the time.  There is no one like Jesus Christ.  Jesus has listened and helped me when my own friends did not help me.  What a friend that we have in Jesus!!

I want to inform everyone that I have friends everywhere.  I have friends inside of my own hometown of Dayton, Ohio, Charlotte, NC, and Toledo, Ohio.  All of my friends in Dayton, Ohio used to be my enemies.  Right Now, we are friends because we had to squash all of our differences in the past.  Even though, my friends in Dayton, Ohio are different than they are in Charlotte, NC, and Toledo, Ohio.  My friends in Charlotte, NC are genuine.  They are kind, considerate, understanding, intelligent, bright, honest, and very blunt.  My friends in the Toledo, Ohio area are honest, helpful, respectful, brave, clean, reverent, and frank.

All of my female friends are understanding towards me all of the time.  My best female friend lives in Charlotte, NC.  I talk to her every week.  I want to inform all of you that I have best male and female friends everywhere inside of the United States.  God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are one.  If it wasn’t for God, and Jesus Christ I would not have anything in my possession.  I would not have any friends either.  You see one thing, I have learned something from the movie Ghost with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore.  The movie proved that your love that you have inside of you; you take it right with you in heaven.

I really love Jesus Christ and God because according to John 10:30 I and my Father are One.  Jesus Christ will always be available for me all of the time.  Did you know that God and Jesus Christ have selected my friends?  I know that I have made some good and bad decisions in my life.  God always tell me to help my friends all of the time.  We all have Spiritual Gifts and Talents.  We select our friends based on our personal interest.  Do you know that Jesus Christ is the only friend that I really need?

A Definition of the word friend is a person who makes sense in everything that they really say.  I rely on a lot of people for guidance and direction.  I always talk to all of my friends all of the time.  I really love everyone.  If I have to help someone just to maintain a relationship.  Lord Jesus Lead me with your Holy Spirit.   Holy Spirit Lead Me!!

A friend is a sweet friendship, and it refreshes the soul.  Do you know that all of my friends have attributes that I love about them?  My friends are really very honest people.  My friends in other places adore me the most.  My friends are all very nice, kind, compassionate, and respectful people.  I love all of you very much.  No matter where you live, I love all of you.  I love all of you very much.  I might live in Dayton, Ohio, but if God tell me to go somewhere else and live, I have to listen and obey God.

My Soul Pants for The Lord

My Soul Pants for the Lord!!

This is an essay that I really love the most.  Psalms 42:1 states as the deer pants after the water brook, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.  My soul at this times will always crave for you Lord.  There was a period of time when I used to crave for marijuana and other mind altering substances from 1972-1990.  I prayed to God on May 2, 1990 at 7:00PM to remove my desire to smoke marijuana, crack, and alcohol.  I was sincere in my prayers to God because I was tired of being sick and tired of the high cost of low living.

Next, I want to inform everyone that I no longer have a desire to smoke marijuana and drink alcohol.  I really feel good about myself because I do not connect with people from my past anymore.  I want to inform everyone that a hart is a deer.  My soul desires to hear the voice of God every day of my life.  I want to inform everyone that I am praying to God every single day in order my nieces and nephews could stop drinking alcohol.

Also, I want to say that my soul pants for the Lord because I want better things for myself.  I want to say that this Bible verse really enables me to get things together.  I want to inform everyone that my life has changed for the better.  I have a real job right now.  My soul thirst for the Almighty God.  My soul craves the Lord every single day because I have new objectives for my life.

Further, I want to say that my soul craves the Lord because I belong to Him.  My destination is heaven because I have made the right amends for the Lord.  I pray every single day of the week.  I write inside of my journal all of the time.  I also apologize to people that I have hurt in my past.  There are some of my family members who have not made amends to me personally.  I have to forgive others when they continue to wrong me.  I will admit that I had done wrong for over 35 years.  I have been clean and sober since May 2, 1990.  I am very proud of myself for remaining clean and sober in spite of all of my personal problems.

