ONE DAY AT A TIME
What does it mean to take it One Day at a Time?
Good Afternoon Everyone!! How are you doing today? Fine, I hope. I am writing this blog by asking a question. What does it mean to take it one day at a time? I really feel that if I am living for God, I can make things very easy for myself. By taking it one day at a time is like pacing yourself at your own pace. I want to inform all of you that I am dealing with problems other than alcohol right now. It is not easy living inside of this world, doing things that people inside of the world does. I want to inform everyone that my life has not been very easy. I will admit that I have made things very difficult for myself.
Next, I want to tell everyone that I still have to learn how to deal with life God’s Way. I will admit that I have to pray more and read the Bible each day of the week. I know that my life has been complicated because I just want to do things my way. One day at a time mean to be a peace with God. I know that there are problems that I still have to resolve in my past. I have been depressed and hearing voices each day. Sometimes the voices prevent me from completing my daily goals. For instance, I have not cleaned up my apartment thoroughly since last summer. I will admit that ever since Mom died, my life has been an emotional wreck.
Further, I want to share with everyone that I have not taken a drink or smoke any weed in almost 28 years. I will admit that I have been taking a shower 4 times per week because I suffer from a skin disease. I cannot use just anyone else’s soap. For instance, I cannot go to the store and select just anything and use it. I get very sick. If I take things one day at a time, I know that God will do the rest for me. It is God that is doing for me, more than I am doing for myself. I have made some decisions that does not make sense. I mean, that I have been sleeping on the floor for the past 8 years now. I know that this is called living life one day at a time. I want to tell everyone that I have to tell the truth about myself.
Moreover, I want to allow God to dwell inside of me and completely take over my life. I am a wretch according to Isaiah 64:6. Our lives are as filthy as rags that are completely dirty. It is sad right now because I have not taken life one day at a time. I have thrown myself at the hands of Satan himself. I will admit that my life has been up one day and down the next. I have to start living for God. I have to start living for God. By taking my life one day at a time is like pacing yourself during a long race. I know that if I run too fast, I might pass out or run out of gas. By taking my life one day at a time means yielding to a power that is greater than myself. I have to really get ready for the next 28 years of my life. If I live to see 80 years of my life, this means that I have taken life one day at a time. I know that I have been feeling exhausted right now. I do not have a desire to consume foods.
In Addition, I have to get ready for the world to change even quicker. I have to adapt to changes that might not be suitable for my needs. I mean, I have to get ready to conform to a set of standards that might not be the best for me. The word conform means to comply with or change by going to the flow of things. Taking life one day at a time means that I have to mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually prepare in advance when it comes to doing certain things. I feel at ease by allowing God to enter inside of my body, meaning the Holy Spirit and guide me in a way that I have never been guided before.
Also, I know that God will do His part in changing me in the way that I want. I have to do my part as well. It is not very easy because man has a sinful nature. I have to deal with this and accept it for the way it is. This is my biggest problem, I do not accept change very well. When it comes to taking life one day at a time, I have to give God some time. I have to allow God to prepare me for something that is very nice. I know that my life has been messed up. I have a tendency to complicate things for myself. Jeremiah 32:27 says I am the Lord the God of all flesh, is there anything too hard for me? If it is not hard for God, why is mankind complaining about minor change? I really do not know. One day at a time is a challenge for some people; I included.
Finally, I want to say that if a person pace themselves without being rushed into doing something, they will accomplish a whole lot in their personal lives. One day at a time means to work at a pace that is sufficient for you. The 12 Steps of Recovery are there for all of us who have problems in their lives with anything. One day at a time is dwelling with sweet Jesus Christ. I know that God accepts me for who I am as a person. Mankind might not accept me in the same way that God accepts us, but I know that there is a better way to change in life.
Music Therapy
Music Therapy
This is a very special blog concerning music therapy. What is music therapy; one might ask? Music Therapy is therapy consisting of sounds, melody, lyrics, and a special blend of language that soothes the soul. Music Therapy is harmony, feeling, emotion that is very tantalizing to the senses. How is music therapy very effective? Music therapy heals the body from all sorts of ailments. Music therapy is being applied everywhere as a means of healing from trauma, depression, and it also provides a sense of companionship for those who are lonely.
Music Therapy is very effective and it has a natural healing component. This natural healing component consists of a favorite music that provides comfort in any situation. Music Therapy is singing, joy, laughter, and it also has excitement. My favorite music is jazz. Jazz to me heals me from any pain from my past. Music Therapy heals me because it allows me to ease my pain from the vibrations from the energy of the sounds of drums, guitars, saxophones, harmonicas, and trumpets that are played to entice me to dance instead of focusing on what is hard pressing my mind. Music Therapy is a great alternative to regular therapeutic methods.