Moreover, I want to say that my soul still desires for the Lord each and every single day of my life.  My Spirit is clean right now.  I am still powerless over people, places, and things.  At least according to Alcoholics Anonymous on page 417 Acceptance A.A. Big Book – Acceptance is the answer to ALL of my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing or situation- some fact of my life- unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing, or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment. Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens in God’s world by mistake. Until I could accept my alcoholism, I could not stay sober; unless I accept my life completely on life’s terms, I cannot be happy. I need to concentrate not so much on what needs to be changed in the world as on what needs to be changed in me and in my attitudes.

Also, I want to say that when it comes to dealing other people, I have to make direct amends and pray for them as well as be there for them in all ways possible.  I really have changed a whole lot since 1990.  I will admit that I might have a mental illness, but God loves me.

God got my back.  My soul pants for the Living God every single day because He is willing to help me out of any situation. I want to say that everyone should have their soul thirst after Him for the rest of their life.  My soul craves for the Holy Spirit that is inside of me to help me to do the right things every day of my life.  I have to try to still resolve all of my issues with other people that I have not seen in a great number of years.  I love the Lord God so much that it is He who gives me His breath of life.  My soul thirst for the Lord God because this world is changing so fast.  I will always need His help for as long as I live.

Finally, I want to say that I am a changed man.  My soul thirst for more knowledge and wisdom from the Living God.  I love Him so much that I am willing to do the right things in my personal life.  I will say that I strive for spiritual progress rather than spiritual perfection.  Only one person was perfect and that is Jesus Christ.  My job is to share the Gospel with others who are not saved.  I am living the Great Commission.  I love everyone!! I know that I am a mortal man, who have a lot of common sense.  I am a man who has a lot of knowledge and experience from living life.

In Conclusion, I want to say that I love everyone who I am in contact with.  I am willing to do without money just to help out other people.  I know that my mother, grandmothers, aunts, and uncles taught me how to become a person who shows unconditional love towards others.  I will admit that there was a time when I was very angry at those who hurt me in the past.  Right now, I pray for the same people who have hurt me, and forgive everyone who injure me in any way.  I am a person who easily forgive others all of the time.  I really do not argue with anyone.  I want to say that I know that I still have a long way to go in my journey for peace everlasting.  Please continue to pray for me and all of my family members and friends.  Please also pray for those that I know and those I do not know.  I love you very much.

My name is Anthony Joseph Hopkins and I am from Dayton, Ohio.  I have been writing for a total of 30 years.  I have a total of 3350 Blogs that I have written on my own.  I love to write because it helps me to cope with a mental illness.  I love to read, write, travel, and use the computer. Please stay strong everyone!! I love all of you.

Lamentations 3:39

Lamentations 3:39: And What It Means to All People!!

By: Anthony Joseph Hopkins August 18, 2020

        39. Why Should a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?  Allow me to expand on this Bible verse.  Lamentations 3:39 has a whole lot to do with the sins that we commit against God.  When it comes to a man, woman, and child that sins, why shall we complain when we sin against God?

Why should a living man complain about the punishment of his sins.  Frankly, a man should repent of his sins rather than complain about it.  I mean his sins.

Micah 7:9 says I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against Him, until He pleads my case and executes justice for me.  He will bring me forth to the light; I will see His righteousness.  The reason why I wrote this Bible verse is simply because it coincides with Lamentations 3:39. These two Bible verses are alike when it comes to man’s sins.  The Bible verse Micah 7:9 talks about God’s wrath against mankind.  God will execute justice for all of us.  In the previous Bible verse, man complains about his sins.

I guess whenever man complains to God about his sins, man is trying to question God’s wrath against him.  Man is also questioning his punishment from God to begin with.  Why should a living man complain?  Man is expressing his dissatisfaction about his sins to God.  I understand why Jeremiah wrote it!!  Jeremiah wrote it as a complaint against God.  When it comes to our sins, we do not have any business complaining to God or anyone else!!  I understand what a lament means.  The word lament means to complain or express sorrow.

I sincerely understand that God is giving all of us a second chance at life.  I know that man is not supposed to quarrel or argue with God in the first place.  Man is very sinful.  Man, questions everything that he does wrong because he is afraid and terrified of God’s wrath.  When it comes to Micah 7:9, it specifically talks about God’s wrath on the wicked.

In my case, I know that I am a sinful man, who needs God’s grace and mercy upon me.  When it comes to my sins, and iniquities, I have to be transparent and accountable for all of my sins.

Finally, I have realized that I cannot fight God either way.  I know that God created me for a reason.  I might not know my reason for existing to all of my questions.

I know that if I see God for myself, I might have to pay the price!! This means that I might perish in the process.  When it comes to my sins, God has the right to judge me according to all of my sins.  Man can only make an opinion about me.  Even though, I have to adhere to Man’s laws and God’s Laws as well.

The Tongue is a Consuming Fire

The Human Tongue is a fire by itself.  It cannot be tamed.  By Anthony Joseph Hopkins August 25, 2021

The Human tongue is a little member; and boast great things.  Behold how great a matter a little fire is kindled!!  The tongue is a fire a world of iniquity: so is the tongue.  The tongue defiles the body.  The tongue is capable of doing a lot of damage to anyone who is present.  Everything that the tongue says, it is very dangerous.

The tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness.  The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.  For every kind of beast and bird, reptiles, and sea creatures can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue.  It is a restless evil, full of poison.  The human tongue is so lethal that it cuts like a sword.  However, man can control his or her actions before acting out violently.

Therefore, the tongue is a fire that is very difficult to extinguish.  Let us examine our feelings and emotions before the actual eruption of a very dangerous fire.

The tongue cannot become extinguished by any means.  Blessings and cursing that comes out of the same mouth.  This is not supposed to take place inside of the earth itself.  However. I understand that living inside of Planet Earth is dangerous.  In most cases, we are in peril right now as we speak.

In most cases, we are in peril right now as we speak,

Steps Ordered by God

Steps ordered by God

Is it true that our steps are ordered by God?  This is a very good question.  The reason why I am asking this question is simply because I am curious.  The following Bible verses will be discussed: Jeremiah 10:23, Proverbs 20:24, Job 34:21, and Job 31:4.  First, I would like to emphasize that God does order our steps.  According to Jeremiah 10:23 says O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.  This means that it is a Power that is greater than ourselves that is actually helping us.

Second, in the Book of Proverbs in the 20th Chapter and the 24th verse which states that man’s goings are of the Lord, how can a man understand his own way?  This Bible verse is a little bit different.  A man’s goings are the steps that are ordered by God.  How can a man understand his own way?  This is a very good question.  God is solely responsible for telling us what to do.  God is still doing for all of us more than we are doing for ourselves.

Next, I want to inform all of you that God is in charge of all of our decisions.  I want to mention that God does give man a free will.  With this free will, it is a choice that God gives us to do according to the Will of God, or else, we are going to perish. I want to do what God tells me to.  I know that I have made some bad decisions in my personal life.  I also want to say that God makes decisions for us, even though, we have failed as a human being at times.

Third, I would like to talk about the Book of Job.  In Job 34:21 says; For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all of his goings.  This means that God is watching all of us very carefully.  He counts our steps each day of our lives.  The word goings mean steps in the Bible.  This means that there is someone who is giving us instructions while we are living on earth.  God even knows exactly how long we are going to live on earth.

Fourth, God knows all of our ways and He also counts every step that we make in our lives.  Job 31:4 says; Doth not He sees my ways, and count all of my steps?  The answer to this question is yes.  The word doth means Does in the Bible.  I want to inform all of you that it is God who knows all things about mankind.  To be honest with all of you, while we are sleeping inside of our beds at night, God opens the ears of man and sealeth their instruction.  This is in Job 33:14-16.

Fifth and Finally, I want to inform all of you that God speaks to all of us while we are sleeping.  He gives us our daily instructions.  In Summary, God gives us life.  The breath that we breathe each day does not belong to us anyway.  God counts all of our steps in our lives.  Everything that I have typed is the truth.  The Bible backs up everything I have been sharing today.  God Bless All of You!!!  Please have a blessed day!