Economy and Recession
Economy and the Recession
This is a special report concerning two key important issues in the United States. The economy and the recession are the issues that most Americans are talking about right now. These two topics have caused millions of Americans to become extremely concerned about money and its impact on their communities. First, the economy is a very important topic inside of the households of millions of Americans. The reason why is because where are the jobs when you need them? What are the benefits, consequences and repercussions of the current recession? We need answers to these very important questions right now.
The definition of the word economy is the careful management of money, materials, and resources. It is also a system or structure for the management of resources and production of goods and services. Americans right now are extremely careful on how they are spending their hard earned money. Everyone is being conservative and making decisions when it comes to buying medications that are required to treat specific illnesses to taking care of children. Consumer spending also affects purchasing power and the decisions to purchase food at grocery stores as well.
Next, if there is a lack of jobs in the United States, then there is a very serious problem. Where are these jobs right now? No one knows!! This means that the United States, the world’s richest country, has millions of its citizens that are out of work. Also, if our country is in a recession; this means that there is a lack of resources, money, and services that are needed to jumpstart the economy all over again.
Further, the definition of the word recession is a period of time of reduced economic activity. This means that an activity that pertains to consumer spending declines very quickly due to unusual sets of circumstances. This means that consumer spending has slowed down due to rationing. Americans are making decisions to purchase things that are required for their respective homes and communities. Another example is the reluctance or unwillingness to purchase homes, condominiums, vehicles, clothes, and other material things due to economic constraints. This means that with a limited income, purchasing power sharply declines. With a limited income, there are just so many things that are purchased for the home.
Currently, we are already experiencing a recession. I do not understand why there is a discussion about another recession when we are not out of the current one that many of us are facing right now. What are the economist are saying right now? There are as many as 22 major US Cities that are more than likely to face a second recession. Who are making these predictions? Many of these predictions that are made by economist are accurate at the present time. However, at the moment, there are millions of Americans who are losing jobs on a daily basis.
In addition, there are many cities in the United States that are deeply impacted by this current recession already. For the time being, the people who are responsible for making legislative decisions for us; will have to stick to their promises. If the city’s financial infrastructure has crumbled, this means that many industries inside of these major cities have terminated their services. A down economy has caused millions of companies to fold and shut down.
This has caused millions to lose their jobs and these laid off workers have been having a really hard time finding additional employment. Finding jobs right now is like looking for gold inside of a creek. This is due to the transition from industrial to technological industry that is fast and growing. This means that all of the blue collar jobs from the past are leaving and the new has arrived. For example, millions of Americans will have to attend college to enhance the skills that they already have, or change careers. By changing a career, this requires additional education and training for laid off workers.
This also applies to older workers and those who have less education right now. What are the advantages and disadvantages of furthering your education? No one knows at the moment!! In essence, this means that for every college graduate, there is a challenge when it comes to obtaining a decent job. This means that an average college student will have to apply for their position within a year prior to graduation. This also means that older workers will have to gain additional education in order to stay competitive. This is because there are millions who are applying for the same job.
Let’s focus on the companies that are already in the United States right now. In order for these companies to stay here in this country, the cities and states will have to provide an additional incentive. For instance, each city and state can give companies a stimulus or additional money to make certain that jobs are maintained and created.

Communication and Gender
I had just completed a report on men, women, and communication. It has been confirmed that there are differences in communication between men and women. Men are solution prone, while women are probing. The reasons why is because women tend to explore to find out the reasons why people behave the way that they do. They are intelligent in their decision making processes. Women are nuturing as well as men. It is that men focus more on solutions a lot quicker than women. Communication is a two way street. It is that when it comes to listening and understanding why things are the way they are in human behavior, it is best to consult with women. It is best to consult with women when it pertains to this subject is because of the capacity to listen, discern, and to evaluate methodology and sociology. This is a learned behavior that women are excellent in performing. Listening and communication skills go hand in hand. It is that men tend to be judgmental and they sometimes are not as apt to spend a great deal of time understanding human behavior. Women and men behave differently and they process information in ways that differ from each other. Information processing begins inside of the human brain. It also has a lot to do with how long do we spend understanding another person. Understanding another person and their personal habits takes a great deal of time. This is not very easy and in some cases, human behavior itself can become extremely complicated. It is not complicated as long as you take time to learn how other’s behave. This also include yourself in this equation.