Are We Being Judged by Our Works

Are we being judged by our works?

What is the definition of the word works?  Works are activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result.  Works also are a task or tasks to be undertaken; something a person or thing has to do.  For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

What Does the Bible say about works? Therefore, when we work, we resemble Him. In addition, work is not God’s way of punishing us. In fact, He blesses us with the ability to work so that we can honor Him. Colossians 3:22 says, “You who are servants who are owned by someone, obey your owners.

Are we being judged by our works by God?

Next, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”  If I am doing something that pleases God, then I am doing works.  Works are physical and mental efforts that applies to our daily lives.

According to evangelical Baptist theology, good works are the consequence of salvation and not its justification. They are the sign of a sincere and grateful faith. They include actions for the Great Commission, that is, evangelism, service in the Church and charity.

Further, I want to inform all of you that God is watching us every single day of our lives.  Do you know that every idle word that we say would either justify or condemn us?

This is according to Matthew 12:36. This is the reason why I try my very best to perform tasks that are pleasing to God.  I know that I am not perfect, but I try my very best to do good things that would benefit mankind.  For instance, I planted a garden for the Merry Oaks Community in Charlotte, NC.  I planted watermelon and cantaloupe inside of my front yard.

God is watching all of us on a daily basis.  Job 34:21 says: His eyes are on the ways of men; He sees their every step.  This is very serious because we cannot get away with our sins.  This is the reason why I am blessed every single day of the week.  I know that I have done a whole lot for other people in my life.  God is recording and monitoring our progress.

God is doing more for all of us more than we are doing for ourselves.  This is the reason why I feel guilty because I know that God is watching me.  God always want all of us to perform good deeds, while we are living inside of the planet.  Are we being under surveillance by God?  The answer is yes!!  God watches us all of the time.

A GOOD DEED A WEEK:

  • Let your first check of the year be to charity.
  • Help a friend in need.
  • Volunteer for an hour at an organization of your choice.
  • Save electricity by unplugging your devices when not in use.
  • Buy a gift for your mother or grandmother – just because.
  • Allow a fellow driver to merge into your lane.

Finally, I want to say that each and every single day of the week, God wants all of us to perform for Him.  I want to say that I did not know that even if we help other people, we are doing good deeds for God.  This is the reason why I feel good about myself because I help other people with tasks that are very simple.  I love everything that God has created.  God wants all of us to perform the Great Commission on a daily basis.

We Shall Love The Lord Our God

We Shall Love The Lord Our God!

This is an essay that consists of Bible verses from the Book of Deuteronomy.  The first Bible verse that I would like to talk about is in Deuteronomy 6:5: It says you shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart, with all of your soul, and with all of your strength.  I love the Lord God so much that I have dedicated my life to Him; by not listening to rap music.  I have dedicated my life to Him by sharing with others about what the Lord has done for me.

Next, when you love the Lord your God; you are putting to an end the physical, mental, and social self by submitting to His will.  Deuteronomy 8:6 says: Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and fear Him.  Second, we do this by obeying His word, and placing our hearts, mind, and soul to Him.

We have to submit to God by hearing His voice through prayer and reading His word.  We also have to submit to His will in our lives by giving up the things that we have done in our life.  Deuteronomy 11:13 says: And it shall be that if you earnestly obey my commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all of your heart, and with all of your soul.

Third, we do this by loving Him in the same way He loved us.  We also demonstrate this same love for God to other people in our lives.  According to Deuteronomy 11:22: For if you carefully keep all these commandments which I command you to do- to love the Lord your God, to walk in all of His ways, and to hold fast to Him. Fourth, we serve Him; is we love Him.  We do this by walking after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments, and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. Deuteronomy 13:4.

This means that we have to fear the Lord God, our Creator, and His son Jesus Christ.  We are not supposed to fear mortal man because man was created from the dust of the ground according to Genesis 2:7.  In order to live in the spirit, we have to be born again.
